I live year-round in Ortley Beach and have been going to Lasolas for years. It wasn't as crowded as I expected for a 4th of July. I go to the meat counter and "gentleman" asks me if he could help me. I tell him that I want to get a skirt steak a little more than a pound and few filets. He takes out a skirt steak and weighs it and, after I ask him the weight, he says 1.76 lbs. I said I would like something smaller and pointed to a smaller steak in the case. He stands there and stares at me annoyingly like "are you kidding me?" and proceeds to tell me "I don't want to handle all of the steaks in the case". Then asks me "do you want this steak or not" holding up the large steak. I had just told him before that I wanted a smaller one so I tell, quite loudly, "I don't want anything from this store now or ever again" and walked out.
