Calamari - amazing! Huge, tender slices
    Emily S.

Everyone enjoyed their meal and also a great spot for cocktails. If Calamari is your thing, then it's an absolute must. Rather than rings , they were huge slices (the size of mozzarella sticks!) Thick and very tender. We also shared the haddock meal, which was nice, but for me personally, not worth the price. For drinks, A few of us enjoyed very nice cocktails and one had the house berry lemonade which packed a very tart punch but was delicious for sipping. A bit of a wait for 5 around dinner, but they give you a buzzer that works across the property, which was great as we could browse the shops and go back to our rooms to freshen up. The server was friendly and well trained. She hit all the "buzzwords" when describing the food, but she came across as knowledgeable and not rehearsed - we enjoyed the atmosphere as well.

A good option if you're staying at the Princess/Holland lodge! While staying at the lodge, I ate one dinner meal and all my breakfast meals here. For additional context, I had the meal plan offered by the lodge so my dinner included a drink, appetizer, entree, and desert. Their breakfast is a buffer so everything is included. For dinner, my party had the calamari appetizer, the Cobb salad, the fish and chips, the burger, and the salmon sandwich. The fish and chips were really good and came with A LOT of tater tots. The burger was good, nothing amazing, and so was the salmon sandwich. I'd say if you're coming here, get the fish and chips. The servers were all very kind and if you have the meal plan, don't worry, they all know what it is and it's an easy process to use. For dinner, there was usually always a wait. For breakfast, they had a pretty good spread that included yogurt and fruit, pancakes, bacon, sausage, fruit toppings, toast, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, two types of eggs, and assorted pastries. The food was pretty average, didn't hate it didn't absolutely love it, but it did the job. I only wish that they could switch up their breakfast offerings everyday but I totally understand why they just have that fixed menu. If you like tea, I'd recommend trying one of their many Alaskan tea flavors! The inside is pretty spacious but note that about 1/3 of the inside gets taken up by the buffet during breakfast. I never experienced a wait in the mornings but I also didn't really eat at peak hours. The staff was very friendly and even remembered us each morning!

We stopped in here for a drink and ended up ordering some jalapeño crab dip. Drinks were refreshing, service was fantastic and the crab dip was delicious. Relaxing and fun place to get out of the cold.

Pretty much Alaska style log cabin type place. Drinks by fireplace 1 evening, dinner the next. Shared jalapeno dip appetizer. Went with fish & chips & salmon sandwich. Sides were green beans and tater tots. Food was good as was service.

A cute restaurant on the first level of princess lodges! The entry way is decorated with flowers and animal statues. Although the restaurant was totally full, we were served quickly. The menu had lots of healthy options including a veggie bowl, such a great source of fiber we were in desperate need of. The performer sang classic covers while playing piano, further upping the aura.

Good but not great. Has the fish and chips. The chips were tater tots. Fish was good. They were busy and results in slow service.

Gave us 200 tater tots for free. They filled two to-go boxes in total. I liked the piano.

My first impression upon checking in at the hostess station and looking into the seating area, was that it might not be as good an experience as I'd hoped. I was wrong. They were jammed. We got seated at one of three 2-tops next to the open kitchen. Normally I enjoy being able to watch food being prepared but I thought it was going to be too loud and busy. Well, it was loud but tolerable and it was a very busy space but I really enjoyed watching the grill-man, the other prep folks as well as the 2 People doing the finishing touches, garnishes and delivering the food. Our server was Regan. What a pleasure she was. Really delightful, helpful and attentive. We ordered cocktails and an appetizer and slowly enjoyed both. Later, we ordered a single meal to share. We loved it! Here's what we had: Drinks: Cosmo cocktail Lavender Gin cocktail Blackberry Smash cocktail All the drinks were well crafted and very tasty. Appetizer: Halibut Bites Really nice appetizer. Salad: Wedge with Blue Cheese dressing The salad was large enough to share and we asked for some extra dressing. Really good. Side: Marscapone Potato Gratin These were really special. Love it. Main: Prime Beef Filet with Lobster Herb Butter Oh my word, super tender and flavorful. If we find ourselves back in the area, we'd eat here again!

It's a small…read morebuilding will limited seating, however the nice thing about hot dogs is that you can eat them while walking, and this spot is located in one of the most popular places to walk in Denali. The service has always been good in my experience which makes sense as it's more of a fast food experience. Lastly, the hotdogs are really good, the buns, toppings, and dogs are all very good. However, there are two things I don't love. One is that I remember them advertising selling reindeer dogs in the past however I don't see them on the menu or posted anywhere anymore. The second is the more glaring issue, the price. Now, I understand the location, the target customers, and so on are the reasons for the overpriced products. I also understand that the doghouse is far from the only business in this area that's overpriced. But even still, $12 for a normal sized hotdog is just too much, especially with no sides or drinks included. So, if you have money to spare and don't mind overpaying, I would highly recommend this cool and unique spot to grab a bite to eat.

Not a lot of space inside (basically standing only) and with it being very cold outside, it was also cold inside too so we opted to just eat our food in the car with heat on lol. Service was pleasant and quick but food did take a minute with what seemed to not be too many orders ahead or people waiting...But we weren't in a rush so no biggie. The hot dogs were tasty and seemed to be good quality too. Just a tad on the small side for $10 dogs in my opinion. Had they have been 1/4 lb dogs like a Costco dog, that'd be well worth it and I'd have zero complaints. Chili was also very tasty (no beans as it should be) and a fine amount of cheese. Fries were crispy and seasoned nice as well. Just a big smaller order than I'd expect for $7 but again, it's kinda what you'll expect in a heavy touristy area. Everything came out very hot and fresh which I appreciate as well. We'd definitely stop by again next time around Denali!

One of the characters described was partially responsible for creating Denali national park. The problem I had with the show itself was that there was NO INDIGENOUS REPRESENTATION at all. Since coming to Alaska we have been learning constantly about the horrible atrocities committed to the native population in the name of white greed and Christian nationalism. We have also learned that these issues are pretty prevalent in Alaska today also, so I found it very offensive that they presented a white washed show like that. The food was what you would expect flavor-wise for a dinner theater but what made me really put off was that we had a global pandemic less than a decade ago and it's like this company learned nothing from it. You are expected to pass your plate to the 11 other people sitting at your table so they can put the food on your plate for you. We spent a week in a petri dish (cruise ship) before this land tour and I would say 10-25 percent of the people are obviously ill, I don't want anyone but a trained chef with experience in food safety to touch my food thank you. Overall I would recommend avoiding this dinner theater and donating the cost of it to native Alaskan charities or cultural groups.
