I was craving Mexican food and was in Gulfport so I tried somewhere new. It was Sunday around 2:00 so it wasn't overly busy which I liked. They offer lunch specials daily until 3:00, but I tried the vegetable fajitas off the regular menu. The food was well seasoned and came out quickly. I noticed that kids eat free on Sundays and they have specials on the margaritas. My total for all of this food before tip was less than $18. I have enough left over for lunch tomorrow so I think it was a good deal. The service was great and I will definitely be back. read more

My wife asked what margaritas they had he said frozen or ice my wife answered ice he left without explaining what they had. Brought a reg one my wife wanted top shelf he said that's $20 she said ok bad attitude. When bill came they charged for both would not take the reg one that wasn't touched off the bill. I've always gotten the cheese enchiladas that's my favorite thing I like my cheese enchiladas with sour cream sauce and the accommodated that they were awesome. I've had both Frozen and Margarita on the rocks and are great I felt it. Service was great. The negative part is not from dining in I had to go twice after that and ordered the same things and it was subpar it was gelatinous and maybe got a scoop of rice and a scoop of beans not happy with it whatsoever. I do prefer a chunkier salsa though and theirs was smoother, I did appreciate the kick in it . The drinks were mediocre but it doesn't take much for me to be lit anyway lol! But the food was excellent! Hot and fresh and delivered fast. The portions are way bigger than any place I have been to. I will be going back to try some out of the ordinary dishes. This is the closet thing to real Mexican food that you will find in this area. Although the outside appearance is not spectacular the food and the service is! The chips and salsa are great. The chips are not too thick but they aren't thin and flimsy. I love how they give you the container of salsa so you are able to refill it yourself. Plenty of toes and that just offal! Menudo connoisseur? Come here weekends. With the perfect blend of annatto, guajillo chile, Mexican oregano, bay leaf, tomato, cumin, tender tripe and of course calf's foot--this is nirvana in a bowl. It is sticky on the fingers, smooth in the mouth, and just slightly a slow simmering burn on the lips. It is done right. The gelatin from the bones has been sufficiently rendered. The traditional side garnishes are served with steaming tortillas of your choice. And as every Texan or gringo visitor to Mexico knows--get the rustic corn offerings. Forget the public space--this generous dish will have you sucking and gnawing on righteous toes. Good Lord it's good! As a dedicated patron of St. Menudo and a specialized chef saucier I can attest that it is as good or better as any in Mexico or the Texas Rio Valley. Enjoy it with Tecate, Modelo Negra or horchata all ice cold. But if you don't like bone soup you will say mucho gusto the superbly seasoned carnitas. The pastor will literally melt in your mouth--try it in an overstuffed burrito. And the vegetarian enchiladas verdes are supreme by my taste. Traditional agua fresca is also sold and served in individual pitchers. I am a horchata fanatic--also tamarindo. The portions served here are so huge no wonder Mississippi is fat.
