The container it came in was broken, or maybe chewed from something living behind the walls... They say education cost money, it sure does to the tune of $35 for taking out there garbage... It was almost closing time plus we were antsy to get home after a long drive so I called in my order to pick up. Right when the gentleman answered the phone, I knew I made the right choice. He was courteous and just wonderfully delightful. I went with the usual - jerk chicken and curry goat. When I got to the store, I saw my food was packed and ready to go. The man I spoke to 10 minutes earlier greeted me and started a pleasant convo while he punched in my order asking where I was from, if I looked him up, etc. It was a nice way to end the day and the food is real amazing Jamaican stuff to top it off. Another bonus is the vinegar based coleslaw which is perfect if you don't prefer creamy slaws (like me). This is a hidden gem!

We were a little concerned because the container seemed small but they fill that styrofoam container to the brim. The fact that it comes full of rice, veggies and 3 pieces of chicken is fantastic value. The rice and beans is great but yes, take their recommendation and put either jerk or curry gravy over the rice! The jerk chicken was spicy and flavourful but the fried chicken was just okay. I preferred the jerk chicken because there are better places for fried chicken. Got a side order of plantains that was nice and sweet. There are so many jerk places in the area, but this place is a great option.

This time I got out of my comfort zone "Jerk Chicken" and excitedly tried "Jerk Pork" for the first time, which was backed up by a high reputation among trusted foodies. My order was Jerk Pork Poutine only but it was a hit! The pork had all the qualities of good roasted pork - Crispiness outside, chunkiness, juiciness & tenderness inside full of jerk flavor!!!!! The outside crispiness keeps the juice and flavor of the meat. The fries, gravy, and cheese were there to complement the meat. I am glad that I tried this today. In the past at other places, I have had many poutines that had meat items on top of poutines, but they are usually using stringy dry overcooked meat in place of gravy. But Jus Jerk Stop's poutine let the meat play the leading role of the show. I appreciated this! I wanted to try Oxtail (recommended in the radio show) but it is available only on Thursday and Friday. Must come back for this. The size of the poutine was smaller than I expected ($14.15 before tip). But I looked for quality over quantity, so I was very happy. Nice to have this place in my area.

I ordered a simple boneless curry chicken roti with a little spice. The roti is perfectly cooked, not at all chewy and has the right kind of crumble to it. I really enjoyed that part. The curry inside was ok. It was very watery, so it's not the type that you can eat with your hands. You NEED a fork/spoon. The chicken and potatoes were cooked, the curry seasoning was somewhat bland. It tasted ok, but could have used more seasoning. The pricing was ok, but I would probably only go back if I was in a pinch.
