A great place a short walk from the beach. They are very friendly and the oxtail and beef patties I had were fantastic.

A few years ago, I heard a National radio show that raved about this place. I meant to come here…read moremuch sooner but somehow I did not have a chance until today. I am glad that I finally came here today! This time I got out of my comfort zone "Jerk Chicken" and excitedly tried "Jerk Pork" for the first time, which was backed up by a high reputation among trusted foodies. My order was Jerk Pork Poutine only but it was a hit! The pork had all the qualities of good roasted pork - Crispiness outside, chunkiness, juiciness & tenderness inside full of jerk flavor!!!!! The outside crispiness keeps the juice and flavor of the meat. The fries, gravy, and cheese were there to complement the meat. I am glad that I tried this today. In the past at other places, I have had many poutines that had meat items on top of poutines, but they are usually using stringy dry overcooked meat in place of gravy. But Jus Jerk Stop's poutine let the meat play the leading role of the show. I appreciated this! I wanted to try Oxtail (recommended in the radio show) but it is available only on Thursday and Friday. Must come back for this. The size of the poutine was smaller than I expected ($14.15 before tip). But I looked for quality over quantity, so I was very happy. Nice to have this place in my area.

Was looking for a good Jamaican patty and found this place. Patties were delicious. Small local…read morebusiness.

Ive driven by this place many times and decided to stop by. The place is set up as a takeout spot…read more They only take cash and debit. The person behind the counter was polite and she took my order and prepped the food (she also washed her hands between taking the cash and starting the food, so I really appreciated the cleanliness. I ordered a simple boneless curry chicken roti with a little spice. The roti is perfectly cooked, not at all chewy and has the right kind of crumble to it. I really enjoyed that part. The curry inside was ok. It was very watery, so it's not the type that you can eat with your hands. You NEED a fork/spoon. The chicken and potatoes were cooked, the curry seasoning was somewhat bland. It tasted ok, but could have used more seasoning. The pricing was ok, but I would probably only go back if I was in a pinch.

This place skews more Indian than Jamaican..which is okay but if you want the authentic jerk…read moreflavours- I would go elsewhere. I had the jerk lunch combo- and the flavours were okay but it didn't hit you like true jerk chicken does. It felt muted and missed the open grill taste of true jerk. Also it was served from a chafing dish which wasn't warm enough so the food wasn't hot. The double was really good and the samosas were okay.

Found in a little food truck plaza off of Taunton Road. This non-descript 'plaza' of food trucks…read moreoffers varieties like Mexican, Jamaican, Greek and a chip stand. Decisions were tough given the variety of food. I've always been a fan of jerk and random places to eat so the math added up and next thing you know I'm writing this review. The perfect recipe for a jerk chicken dinner is rice and peas, coleslaw, and chicken. (Let's throw in the Ting as a freebie that doesn't require a review). A) Jerk Chicken. This chicken was obviously cooked over a long period of time given the tenderness of the meat (I did notice a smoker off to the side). Succulent, fall off the bone chicken with just the right amount of kick. I ordered the small and it was a great sized portion for a hungry 'boy'. Absolutely amazing tasting and textured chicken. B) Rice and peas - fragrant, high quality rice with delicious kidney beans. The gentleman working at this place offered oxtounge gravy which I gladly accepted. The sauce to rice ratio was perfect and the flavours were spot on. Honestly, Jamaican cuisine is one of my favourites and this was on par with a traditional home cooked meal found in the heart of Kingston. C) Coleslaw - just the perfect amount of creaminess to cabbage ratio. Fresh, crunchy and tasty! Honestly, after I finished my food, I had to tell the owner that this was the best jerk chicken I've ever had. Hands down. Enjoy :)

Trying different Jerk Chicken places around the GTA and downtown is a long time hobby of mine, because it's one of the best foods to ever be invented, thank you so much Jamaica. First time I had it was in 2007 when I visited that great country on vacation and have been addicted ever since. Yes, it has bones in it, this is nothing new. The strange human at the bottom review complaining about hurting their teeth needs to check themselves and maybe get familiar with ALL JERK CHICKEN. Ignore that review. This Jerk ties for the #1 spot of EVERY JERK CHICKEN I'VE TRIED, which is a lot. The only one equal to this so far is "Jerk King" in Toronto on Bloor. Keep up the great work "Kings Finest Foods", solid recipe. See you again soon.
