Two steak and two chorizo tacos with chips and salsa

As a Hispanic (Guatemala) who grew up on authentic food and usually avoids chains, I was blown away--this place is the real deal! Everything was delicious. I completely cleaned my tray (photo attached) and could've kept eating if I had room. The waitress was incredibly sweet and attentive, and the salsa bar is outstanding: tons of fresh, flavorful options and spotlessly clean. I'm already planning my next visit. This is my new go-to spot!

Taqueria Jalisco is a fantastic option for a Mexican meal if you are in the Franklin, Tennessee area. Walking in. I was warmly greeted and I grabbed a booth. They brought me chips and salsa, which was a great start to my lunch. I went with three tacos, an asada taco, a chorizo taco, and a carnitas taco. The food came out pretty quick and my friendly server pointed me towards the salsa bar. A salsa bar is always a great thing. A salsa bar is something that when I die, God will be giving me a tour of Heaven and say, "oh, by the way, there is Heaven's salsa bar." This salsa bar did not disappoint. The inside is nothing fancy, but I have always maintained that the best Mexican food is found in these humble, hole-in-the-wall, mom-and-pop type places. The restaurant definitely had that vibe and had a good overall feel and I did appreciate the lucha libre, Mexican wrestling stuff around the restaurant. I would definitely recommend Jalisco Taqueria. It is a great option and since it is in a shopping plaza, parking should not be an issue. I will give here five stars overall and that five star rating is definitely well deserved.

Consistently great street tacos at this place! Had the Al Pastor & Carnitas and neither was greasy and very flavorful! Plus they are pretty filled tacos! Even have a salsa bar - fave are the quac salsa and salsa verde! Always refreshing your chip basket! Good chips and salsa! Choriqueso was good too! Wish they had more margarita options! Not bad and generous pour but a little too sweet for me. Wish they had a Paloma or a lighter margarita option! Nice Mex beer selection. Staff is nice and always checking in on you - great customer service!

This restaurant has a nice salsa bar. The food was good and the decor was fun! The staff were friendly. We order Jalisco Dip, chicken and rice and a guacamole salad. Everything was good.

The inside is cute and trendy, making it a great spot to grab a bite. The food itself was very good! I tried the pollo tacos and a side of fries, and the fries had a unique taco seasoning that I absolutely loved. We also ordered chips and queso--the queso was delicious, though the chips were a bit too greasy for my taste. The portions are pretty good, and I was stuffed when we left! A few small downsides: The prices were a little steep for what you get. The cups were small, so we had to get up for refills-- and you bus your own table, which made tipping feel a bit odd. That said, the staff was friendly, and the overall experience was enjoyable. The inside is very very clean and well taken care of. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for something fun and flavorful! Parking is free and there is plenty all around the restaurant, which is always nice when near the Nashville area! We will be back for sure. I am already craving the fries again!

With the chorizo tacos - it was ok. Full of meat! A little dry, but better than being overly greasy. Chorizo is a hit or miss so I just added salt, sauce and cheese and messed them up.. As someone who's been to Mexico and lived in Southern California, this is not it. If you're looking for Americanized Mexican, great, you'll love it. But if you're looking for something authentic, do not go here. However the service is absolutely fantastic very kind and warm staff.
