Good but overpriced. We've been here twice and both times are shocked by the final bill. Maybe I am biased because my husband is Coast Guard so we can get seafood for MUCH cheaper. The food is good. The service is good. I do feel like they should be able to afford walls in the bathrooms considering how much they charge for the meals! We enjoyed our entrees thoroughly. The salad was very wet and tasted strongly of tomato. The appetizers were bland. We got the fried onion petal and the black bean dip.

First time ever going to this restaurant because of reviews, and family word of mouth about how good it was. I ordered the Frogmore Stew, I should have prepared myself and brought my Lawry's seasoning with me. I had high hopes for the food and was HIGHLY disappointed. I have never had over cooked shrimp in my life until now. I would rather eat a leather shoe, or overly well done steak. The shrimp tasted like it was already cooked cocktail shrimp thrown into a broil bag and cooked with the rest of the food. (potatoes, sausage and corn) Plus the portion vs the price, do not recommend. Will not be returning.

Rae's Coastal Cafe was hiding from me this whole time. I don't know when it was established but it appears to be a seasoned restaurant providing food service within the Forest Hill Racquet club apartments community and CSRA. We sat outside on a cool Saturday evening. They were not too busy. Alright the food hmm some hits some miss. My friend thought the ribs could use more flavor but was tender and went well with the barbecue sauce. The shrimp had too much breading but tasty. The default side of rice and beans was average. The onion blum was the highlight. Really liked the sherry wine sauce. The mahi mahi fish was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Just too small for the price. I do want to visit again cause I like the feel of the restaurant and would like to try other items on the menu.

I was disappointed after my last visit. The espresso martini was a slightly yellow tinted sweet drink which I was not a fan of. Honestly I'm not even sure they can be sold as an espresso martini. It may have had coffee flavoring but clearly has zero amounts of coffee in it. The "shrimp pâté" was just three heaping tablespoons of cream cheese with the shrimp portion being pretty non-existent. My key lime pie martini was served in this sad little glass and they have shower curtain stalls in their bathrooms which I never minded until someone jerked one wide open while I was using the bathroom so now I have trust issues Lastly, they were out of coconut shrimp which is what I came for so all around the visit was pretty disappointing. I will give them a try again in another 6-12 months once I've forgotten this experience

Pretty good food. Food portion is huge. House salad is very yummy. Jerk chicken is made with special flavor and is a must try.

Jerk Chicken Wings make for a happy lunch. If the weathers nice, it's nice to sit out back next to the creek.

I ordered the Australian Wagyu , it was okay, tasty but not tender. The side faux potato was awful. My partners pork chop was better. The crème brûlée was the best part. I'm still wondering if I would have preferred one of the specials. For the price of this meal I can go to other places such as Frog & Hen, or Cork & Flame, and get the crumbs scraped off my tablecloth with a knife. Sorry, but when a customer arrives expecting to pay top dollar for a meal, they expect the meal, the service and the atmosphere to be too notch as well. Brinkleys didn't hit that mark.

They have a valet system, so no worries about parking. Staff have been very professional and friendly, so 5/5 stars for that. I ordered the 8oz filet mignon, medium rare. Steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly! It came with asparagus and mashed potatoes covered in a crispy layer of batter, which all complimented the steak well. I tried their tuna tartare, which had an interesting take on what the tuna was served on. I've always been used to tuna tartare being accommodated with bread, but this was sushi rice compacted and covered in some light batter. Felt like I was eating tuna sushi. Apply some of the sauces it comes with and seriously was fantastic. I also got to try 4oz of their Japanese A5 Wagyu. Super expensive; $80 dollars for four ounces, but worth the experience. You cook the thin pieces over a hot stone and apply some of the seasonings like salt it comes with. I cooked each side for about 30 seconds, sprinkled some salt, and it melted in my mouth! I ended my meal with their carrot cake and it was moist, not overly sweet, and had a great savory taste. I really enjoyed my time here and certainly will be back again. There is a bar and at the back of the restaurant, you can see the baseball field. Restrooms were clean, but only one stall from what I've seen in the men's room. Overall 5/5 steak house experience.

We split a half dozen oysters to start and they were perfect. We chose to enjoy 3 of two types of the oysters from their selection. I could've easily had many more. We made the decision to split three of the dishes off the snacks at the top of their menu, which was plenty enough for two of us to share along with the oysters. We had the chicken thighs which were juicy and full of flavor. The brussels sprouts with the goat cheese and balsamic glaze was a combination of flavors and texture that were absolutely beautiful. I finished the evening with an adorable birthday dessert, which was a candy bar like dish with Nutella ice cream. The sparkler candle was so cute. We cannot wait to come back to enjoy more oysters, great food, and amazing service. A huge shout out to Nick for helping us make this evening amazing.

The service was absolutely top-notch, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was certainly very mellow. Our server, Cassandra, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The service was excellent, beginning with the host whose welcome and conversation matched the feel of the place itself. Our Server, Rafe, was excellent too! He explained the menu in a way that made me want to try everything on it in one night. He too, had no trouble striking up and keeping conversation, but not awkwardly, nor overwhelmingly. He is also a sommelier, and can also make a wonderful Black Walnut Manhattan! Rafe's service was so good that my wife and I might regularly ask for his service when dinning there. Then there's the food. It was worth every penny! The meat was so tender and delicious in my Ibérico Pork dish that I cleaned the plate, and the risotto with shrimp and scallops in my wife's dish had both of us wanting more of it. I plan to go back to at least also try the fillet and the rack of lamb, which are certainly both on my list. Yet, since my description can only be like seeing a picture of something that is better experienced in person, I will recommend to anyone that they try this restaurant for themselves. Only then will they know why I started by calling Cadwallader's Cafe a hidden gem of a place. I should note that the attire for diners is business casual, and dinning is not cheap, but the quality, ambiance, and service make it all well worth the cost!
