The man I spoke to 10 minutes earlier greeted me and started a pleasant convo while he punched in my order asking where I was from, if I looked him up, etc. It was a nice way to end the day and the food is real amazing Jamaican stuff to top it off. This time I got out of my comfort zone "Jerk Chicken" and excitedly tried "Jerk Pork" for the first time, which was backed up by a high reputation among trusted foodies. My order was Jerk Pork Poutine only but it was a hit! The pork had all the qualities of good roasted pork - Crispiness outside, chunkiness, juiciness & tenderness inside full of jerk flavor!!!!! The outside crispiness keeps the juice and flavor of the meat. The fries, gravy, and cheese were there to complement the meat. I am glad that I tried this today. In the past at other places, I have had many poutines that had meat items on top of poutines, but they are usually using stringy dry overcooked meat in place of gravy. But Jus Jerk Stop's poutine let the meat play the leading role of the show. I appreciated this! I wanted to try Oxtail (recommended in the radio show) but it is available only on Thursday and Friday. Must come back for this. The size of the poutine was smaller than I expected ($14.15 before tip). But I looked for quality over quantity, so I was very happy. Nice to have this place in my area.

Honestly, Jamaican cuisine is one of my favourites and this was on par with a traditional home cooked meal found in the heart of Kingston. This Jerk ties for the #1 spot of EVERY JERK CHICKEN I'VE TRIED, which is a lot. The only one equal to this so far is "Jerk King" in Toronto on Bloor.
