I worked into.the restaurant and no one introduced themselves to me and sat me down we had to sit ourselves then when I did find someone they wanted me to sit by the bathroom then I got really bad food and the waiter who must have been their son had no clue how to be a waiter because he never checked on us after we got our food. Our service sucked and so did the food. I would never eat there ever again. The mansger just seemed like he would have rather watched the soccer match then take care of us. Then the waiter screwed up our bill and he would not change it and wanted to fight with us and then they also charged me a .40 take out charge for a desert I decided to take home with me. I ordered take out the chicken tacos and carne asada street tacos there is no meat on them and so many onions you couldn't taste the meat at all the tortillas were drenched in oil and only received one salsa for entire order. Also order the enchilada and rice and beans that was actually good small portion of filling in the enchilada but tasted good. Walked in to Jalisco east tonight. Not busy at all. A few people at tables. Only 1 couple at the bar where I sat after I walked in. When you walk in there is a very loud ding dong. Waited around for close to 5 minutes and no service. Then a guy finally walks behind the bar, grabs a couple of glasses and starts cleaning them, never acknowledges my presence. Food, service, staff, owner, and ambiance is fantastic. However, watch your debit or credit card transaction! We ALWAYS leave a cash tip on the table because it's always more than 15%. Our bill was $50 for 2 meals. We left $15 cash tip. Wrote $0.00 on the tip line and also wrote "tip left on table". I also told them not to put the tip on the credit card. What you order will have a big difference on your experience. I got the fajitas two separate times and the meal was tasty, it was fair priced, and it was hot. I would completely get the fajitas here again. While I prefer to eat in, even if you take the fajitas to go they do a great job packaging it to you get your hot and cold portions separately. We also order tacos to go because our normal taco restaurant was closed for the day. The tacos were dripping juicy and not a favorite of mine. Go in with an open mind and try a few different things. The chile rellenos I had tonight was one of the best I've ever had. Exceptional breading and stuffed with the right amount of cheese. The rice and beans were very good. My wife on the other hand, was less than impressed. She ordered a combo with a taquitos and a chicken chimichanga. The chicken chimichanga was miniature. It was only slightly larger then a milky way candy bar. Her taquitos was even smaller. I wound up giving her my enchilada that came with my chile relleno because she had so little to eat. The pork itself was so salty as to be almost inedible, but the cheese enchiladas were pretty good. The standard chips and salsa are very good, and they serve them with a great white sauce! The staff is very friendly, but a bit slow, so be prepared for a longer wait than you might usually have. Having been at the location before while an asian , cuisine, I was wowed at the extensive remodel and warm, festive ambiance. The server was enthused and helpful in my choice of entree. Tried something new for a change and were pleasantly surprised. We came at Saturday lunch time and were two of maybe 10 diners max. Prices were quite reasonable and our meals were PHENOMENAL! I got the chimichanga meal and I took leftovers home. Great portion size. My boyfriend loved the white salsa they gave us with chips. It was kind of horseradish-y but something different than you usually get. We will be back, I think this may be our new go-to. The waiter even serenaded is when he brought our bill. Leaving satisfied in every way! Great dining experience! Update: Had a very disappointing dining experience today. The restaurant maybe had 8 tables. We never got the salsa and chips refill we asked for. Our food order was wrong. Mine was correct but my boyfriends was wrong. The waiter ran away almost immediately after dropping the food and we could not get his attention to tell him our food was wrong. We waited at least 20 minutes before someone came close enough to our table and he said it would be our in a few minutes. It was another 10. At least. And that time it was STEAK. The food here is surprisingly good! I say surprisingly only because Green Bay is seriously lacking in good Mexican food. Last night we ordered food to go. I had the enchiladas Rojas and my friend had the shrimp burrito, both were exceptional. Carry out order was ready in under 10 minutes and the service was great. They get 4 stars only because they didn't include any salsa with the chips and I specifically asked for chips and salsa. There were no other tables when I arrived to pick up the food, so a little attention to detail isn't asking too much. But overall, a great little place I am very happy to have close to home. Will definitely be our go to spot for Mexican! read more
