I am writing to report a disappointing customer service experience at the Jamba location in JFK International Airport, Terminal 5 (JetBlue terminal). During my visit, I ordered two large açaí bowls with triple peanut butter, one for myself and one for my boyfriend. I often order extra peanut butter because the standard portion is very small, so I specifically paid for the triple peanut butter add-on. The total for the order was close to $60, so this was certainly not a small order. When the bowls came out, my boyfriend's bowl had the extra peanut butter as requested. However, my bowl only had the normal amount. I politely asked if a little more peanut butter could be added since I had paid for triple peanut butter. At that point, a woman who appeared to be a supervisor or manager asked the employee who prepared my order, within earshot of me and several other customers, "Did he pay for that extra peanut butter?" This immediately felt like my honesty was being questioned in front of others. I responded calmly that I had indeed paid for triple peanut butter. She then replied, "I didn't ask you, I'm asking my employee." I explained that it was my order and that I knew what I had requested and paid for. She responded again, "I'm not talking to you." Rather than escalate the situation, I simply accepted the bowl once it was corrected, said thank you, and walked away. As I was leaving, the same employee loudly called out "You have a nice day now!" in a tone that felt clearly sarcastic and condescending. What made the situation even more disappointing was that the other employees behind the counter were very polite and helpful, and the interaction had been pleasant up until this moment. Unfortunately, the conduct of this one employee, who appeared to be in a supervisory role, completely changed the experience. I'm not saying don't ever eat here because I love Jamba Juice, but maybe the employee should work on her customer service skills. I have worked in customer service industries (I was a flight attendant for 10 years and retail before that for over 30 years) for most of my adult life before becoming a teacher, and I understand that mistakes happen. However, publicly questioning a customer's honesty and dismissing them in that manner is not what most people would consider professional customer service. I wanted to bring this interaction to your attention because I believe it reflects poorly on the customer experience at this location. read more

Standard little Jamba Juice location combined in a small space with a Cibo Express here at JFK Terminal 5. As there is not really much in the terminal that is on the healthy side to eat it was nice to get a smoothie to take on the plane after waiting a while after a long delay. PB + Banana smoothie made with whey protein. I was just happy they didn't announce any peanut allergy warning on my flight. read more

This location is conveniently located inside JFK Airport. I was here for an early morning flight and the Jamba had just opened, but I was surprised to see that a lot of things were out of stock. Maybe they didn't restock for a few days? Not sure but the person working there told me they were out of several different items I had requested. I finally settled on the acai dream fusion bowl. It wasn't very fast to come out even though there was only one person there besides me ordering. However, once I got my order, I loved it! The fusion bowl was refreshing and delicious! The large size is also super filling so it's perfect for a meal too. There's no seating here since it's just a grab and go spot, but you can find easy seating nearby at the airport. read more

I sometimes get breakfast here, as the açaí bowl with coconut whip is to die for. Lines are ALWAYS long, and if you come in the morning, expect your shake to be premade to cut down on the wait time. I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience at Jamba Juice in JFK Airport was so shockingly bad that I feel obligated to warn others. After waiting 45 minutes in line, you'd expect at least basic courtesy. Instead, we were met with some of the rudest, most aggressive behavior I have ever encountered in any establishment. There was a stack of cups placed directly in front of the pickup area. We took one extra cup since we ordered five drinks, something that would be completely normal anywhere else. Immediately, a worker stormed over and began yelling at us as if we had committed some outrageous offense. Not a polite explanation, not a simple "those are extra", just full-on hostility. I calmly apologized and explained that I didn't realize cups needed to be paid for, especially since they were sitting out in the open. Instead of de-escalating, she continued to berate us loudly in front of everyone, insisting that because we touched the cup, we now had to pay for it. It was humiliating and completely unnecessary. Even more upsetting this behavior was directed not just at me, but at my kids as well. To make matters worse, when my daughter politely requested a customized açaí bowl (a very normal request at a place like Jamba Juice), the staff reacted as if she had asked for something outrageous. The tone was dismissive, impatient, and frankly disrespectful. This was, without question, the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Airports are stressful enough, there is no excuse for staff to treat customers this way. Save yourself the time, the money, and the frustration. Do not waste your time here. read more

Yes, this might be an amateur Jamba Juice location, but I'm still full of gratitude to put something delicious and healthier into my body - the peanut butter moo'd is a smoothie I first had at Jamba Juice two decades ago and have been remaking it at home ever since. Even for Jamba Juice fans, this location might be a dud. On one hand, it feels nice to have an option for healthy drinks (#1) but on the other other it isn't so fun having to pay so much more for them (#2) all while dealing with some lackluster attitude from the staff. Customer service is really the outlier here and they're certainly not that good at it. The good news is, most everything here tastes like anything you'd find at a regular Jamba Juice. The airport version doesn't skimp out on the ingredients or the options. All the classic favorites are here and they even customize certain drinks with all the add-ons that one would want. They also enjoy a constant influx of customers due to the fact that there are very little options outside of Starbucks for drinks and especially smoothies. This location is also shared with CIBO, so part of the store is split with typical airport food and drink options. At least in New York, few expect good service at the airport and this Jamba is no exception. Especially in the morning, some of the people at work here are very rude and seem annoyed by most of the folks ordering here. I get it, people suck. But so does paying $8 for a Razzmatazz. I normally don't write reviews of any such because it's too tedious but I have to warn you before you decide to come here... For some reason they HAD to have two people working at one cashier which slowed the ordering process much more than needed. We ordered four drinks, and it took almost seven minutes for the workers to understand what we were getting (1 pb chocolate love, 1 strawberry wild, 1 orange dream machine and 1 caribbean passion). After ordering I stepped to the side to wait for my drinks and fifteen minutes later they call #162 (I was #160). Another ten minutes go by and next thing i know they're calling #175! The worst part is nobody had started making my drinks yet!! The lady working there took the receipt that they gave ME to keep and finally started making the drinks I ordered. However, when she called my order number to hand me my drinks, they somehow forgot that I had a fourth drink and gave me three instead!!!!! I even watched the workers make my drinks to make sure that they made it right. The worker who made my drink blended it, poured it into the cup, and then poured all of it BACK into the blender... they forgot the juice that goes in the smothie. I don't understand how you can mess up an order that badly but it's just happened. In the end I received two discolored watery drinks, one chunky smoothie, and a chunky caribbean passion with bits of green veggies mixed in. this jamba juice experience was one of the strangest of my life. i asked for a dragon fruit bowl with no bananas but was told the bowls are all pre-made so it wasn't possible to have no bananas, this wasn't an issue until my friend ordered the same bowl and received a freshly made bowl that was not frozen pre-made as they had ran out of the pre-made ones. I also asked for a cup of water but was told they 'don't sell cups of water' even though tap water is free across the country. Overall, a really bad and weird experience. Will not be returning to any Jamba Juice after this experience. read more

Employees are always upset and rude here, they add way too much ice to their smoothies that you can barely taste the flavor. My "amazing green" drink with kale tasted great but was almost $7 for a size small. Their prices seem to climb by the day. This Jamba Juice has no seating. They make drinks pretty fast even with long lines because they're staffed with quite a few people. I've had smoothies before from other locations situated in airports and this one by far is virtually a miss. I arrived and decided to pick up a protein smoothie and ended up throwing it in the trash less than five minutes after purchasing it. I don't recall then name of it but it was the highest protein smoothie that they had. On departure day, I didn't have time to eat before my flight, so I asked one of the customers about the protein drink he purchased and he mentioned that it was good IF they can make it right. He went on to say that this particular location for whatever reason does not make good smoothies. This time around my smoothie wasn't great but it was tolerable. There are only so many healthy food choices at JFK that you can choose from. Unfortunately, I didn't have access to any lounges in this terminal since it was the main Jet Blue one. The Priority Pass lounges are elsewhere. So I decided to grab a Jamba Juice beverage and eat my sandwich in the dining area of the terminal. I ordered a mango, carrot, and ginger juice and asked for a water bottle. Unfortunately, they have multiple brands of bottled waters here so I had to go look at the case to decide on one. The cashier said I could just get back in line when I was done but the line had grown 4 people long and I didn't want to cut in front of them even though I'd been there first. With my luggage, it was a little cumbersome to get around. The location is small but the workers are fairly nice. The juice I ordered was ready in about 5 minutes. Today must have been an off day at this location. When I arrived there was no one in line and 4 people behind the counter - 2 on the registers and 2 to make orders. I felt a little rushed to place an order because they kept asking me what I would like as a mulled over the menu. Meanwhile, about 5 other customers appeared and ordered. When it was finally my turn, as she handed me my order she said "Greens and Ginger"....instinctively I responded "Did you add the wheatgrass?" She promptly took the cup back and dumped the contents into a blender. The Manager quietly inquired...and I heard her respond something about forgetting the wheatgrass. She added it, reblended and handed it to me. I guess there are points for promptly fixing all of the orders quickly...? read more

Smoothies are fresh, staff is robotic in the sense of order.. credit card..next. They look like they hate their job but hey its alright because the smoothies are fine. This location doesn't participate in many promotions that the companies send out (ie: two dollars off a classic smoothie promotion). My favorite smoothie is the strawberries wild!!
