I was looking forward to this place since booking my reservation. They do not take walk-ins. You have to book a reservation via email. The place is small and cozy. The staff is superb. The menu is small, but expected for the type of restaurant. There are options for vegetarians. If you are not a vegetarian, you may enjoy this place a little better since their meat dishes are the stars of the show. We started off with sangria. It's not the typical Sangria you think of. It's not sweet at all. I'm ok with that, but my friend wasn't too fond of it. It's is homemade. For our appetizer, we had the Mekike. It is fried bread that came with a cream cheese dip and a tomato dip. We loved this. Who doesn't love bread? For my main dish, I had the posni pilav with the sopska salad. The salad was simple and didn't have dressing, but delicious. The feta cheese added great flavor to the tomatoes and cucumber. By the time the posni pilav arrived, I was so stuffed that I could only take a few bites. I will admit that the dish doesn't look appealing, but it was pretty good. It didn't lack in flavor and it was a good portion. The meal can be pricy, but expected. Parking is on site, but shared with the other businesses.

Visited this very well reviewed place sometime back on our way to Denali Park. They are owned by Michael and Maya. Here is the summary of my review and experience there. 1) Ambiance 5/5: The ambiance is not your typical one that you would see in any other restaurant. This place is very different and you could see the thought and culture on display. Even the restrooms are well though out. It has a very rustic vibe with Serbian themes. 2) Service 5/5: The people and the owners are super nice and they really make you feel special here. Everyone is super helpful and explains everything delightfully. They have some of the most incredible stories to tell you. It was so great that I would like to thank everyone by name - Gary was our server who was very helpful. Peter helped with drink. Polina hlped with some hiking suggestions. Elizabeth was at the back of the kitchen. 3) Food 3/5: This is where I was the most disappointed. Although everything else was great, the food was not the best. I feel the food was a let down to their amazing hospitality and decor. Here is the summary of what we had: a) Pilici Pilav: It is chicken rice which tasted bland. It was like Indian Chicken Khichdi but with much less flavor. Not a fan and didnt not like the chicken in it. b) Meze Platter: This was good. I am not a fan of Pork but this was good and crispy. The Rgussian salad was ood. c) Grandmother's chocolate cake: The cake was meh with more oats than chocolate and it was peanut butter in it which I am not a fan of. d) Vegan Dessert: We were confused about the cheesecake of this vegan dessert and asked the server. They insisted on this and said this is their best seller. It was such a let down. He said we wont know it was vegan and gluten free - Oh we knew it in every bite. We ate less than 25% of it, packd it and then ultimately had to throw it away. I so wish we had not listened to him and had the cheesecake. 4) Value for Money 2/5: The service and decor are great but the soul aka the food is kinda let down plus they are pricey. So not the best. Even though the place looks like a hole in the wall place, it is costly. The good: i) The decor ii) Service iii) People Not so Good: 1) Food 2) Price 3) Vegan Dessert

We were visiting Alaska for a few days and stopped by for dinner. We didn't have a reservation but only had to wait 10 minutes for a table of four. They have a fire pit in a covered balcony for the waiting area which helped with the outside cold. The service was really amazing and the decor was cozy. We ordered the meze platter, meat stuffed pepper, sarma, Kardjordjeva schnitzel, vegan daily soup, and meat daily soup. To be honest, I dont think the Serbian taste profile meshes quite well with my own taste but I could tell the food was well-prepared. The flavors are not as complex as I typically enjoy but also I don't have anything else to compare this with. It's definitely a fun spot to try something new while in Alaska!

Dinner at Moose-Aka's is not just a meal, it's an experience. First of all, you MUST have reservations. They do not accept walk ups at all. I noticed on their website they said that reservations must be made 24-hours in advance by email. We were within the 24 hours, but I wrote them anyway. What did I have to lose? As it happens, they had a cancellation and they offered us the open table, which we accepted. The restaurant is Balkan, which is a bold choice for such a small tourist area. The interior is dark and cozy. There are only about twelve tables inside. We were greeted by the cheerful hostess. We were made to feel at home. Once we were seated, the chef came by. He told us that he insists on explaining the menu to each table. A very personal touch. My wife and I are familiar with Eastern European food, so we took in the menu quickly. We started with the meze platter, which included a sampling of four different appetizers. Everything was wonderful! We ordered pitcher of sangria to drink. It was very tasty, full of fruit, and I might add, pretty strong! For the main, my wife chose the Sarma, cabbage leaves stuffed with ground beef and seasonings. It was very good, but perhaps a touch bland. We would have liked a bit more flavor in the sauce. I chose the Kardjordjeva Schnitzel it is essentially a pork version of a cordon bleu. It was magnificent! We ordered two desserts, the Grandmother's chocolate cake, and the cheesecake crepe. The chocolate cake was not to my liking, but the crepe was one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. Denali has no right to have such an amazing restaurant! The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was amazing! My wife talked about our experience all the way back to the hotel. Definitely the best dining experience available in Denali, if not all of Alaska!

Truly a unique dining experience that I'd never expect while exploring Denali NP. From the moment we walked in, the servers are all so attentitive and polite. It felt like we were so welcomed! Each person that works here on the floor will monitor each table, whether or not they are the person assigned to that table. We never had to wave down anyone to get their attention or ask for something we needed. They all loved conversing and giving their own recommendations for the park as well, which was really nice! As for the food, we decided on getting the stuffed bell peppers and the veggie pilaf. Both were pretty filling and delicious. Although a bit pricier than your average dining spot, definitely recommend considering eating here after a day of exploring Denali!

A great little restaurant with a super ambiance and excellent Serb and eastern Euro cuisine. The sarma was authentic and delicious although a little smaller in proportion than what I grew up eating, but perfect and brought great memories. Tenderloin was also nicely done and not greasy with great flavors. Definitely get the full appetizer plate to start with a selection of the main apps. Pair with Serb beer and try both as they are similar. I was too full for dessert but I'm sure it was as good as the main courses. Recommended.

This place is a diamond in the rough at Denali. Being open for only 3-4 months of the year, they have to garner all the profits before the tourist season closes. I was definitely fortunate to able to try this place out. Never mind all the accolades that this place has received, it's all about the personal experience that matters. When you walk it, there's a very unique ancient traveler's decor that lines the walls and ceiling. It creates an exotic atmosphere that is pretty inviting and adds to the eating experience. The servers are extremely friendly and nice. They display a nice personal touch and can start and carry such a natural conversation that makes you feel extremely welcomed. Now onto the food. I had the Karadjordjeva Schnitzel which is fried pork sirloin stuffed with cheese and ham. It was delicious! The pork was flavorful and I absolutely loved the garlic mashed potatoes that it came with. Also the asparagus gave it a nice contrast with the heaviness of the potatoes and schnitzel. The sauce that came with it kept the schnitzel from becoming bland, which was a nice touch. But the Nutella and Banana Crepe w/vanilla ice cream... yeah... Fire! It's so good. The crispness of the crepe combine with the flavors of banana and Nutella. Joygasm! Definitely something to try! If you get the opportunity, definitely seek this place out. Find out for yourself why others have enjoyed this place as much as I have!

Highly recommend this place for anyone traveling to or staying at Denali. Service and ambiance were phenomenal here. Staff was really friendly in helping us with our food selections and our stay at Denali by providing hidden gems around the area. Don't miss this restaurant if you're in the area!

This was the best meal I had the entire trip. The restaurant is extremely out of place for nowhere Alaska but the service and food would put this city on the map. The ambiance makes you feel like you are in Europe with the decor and music. The food was delish and the sangria was good. Highly recommended visiting!

I went in with high expectations, and this place came through. The service was some of the best I've experienced in a long, long time. The food was EXCELLENT! We shared 2 appetizers and one entree. And we couldn't finish it all. Normally, we'd have taken leftovers home, but we were in a hotel with no microwave, so.... Yep, we hurt ourselves a bit. They not only didn't charge us for splitting the entree, but were kind enough to split it for us. Sat out in the front room with a small fire burning. Very cozy! Just everything about this place was top notch.

Very friendly team of servers with excellent hospitality attitude, and excellent food. It's hard to know what to say when it's all so good. I wasn't sure what sangria I might like, so they gave me a sample of both and I found the red to be sweet and the white to be more savory, so I opted for the savory. Decided to share the meze platter and the Sarma entree as both are too much portion for one but plenty to share and got a great sampling of Serbian flavors, dips, and seasonings. I'd never had cabbage that was so tender it acted like a noodle, but that's what the Sarma felt and tasted like- a meat and rice dumpling! Excellent flavors on everything and loved the chef's special dip and red pepper spread. Try to get in before 6pm, or you may have to wait until after 7:30pm, as they don't take reservations and can only accommodate tables based on what's available.

This place has the rating and volume of reviews it does for a reason. We had a great experience and it was wonderful to find something other than a brewery, pizza, or burger place in Alaska. We started with the Serbian Fry bread, I forget its name, but it was delicious and I loved the sour cream & red pepper sauce with it. We also had an appetizer of the Olivier salad and it was great. We finished with the moussaka and loved it, and the special dessert was like a custard with cinnamon and fruit that was well worth it. Great service, cute ambiance, definitely a must by Denali.

One of the best meals of our trip! Do not hesitate to make a reservation as this reservation only spot in Denali. It's superb
We were initially very excited to eat here given the high ratings on Google. Unfortunately the food just wasn't to our taste, maybe we ordered the wrong items. On the positive side, the atmosphere and the service were excellent. You walk into this cozy space that makes you feel like you are in another time /place. It's rustic, quaint, European hints, and the service is exceptional. We were warmly greeted by a lovely lady who seated us promptly, and the chef took the time to greet all his guests and explain the menu, answer questions, etc., really nice! We ordered the quesadilla appetizer, the rolled cabbage leaves and the meat stuffed red bell peppers. The appetizer was ok, very heavy on the cheese, it was thick. My bell peppers didn't have that naturally sweet flavor, instead they were kind of tasteless. And the meat stuffing was kind of runny, and also didn't have much flavor. The cabbage rolls were unfortunately the same, just didn't have flavor, was kind of bland. read more

You must have a reservation and we're so glad we did. We started with the sample of appetizers, then had Karadjordjeva Schnitzel, and for dessert some type of heavenly apple crepe. I'm sure I would have loved Grandma's chocolate cake but another table had just ordered the last serving. The restaurant was decorated so attractively. Maya and Michael worked together to make this a very special dining experience. read more

Delicious food prepared by a chef who comes to your table and explains some of the special dishes. The decor and atmosphere are very unique and beautiful and the service is impeccable. Very nice vibe and super friendly service. Really enjoyed some of the food, like the fried bread and the schnitzel. Less keen on other food, like the vegan soup and especially not the moussaka. Overall quite good, just highly recommend the schnitzel over everything! read more
I would really like to give a higher rating. The service was above and beyond, making sure we were happy and offering suggestions on various activities. Especially impressive given the wait staff was absolutely slammed. We never felt rushed. Ambiance was certainly not corporate, a mix of artifacts on the walls, wood paneling, we found it inviting. Table spacing was pretty darn good, we never felt like a sardine. Again, very impressive, especially for a restaurant that has a narrow window of customers. A nice selection of beer which we enjoyed. There were 2 clearly labeled vegetarian mains, plus the soup starter which was included with the entree. The portions were large, you will not leave hungry. Why 3 stars? The food was really bland, not bad but not enjoyable to eat. We had the vegan stuffed peppers and the posni pilav. And unfortunately, despite all the positives, the bottom line at a restaurant is the food. If we were to return I would probably get soup and a salad. read more

Arrived at Denali Princess on July 17. Emailed for a reservation for 12 just under 24,hours in advance and they either had or created an opening right at 5 the next day. Michael and Maia and crew knock it out of the park with service and food. The Moussaka was ordered by several as well as the Sarma. Salads and soups were great. Grandmas chocolate cake and the 10 year port were great desserts. Both the white and red sangria were very refreshing. Not sure when we will be back but are planning on going there when we do. read more

We've been coming to stay at Denali Village for a few years now, usually just a couple days, in our camper at the Rainbow Village RV Park, just behind all the stores on the boardwalk, so i have absolutely NO excuse for missing this place. There's a big menu outside - you don't need to go inside, to see what's on offer. The first thing on the menu is Moussaka. Hello, i thought. I've not had you since i was young. In fact it was the first thing i made in cookery class when i was 13, and my cookery teacher called me Tweedle. All i know is, my Moussaka was lovely, and i knew it would be something I'd like to eat more often. I'm a little confused because this restaurant claims to serve Serbian food, though the website says Eastern European. The origins of Moussaka are Turkish/Greek, depending on what you read. I know it is supposed to have layers of eggplant in it, ground beef, and a creamy Bechamel sauce on top. Apparently the Bechamel sauce was added in an attempt to make it more "European" That's how we made it at school too. Online recipes also quote these ingredients. This one is different though. I couldn't find eggplant. And there wasn't any Bechamel sauce. There was potatoes, ground beef and bacon, with an egg wash of egg, milk, and sour cream. Fundamentally, it tasted wonderful, though I would argue the authenticity. But notably, as anyone who reads any of my reviews will know, as long as there's potatoes, I like it. This has potatoes and it was delicious, savoury, and a very good comfort food. It was served with pita bread on the side, and two dips. My husband got the Sarma, which are pickled cabbage rolls, stuffed with lamb, beef and rice, and simmered in a tomato broth. You get 5 of them, and they're bigger than a Dolmas, just as a size guide. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and Pita Bread too. He loved it. The interior of the restaurant was absolutely charming i must say, cloth napkins, metal silverware, and not the cheap lightweight kind. Great sturdy wooden tables. You honestly would not think you were eating somewhere on the boardwalk in Denali Village, where I've found options to be stupidly expensive, and small portions (I'm looking at you Doghouse) This has the feel of a really nice restaurant. Staff are super friendly, very attentive, and go through the ENTIRE menu with you, not just the specials. They describe each dish in detail. As we already knew what we wanted before we even went in there, i was having the very rude urge (because i was very hungry) to tell him to shut up already, but I can see that this is useful to those people who are maybe indecisive, and don't know what each food is. I was surprised by how quickly we received our food. While we were eating, one table next to us had finished and paid for their meal, and left, and a server came over to clean the table. She sanitized that thing like it was a hospital surgery bed in an Operating Room. I was highly impressed. Periodically, staff came to check on us - not just our original server. And one was the service manager, who came by to see how good the service had been. Their attention to detail is impeccable, the surroundings cozy and welcoming, and the service is some of the best I've seen, in the whole state of AK, as was the food. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't eat here, either while staying somewhere in the Village, or even if you're driving to Fairbanks, and wanted to stop only for food. I'd love to go back and explore other dishes, but i don't know if we'll get up there again this summer. Loved it. read more
This quaint restaurant deserves ALL the love that it gets here on Yelp! My family and I didn't expect to be enjoying Serbian food while visiting Alaska but boy were we pleasantly surprised by how great the food and the service was here. The hostess / manager Maja along with the two servers Caroline & Zach worked together seamlessly to ensure a fantastic experience for the three of us, and I absolutely loved the charismatic yet homey environment that they provided. Since it was our first time trying Serbian food, both Caroline and Zach gave great recommendations and we truly loved everything that we ordered! Meze Platter (appetizer sample platter): This dish gives you a taste of 4 different appetizers on the menu and was the perfect intro for us. All 4 appetizers were unique and flavorful in their own way but my favorite had to be the mekice (fried bread) served with a red pepper spread called ajvar. My mom and I loved this red pepper spread so much that we actually asked Zach what it was called so we could look it up afterwards :D Sarma: This entree consists of 5 cabbage rolls filled with beef, lamb, rice, and various Serbian seasonings. I really enjoyed how the cabbage helps to offset the heaviness of the beef / lamb filling, and pairing it with the pita bread was perfect. Once again, the flavors are super unique and I also really enjoyed pairing this with some of the leftover spreads / dips from the meze platter! Special Dessert (Serbian Cheesecake): Don't expect this to be a normal slice of cheesecake! Instead, this was more of a custard dessert that was topped with strawberries, bananas, caramel, cinnamon, and whipped cream. I loved the light texture of it, and it was the perfect end to this wonderful meal :) If you are in the Denali area, do yourself a favor and visit Moose-AKa's because you won't regret it! read more

Came on a streak as I really love the fried bread. Food: Starter: fried bread 5/5 Entree: moussaka 4/5 I like this much better than sarma. Dessert: strawberry cheesecake crepes. This was our best meal in Alaska. Loved the feeling of being welcomed into a large family gathering. Service was amazing with all servers pitching in. May be a wait but worth it. Get the dessert specialty cheesecake. And I loved the King's wine they serve -- a dry Riesling. Just all warm and fuzzy after this meal. Crowded in a "you're squeezing in mom's house for a big family gathering" kind of way, but still able to sit and talk with the grandparents (at least if they have their hearing aids). read more

Moose-AKa's, which is an underrated play on words, was one of the most memorable meals I have had in a long time. I had never had Serbian food before, but it was absolutely incredible, flavorful, fresh and left us full but energetic enough to do an evening summer hike after. We shared a bottle of the Serbian Sauv Blanc which was delightful, the mezze platter which gave us so many wonderful samples and the cabbage rolls which were so great. Initially I was hesitant when the cabbage was recommended but I am SO glad we got that. Lastly, we had the special dessert, which is like an airy cheesecake with fresh fruit which was the perfect way to end the meal. Gary and the entire staff there were kind, attentive and made us feel at home in rural Alaska. Overall the meal was incredible, memorable and would be a hidden gem in any city! What an absolute treasure to have just outside Denali National park. We only had one night in Denali, but if we had had more, we would have absolutely gone back to Moose-AKa's without hesitation. read more
Restaurant choices were definitely limited this summer in Denali. We were checking out all the places at the main plaza and decided to make a reservation for the next day at Moose-Aka's. It turned out to be our best meal in Denali. We got our first taste of Serbian food in Alaska! Who knew? Our waitress Sydney who is also from So Cal explained the menu well and gave suggestions of popular dishes. We had the Moussaka which has ground beef, potato, and egg. I thought this dish had too much potato but hubby ate it all. We also got the Karadjordjevn which is stuffed pork schnitzel and it was delicious. For a few bucks more we added the Sopska (tomato, bell pepper, cucumber, feta) salad and Russian (sweet pea and potato) salad to each entree. It was refreshing and amazing. You have to try the sweet fried crepes here for dessert! It's like a sweet chimichanga! We love the PB & J more but that didn't stop us from finishing the apple cinnamon one either. Service is EXCELLENT here, everyone works hard and with a smile. Which is hard to come by these days. We visited mid July 2021, but I see on the website they are no longer taking reservations. So please call to confirm or go early if you want an amazing dinner. read more

One of the best experiences in Denali. The staff greeted enthusiastically and the chef walked us through the menu providing his recommendations based on our dietary preferences. The food was great! Tasty and unique flavors!! Good Portion sizes! The place is very well decorated to create a cozy European ambiance! Overall experience 10/10. Would love to visit again and highly recommended for anyone visiting Denali!! read more

This is a hidden gem! Denali National Park is the last place I'd expect to find a Serbian restaurant, but it did not disappoint. My fiancé got the stuffed peppers and loved it. I got the soup & salad combo with the 'čorba' and 'sopska' salad. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh and authentic. We thought the inside of the restaurant was a little too dark, but the service was amazing and the food was top-notch, which more than made up for it. If we're ever in the area again, we will be coming back! read more

If you go with a bigger group during a popular time you will likely need a reservation to avoid a long wait. There was no wait at all for 2 people at around 5 pm on a weekday. free parking nearby. excellent service, thank you to Gary who gave us amazing hiking tips Food was interesting and overall tasty, would recommend the sampler platter to get a feel for everything. The turkish coffee was great and the chocolate cake is unlike american cake; every layer was unique and the cake is not sweet at all. Memorable and unique experience, would recommend trying if you're in denali. read more
By far the best food we had in the Denali area. Surprised to see a Serbian place here, but flavors and ambiance are legit! Love the fried savory crepe, the stuffed pepper and the stuffed cabbage. Highly recommend!! read more

What a find! Skip the burgers and pizza and head here for a wonderful unique delicious meal! The three of us shared the moussaka and rice pilaf. Both were different than the normal and were memorable. The apple dessert was one of the best desserts ever and definitely one to recommend. This restaurant can be a little hard to find being at the end of a long strip of buildings. It is very nondescript, and may be a cabin that was moved from another location. If you are in Healy after or before a cruise, leave the hotel you are in, walk across the street, and enjoy some food that is worth the walk. read more

We had the pleasure of eating here during our trip to Denali. The food was excellent and service friendly despite being very busy. The restaurant was relatively small inside and surprisingly not too loud considering most tables were full. Who knew we would get superb Serbian food in Alaska. read more

I was iffy walking in. Not many vegetarian options, but a few. The stories and Turkish coffee won us over, though. We learned about the decor. And we'd recommend taking a trip to the bathroom too. read more

Pretend to be Serbien and sells Schnitzel (German/Austrian) and Moussaka (Greek). Doesn't taste bad, it's only blend. (Salt and Pepper are not enough). Wine per battle is steep ($) for the establishment. (it's nice decorative but still not a fine dine restaurant, so keep it down a little.) Staff is friendly and attentive. read more
They offer Eastern European foods that we tried on the recommendation of other travelers. We got the Meze platter (Mekice, Schnitzel Fingers, Crepadilla, and Russian Salad) with amazing dips and one meat and one chicken crepe. Both were good but the chicken was definitely better. It was juicy and flavorful while the outside was crunchy. We got the Serbian Cheesecake for dessert which was light and not too sweet. We'd definitely come back here again, the food and atmosphere were great! read more

I came to Alaska in 2010 to work as a seasonal employee, and Maja came in 2011 on a work and travel visa as a student from Serbia. I worked my way around the state for a few years, while she continued to come and work in Denali for various companies in the summer then returning to Serbia to further her education. I open Food Truck Moose-AKa's in Healy 2015 and the restaurant 2017.

Wow. Completely blown away! First when you walk in... Take a minute to let your eyes adjust from the midnight sun.... You then choose your seat, at the beautifully crafted bar, where you can view the kitchen through the pass window, one of the unique penny top tables, a large comfortable booth where you are below a lovely hand crafted spoon chandelier, or even outside on the porch. Then. The menu. Which rotates through out the day. I had the moussaka accompanied with a side shopska salad. a light snack, late lunch Very friendly and welcoming place and my belly is very satisfied! Not to mention the name. . . . Moose-aka. We will be back! Come check it out!! read more

I've been coming to Denali National Park for 25 years. There's now another reason to visit the park; Moose AKa's! It's hands-down the best food I've ever had near the park--maybe the best food anywhere-EVER! Beautiful atmosphere. Very cozy and clean. Everything is fresh, organic and made-to-order. There should be a line out the door and down the block! Seriously good. Excellent service. They have had over 35 5 Yelp reviews but they were deleted because Yelp wants $$$$s! All this--culinary artistry, superb service and a beautiful eclectic atmosphere for very little $s. Please support great eateries! 5s aren't enough read more

********A MUST SEE******** After a nice game of Golf on the tundra we decided to go further and explore the Denali Board Mall... After we reserved our seats for a white water rafting in the Nenana River we found this AMAZING Serbian restaurant. The FOOD was amazing, Staff and the Chef were very accommodating while we enjoyed our three1/2 hour stay listening to music, enjoying conversation with new friends and OH let's NOT forget the SANGRIA that kept on coming~~~ Mama, Ali and Chef Mike, WE WILL SEE YOU SOON AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! read more

I've been eating at Moose-Aka's since it's beginning as a food truck in Healy. Since then the location and venue have changed but the food is as phenomenal as ever. They have a sophisticated dining room that they built themselves, the staff are all locals with plentiful information about the area and it's history, and they serve lunch and dinner with traditional Turkish coffee poured all day long! They serve fried meat crepes, sweet crepes, soup & salads, as well as traditional Serbian delicacies. A must stop on your stay in Denali! read more

First when we went to the restaurant there wasn't enough space inside and it was shivering cold outside (1°C), so the waitress told us we can go to a patio with a small fire pit and have us a menu to look at the food while we were waiting for a table. When we finally got a table we all knew what to get. I forgot what I got, but my meal was a crêpe filled with Mozzarella cheese, Pepperoni, Tomato sauce, with some sauce on the side. My brother got a Fried Meat Crêpe. The dessert was absolutely amazing! read more

My hiking buddy and I came here for dinner after a long hike, and HOLY MOLY. Quite possibly the best food in Alaska, and it's right outside the park. Bring your appetite. The whole place has a very familial feel, the service is great, the portions are generous, and each dish was a 10/10. We went back the next morning for breakfast to fuel up for a long bike ride, the then went back again that night. It's that good. I intend to return to Denali, and honestly Moose-aka's is a big reason why. read more

Moose-AKa's is a true hidden gem in Denali! Run by a wonderful wife-and-husband team, this Serbian restaurant blends artistic flair with incredible food. The wife's artistic vision is reflected in every detail of the decor, creating a warm, rustic, and inviting atmosphere. The husband, as chef, serves up delicious Serbian and Eastern European dishes for both vegan and non-vegan guests. And the cocktails? Just as impressive as the meals. A must-visit dining experience! read more

Absolutely awesome! Got here with my friends during the 3rd day of their soft opening and its great! We had almost everything on the menu between the 6 of us but we are all super satisfied. The service was some of the best I've had in my life. Very friendly and very informative. Got to learn about the food and roots of where the food comes from. Would whole heartedly recommend to everyone going through Denali to stop by. Can't put into words how great this place is. read more

This was our favorite restaurant that we ate at during our trip to Alaska. My boyfriend who is well traveled said it was one of his top 3 favorite meals of all time. We were in the area for 3 nights and ate their two. The third they were closed so we got a crepe to go and reheated it that day. We loved everything: the food of course, the staff, and the atmosphere. You really can't go wrong here unless you decide not to go. read more
