Terrible service. They take forever to get the food ready and the employees are extremely rude and racist.

My visit was impromptu and unplanned, but I was one happy kitten once I cracked the styrofoam box open. I ordered the oxtails with cabbage, rice and peas. While there is never enough oxtail for me, the portion was generous, tender, tasty, and well-seasoned. While waiting for my food order, I perused the beverage selections. I chose a Ting for myself and a ginger beer for my DH. In hindsight, I should have taken a few of these home as they are difficult to find otherwise. When the food was up, I also ordered a half dozen spicy patties. They were easy to store and wonderful snacks for later. I recommend Jamaica Hut because I'll be going back. read more

Wow! Amazing experience. Wait time was pretty normal for hot, authentic, and fresh Jamaican food. The plates were massive and well worth the money. The oxtails were smothered in the most delicious oxtail gravy I've tasted this year. The gravy was the perfect consistency for me to smother my rice but still stand alone on its on. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. This place is a 10/10 in my book. The restaurant itself was clean and nice on the inside. I would recommend 1000x's over. read more

This is definitely the SLOWEST Jamaican restaurant in town. And after actually visiting Jamaica this past November I can honestly say this food is trash! Most people raving over these oxtails and other items have more than likely never tasted authentic Jamaican cuisine. The wait is too long for the food, even when you call it in. So when you think your order is done, you arrive and they put it in last. After all of the orders taken in person. They are not organized at all. I've been looking for Jamaican food for the longest time and found this via Ubereats. I had the time to stop by so I came in person and the staff was so friendly! It's a small little place inside that seems like that really comfortable small local restaurant if you want to dine in. The food was delicious and I couldn't help but devour it right away. I have tried beef Pattie's a couple of times in my life and my mind was made up that it wasn't for me. I was told to try it here and I have to pull up atleast once a week for them. The interior of this place looked like it was newly painted, yet it wasn't clean (tables were cleared yet not wiped down, the floor was dirty) even tho no dine-in was allowed, the way that it wasn't kept would cause you to make yr order to go. I was a little skeptical of ordering takeout from here because of the many mixed reviews. I ordered the large oxtail meal with plantains and rice w/beans, and a beef patty. I thought everything tasted delicious and was very flavorful. The only thing is the plate looked very unappetizing at first but I guess they don't really care much for presentation. Never been to a Jamaican spot with less than 100 and for them to have a 73 was deplorable. I ordered a large oxtail and large curry goat, when they opened my plate to show me , it look like they might as well had put it in the smallest plate they have. DO NOT ORDER A LARGE THINKING YOU ARE GETTING A LARGE , IT IS THE SMALLEST LARGE I EVER SEEN IN LIFE & IT WAS MAYBE 4 PIECES OF EACH MEAT ! The biggest thing on the plate was the piece of mac and cheese and that wasn't even big . I didn't eat my plate of food cause it wasn't enough for me so I gave it to my boyfriend.
