We had a master bedroom door replaced. I was anxious as I had never had to do this before. His services are not only affordable but a life saver! He had a new door up and ready in no time at all. Based on how well he did with the door project I hired him the following week to take down a clothing unit as I run a clothing business inside my home and repair/paint the corresponding holes. Deryck helped us out this week at my grandma's house. Some time ago, a fallen tree branch punched a small hole in the roof causing a leak which resulted in some roof decking becoming rotten. Deryck replaced the plywood decking and fixed it up good as new. He sent me photos so I could see the work, since I wasn't able to be there to inspect it myself and granny isn't getting on the roof anytime son! DO NOT USE UNTRUSTWORTHY DERYCK FRANCIS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. He claimed he's licensed. I checked multiple licensing websites, and he lied. I needed a shower handle replaced, and I was able to control the temperature until Deryck came. Now I have new plumbing issues where I no longer have hot water and lower water pressure thanks to him. He should have admitted that he didn't know how to replace the handle, but he didn't want to come down on the $400 he charged for the shower handle and head (which wasn't a priority), replacing an exterior light, and hanging some pictures. He claimed the shower set brand I originally bought wouldn't fit, so he went to Lowe's and got a more expensive set that still wouldn't fit (I checked my kitchen faucet to confirm he bought the wrong brand too). He spent 4 hours trying to drill it in, but the new shower handle isn't fastened, and now we can't change the temperature to make it hot. He took the box of the wrong set he bought so now I can't even return that; an additional $200 loss. He claimed he was going to come Saturday morning to fix it, then Saturday night, then Sunday morning, then he stopped responding to my calls and texts. He finally responded after I called from a different number, and he claimed he would come Monday at 10am. Then he said 3pm Monday. Well now it's past 7pm on Monday and he won't respond to our calls or texts. Several of the pictures that his assistant hung were much lower than where I specified, and I've just been asking for a partial refund at this point because now we urgently need to hire a LICENSED plumber and get a new PFISTER-branded shower set to replace the new one he made us waste money on. This guy wants to act like he can do anything in a house when in reality his skills have limitations like most humans. I wish he could have been honest, but now we're having to deal with a plumbing emergency and trying to find every regulatory agency, website, and organization we can find to make complaints (he's obviously not BBB accredited) to hold him accountable. He never even apologized or admitted to any mistakes. read more

I called several plumbing companies to install a kitchen faucet with only the one hole...very simple. Some of the bids I received were outrageous. One was $185. I received 5 bids and Deryck came in the lowest at $75. His reviews were excellent so I went with him. I am so glad I did. He installed the faucet and it's perfect. I also had him fix some missing quarter round pieces around my downstairs hard wood floors that my dog had pulled off and chewed up when she was a puppy. Needless to say, his work is excellent, he is professional, kind, and extremely reasonable. He did all the work in one day (on a Sunday no less) and was kind enough to nail in all the quarter round that was still there so it would all stay put in the event my dog felt the need to pull one up again. $200 for all of it. Where do I sign up? That includes materials and labor for both jobs. If I ever need someone to do some handy work around the house, Deryck will be the first person I call. This guy is a shady scam artist that cost us more money to fix something that was halfway working before and now doesn't even work at all and he won't come back to fix what he screwed up! The handle to our shower fell off and we could at least still turn the knob with our fingers to turn the water on and get it hot. We purchased a new shower handle/faucet set that seemed similar to the original one ahead of him coming. He apparently told my husband this was the wrong brand so pretended to be helpful and went and returned the supposedly wrong one to pick up a new more expensive one that turns out was also the wrong brand which didn't fit. He apparently struggled for 4 hours to install this incorrect shower handle. That night I go to take my shower and surprise surprise, the handle won't turn right and we are unable to get hot water in the shower when at least we were able to before when it had no handle. It is apparent to us now that he had no idea what he was doing and we wish he had just been honest instead of wasting our money on another incorrect shower handle. He claimed he was going to come back to fix it 4 days in a row. He strung us along and kept not answering calls or texts. We finally realized it's not getting fixed and we're out the $200 on the incorrect shower set because he stupidly took the box with him so now we can't return it. So now we have to buy a whole new shower handle faucet set which we now discovered the correct brand of which is Pfister, something he could have easily figured out if he had bothered to check our sink faucets. Fortunately we found a replacement online and it will be shipped to us in 5 days. Then we'll have to hire an actual qualified professional to install the correct one. We are out the $200 from the incorrect one he struggled to install. He is refusing to answer our calls and won't offer any apology or even a partial refund we haven't been able to use our shower in 5 days now. What a con artist! read more
