Honestly, I have to say I have had better food than this. I ordered food through DoorDash which was the fried cheese, the sweet cornbread. The scrambled eggs with toast the cola champagne and the arepitas i find that the drink, the sweet corn bread and the arepitas we're easy and delicious to eat.However, when it came to the scrambled eggs with toast and the fried cheese, I couldn't do it. You see, they use a lot of salt with this food right here and as a person that used to have really high blood pressure, I couldn't eat it.It made me extremely sick and dizzy.Unfortunately, I have to say with all honesty.If you have high blood pressure, don't eat this food, cause it will literally make you sick. The service was excellent.The ambience was perfect.The only thing is, the food needs to have less salt.Better luck next time. read more

Service was friendly, fast.I ordered the lunch special ok but just regular flavor nothing special,no spices of Latin that I was looking for, than to put pot on the stove and boil. My grandmother cooked the same food.My meal was boiled potatoes, white rice,small bowl kidney bean in juice,quarter piece chicken leg,2pc plantain .What i didn't like i was not told the mango drink wasn't included in the meal.It was just presented as it was part of the special. However with today budget due to inflation, I didn't want to pay $22.00 for a lunch just nothing special. Their menu are a little pricey. I was undecided what to eat for lunch and our waiters Yumary was very helpful recommended the special of the day for my son and a delicious Chuletas a la Kan Kan. A very good surprise. This is a Tik tok and instagram worthy place. It has an amazing atmosphere and so many picturesque opportunities. Selfie queens will love it. The is a Latin grocer connecting the restaurant and the red itself is small and not a lot of parking. However the outside is nothing like the inside. Inside looks amazing. Everyone was super nice and that made someone like me who is new to Latin cuisine more comfortable. The food was good. I'm super picky so if I can find something you can. I'm new to Latin food so I can't speak on authenticity but I went with some people that are they stated it was authentic and great quality. So definitely try if in the Latina mood. read more

I finally found some oxtails. I had been looking for weeks. It was definitely worth the price. They had very little fat and cut just right.

I'd say this is the best Latin Caribbean style food in Augusta. We were greeted as we entered and the service was quick and easy. Ambiance is relaxed and casual and the decor is colorful and bright. We ordered several things from the Dominican Mangu Plate (Tres Golpes), which our boys enjoyed. Wife had mofungo with garlic shrimp and it came heart shaped, I decided on the trifungo with garlic shrimp and chicken breast. Both were very good, mofungo was a little less "sweet" than the trifungo but we knew that going in. We also tried their empanadas and the chicken and beef ones were the best we tried, very good seasoned and not too pricey. We also walked to the market connected to it and got us some Dominican salami and cheese to fry at home. In all this was a great meal, delicious and priced well. read more

Customer service and workers were nice , atmosphere within the restaurant was very welcoming . The food was super bland , no flavor what so ever. Had to add salt to the tacos to give it literally any flavor at all. We've been searching for the moody authentic tacos in Augusta and have yet to prevail. This is the second time that I have been at this location and it is still fantastic. They made some upgrades and expanded the restaurant side and it's beautiful. The service has been amazing and very tentative to their customers. The octopus salad was phenomenal! I loved how citrus, flavorful, savory, and appetizing it was. I love seafood. And on top of this, I took a TRIPLETA (not pictured) which is a sandwich that is filled with pulled pork, steak, chicken, lettuce, and tomatoes. If you like spicy, ask for the spicy sauce and spicy Mayo to pair with it. Man, that was also delicious. Can't wait to go try more food. Best non-Mexican Latin food in Augusta! I got their Mofongo with Pernil ($15). My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I have had a lot of Mofongo in my life- including (where the dish disputably originates) in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic and. And the Mofongo at La Casa Latina is up there with the best of them! The Mofongo was very moist, not dry at all which is the downfall of most Mofongos. I ordered the beef & cheese stuffed plantain with tostones, my husband ordered the Cubano Sandwich with tostones (they forgot the tostones), and then we got 2 chicken empanadas and 2 guava & cheese empanadas. This restaurant was on my "must eat there" list. I was ecstatic when I saw the were on Uber eats (Yes, Augusta FINALLY has Uber eats). After reading reviews, I decided to order the fried pork. It comes with salad, rice and beans, plantains, and fried pork. On Uber eats, yellow rice with black beans was pictured, but I got white rice with a side of red beans, maybe they were pinto beans, I'm not sure. The sweet plantains were delicious, but I found the pork to be very tough. I like Latin food and I'm not giving up on this restaurant, I'll be trying out a different menu item in the near future. I'm going to hold off giving this place 5 stars only because I haven't eaten here. I've actually been to the bodega attached. The bodega is perfect for those Hispanic seasonings and purchases you can't get anywhere else. I went to grab some frying cheese. I had never had Puerto Rican cuisine before but I'm a lover of worldly cuisine and spices. I had seen several reviews, pictures, and posts of this restaurant/grocery store so I had to stop in and see what it was all about. I see what all the hype is about because everything I ate was delicious except the plantains, I didn't like the sweet and soggy taste of them. I came during a busy lunch weekday and it was booming with people. I wasn't sure where this place was so I had to call ahead to get directions and once I was informed where the exact location was it was simple to get to. The parking lot is very small being that this business share lot with other businesses. I had to squeeze into one available spot. As I stated before, the place was bustling with people. I had to find an available table to dine upon. The server was quite busy but he came over and took drink orders. I settle on a soda and for food I settled on a garlic chicken dish with yellow rice. I have the proper name of the items I order in the pictures I took of the food. The food came out quickly even though there was one lady cooking for the whole restaurant. I thought that was impressive. The chicken was right up my alley, fried extremely hard and seasoned to perfection. I even loved the rice concoction. I'm a serious lover of rice anyway, so I knew I would like it. The plantains on the other hand was not my cup of tea. They were very soggy and sweet. The taste was off to me. I really enjoyed everything else and was very well pleased with my first taste of Puerto Rican cuisine. I can see me coming to this place often and enjoy another great meal. read more

I love this place so much! It really does have the best Puerto Rican food hands down. I heard about it through good old traditional word of mouth around work and it took us months to get down here since it didn't have many reviews on Yelp but I'm glad we took a chance on it. The food here is amazing. I see the same regulars on the weekends and it's like we all share this amazing secret with each other (and now you all, I guess.) I never order the same thing twice thanks to their daily special. Sometimes it's pulled pork, sometimes it's ribs in a chimichurri sauce, and last week it was beef stew. No matter what I order, I always add a little homemade green salsa to it. The lady who runs the place is so kind. She's really what sells the place. There's obviously a lot of pride and love that comes from running this place and our first 5 times trying new dishes was always met with a "you're gonna love it." And we do. They do a brisk lunch business and close the restaurant at 7:00 so try to get here early!
