Found an absolute gem of a spot when I was up to Denali for LDW. It's located in Cantwell right off the Parks Hwy! They are serving up some delicious sandwiches, salads, all day breakfast & fun apps like loaded fried & poutine. The owner is Jamaican so some of the dishes have Jamaican flavors infused into them. The owner was amazing to talk to & you can just tell he loves serving his delicious food. I will definitely be back to try the jerk chicken sandwich! Sadly he was out of some of the ingredients when I was visiting. I ordered the pork banh mi & it was packed with flavor. The pork was seasoned perfectly & the sandwich was loaded up with pickled veggies. I also ordered Jam's "frachos" from they appetizer selection. They loaded up with cheese sauce & pico de gallo. The portion on the fries was generous & they were crispy underneath the toppings. I took my food to go, but there was a decent amount of seating for dine in! If you're looking for a place to eat while up by Denali national park I highly recommend checking out Jam Jam's Spot for a satisfying flavor packed meal! Sadly there aren't many options up by Denali & with my favorite 229 Parks closed I'm always looking for some good with good flavor that's not super touristy. They will be open in the winter this season which again winter dining is extremely limited up in this area!

This place was amazing !! We got the curry chicken sandwich & jerk sandwich. Soooo good, the homemade jam BBQ sauce was incredible & so was the lemon eclair cake! Would stop again given every opportunity. Also a wonderful place to stop in a cloudy day because the interior is so yellow and sunny looking :)

Must-stop for munchies headed to Denali! We had the spring rolls and Jerk Chicken Sammie. Outstanding! And the staff are awesome hosts - so welcoming. Stop and stay for awhile at Jam Jam's!

We passed by this place for a quick lunch bite. We ordered Jam's Curry Salad with chicken and Jam Jam's Banana Donut Holes, very yummy Jamaican style foods. Btw, Yelp shows it is closed today and its Yelp's location is incorrect (17 miles away), so I had hard time check in.

Definitely recommend making a stop at Jam Jam's Spot. I had the the Chipotle Chick sandwich with fries. Both were excellent and made to order. The chicken and the fries were crispy and seasoned well. I was hungry and failed to get pictures of the food, but the food pictures posted by other reviewers are accurate. The staff were welcoming. As for the spot itself, everything was very clean and bright. It's set back from road so be in the lookout. I will make stop here again next time I'm in the area.

Note that one plate of three large pancakes is enough to feed 2 adults (and we still couldn't finish them). The coffee was good, but could have been hotter. For dinner, I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and my wife had the chili with cornbread. Both were delicious. Our two cocktails were also good. The atmosphere is that of an upscale lodge. Service was fine. Prices were typical for the area.

EXCELLENT FOOD: Terrible service:…read more I just want to start by saying the food was excellent. The kitchen absolutely did its job. The service, however, was terrible enough to have to make a review. Our server, Kat, acted like our table was an inconvenience from the moment we sat down. My sister was dining with her 1-year-old child, and when we asked for a high chair, Kat rolled her eyes, grabbed one, and dropped it off on the opposite side of the table from where the baby was actually sitting. No offer to help, no kindness, no basic courtesy. The attitude only got worse from there. Every time we needed something, we were met with eye rolls, annoyance, and the feeling that we were bothering her simply for asking her to do her job. We even noticed the same behavior toward other tables, so it clearly wasn't a one-time misunderstanding. When I ordered an iced latte, I asked what syrup options were available because there were no drink menus at our table. Instead of answering a completely reasonable question, Kat acted irritated that I dared to ask. Customers shouldn't be expected to magically know what you offer. I understand that everyone has bad days, but if you dislike interacting with guests this much, hospitality may not be the right industry for you. No customer should be made to feel unwelcome for asking for a high chair, ordering a drink, or requesting basic service. It's incredibly disappointing because the food was honestly amazing. But amazing food doesn't excuse rude service. There are too many restaurants serving great meals to spend my money somewhere I'm treated like an inconvenience. Good food gets people through the door once. Great hospitality is what keeps them coming back.

I tried a cup of the evening's vegetable soup, which came with some of the fried bread (think strips of Indian fry bread) and the Karajordjeva Schnitzel (thin filet of pork stuffed with ham and mozzarella). The schnitzel was very tasty and not greasy at all. The wine list is short, but there should be something for everyone; the glass of Toscana I had was quite nice and a good pour. Food portions are huge, I took home half my entree because I just couldn't eat more than that. The desserts looked amazing, but I just didn't have room for any. Instead, I had a Turkish coffee that came with a piece of Turkish delight for just a bit of sweetness to end dinner. Service was so friendly and everything came out in a timely manner. You must email the restaurant at least a day in advance for a reservation; no walk-ins and they email back promptly to confirm availability. The food is such a nice change from the usual, I highly recommend. After all, how many salmon dinners or fish and chips can a person eat while in Alaska?

The service has always been good in my experience which makes sense as it's more of a fast food experience. Lastly, the hotdogs are really good, the buns, toppings, and dogs are all very good. However, there are two things I don't love. One is that I remember them advertising selling reindeer dogs in the past however I don't see them on the menu or posted anywhere anymore. The second is the more glaring issue, the price. Now, I understand the location, the target customers, and so on are the reasons for the overpriced products. I also understand that the doghouse is far from the only business in this area that's overpriced. But even still, $12 for a normal sized hotdog is just too much, especially with no sides or drinks included. So, if you have money to spare and don't mind overpaying, I would highly recommend this cool and unique spot to grab a bite to eat.

Not a lot of space inside (basically standing only) and with it being very cold outside, it was also cold inside too so we opted to just eat our food in the car with heat on lol. Service was pleasant and quick but food did take a minute with what seemed to not be too many orders ahead or people waiting...But we weren't in a rush so no biggie. The hot dogs were tasty and seemed to be good quality too. Just a tad on the small side for $10 dogs in my opinion. Had they have been 1/4 lb dogs like a Costco dog, that'd be well worth it and I'd have zero complaints. Chili was also very tasty (no beans as it should be) and a fine amount of cheese. Fries were crispy and seasoned nice as well. Just a big smaller order than I'd expect for $7 but again, it's kinda what you'll expect in a heavy touristy area. Everything came out very hot and fresh which I appreciate as well. We'd definitely stop by again next time around Denali!
