The cashier accidentally took my drink down wrong but then I let the manager know (I think he was the manager) and he made my drink quickly. I wish I could give this 0 stars. When we walked into this business at about 6:30 AM, there were two employees standing at the cash register and it looked like they were open for business since everything was set up and especially because online, it says that they open at 5 AM. When we were quietly looking at the menu for about 30 seconds, one of the two employees rudely told us "we aren't open yet" with an extremely unpleasant tone. She very rudely and very clearly rolled her eyes at us and the other employee just smirked. I have never seen such rude service. These lazy employees don't want to work since they lied to us about them not being open. They act like they're not getting paid for an easy job of just mixing some fruit together in a blender. Staff is aloof, 2 people cleaning while 1 runs the register and another makes juice and can't keep the order right. In some act genius, the one making juice skips me by two orders while it has clearly been done for over 5 minutes. Needs staff reorganization or maybe rehiring. Our red-eye flight was delayed many hours, so we treated ourselves to a Jamba Juice. I say treated because with three children it was an expensive way to pass the time, but I guess what can you expect at an airport! At least it was healthy! It wasn't too crowded since it was so late in the evening, however preparing the juice took an awfully long time. Since they are individually made I can't fault them for that. I bought a smoothie here before my flight just now. I love jamba and almost always grab a juice here before flights. Something has really changed...everyone behind the counter seemed to be yelling at each other and it seemed like the people before me all had their orders messed up (wrong juice, wrong oatmeal topping, etc). I got a carrot karma and started sipping it. I got one hair-like thing in my mouth and figured it was a fiber from a carrot (I juice a lot so I know that does happen). But then I got another, and another. They were all white and looked like dog hair with a slight curve at the front. I would have gone back, but I was already boarding so I just threw out the smoothie with 2/3rds left in if. Such a waste and so gross! So of course your experience here will be fully dependent upon the employees working that day. I have had very nice experiences and very odd experiences. I remember one time when I was flying during the winter and had built up quite the static charge from taking off my jacket for security, putting it back on, same for the shoes etc. So when I went to hand my money to the cashier I passed the static charge to her as well. She literally jumped back from the register and looked at me like I had just assaulted her. I apologized and explained what had happened but she still kept an eye on me for the rest of the time that I was there. Guess she had never experienced static electricity before. Stopping at this Jamba Juice is part of my travel routine. Go through security, scope out the gate, pick up a Jamba Juice and relax. It's usually not too busy so the small area isn't too big of a deal. However if it does get busy, meaning 4+ people (not that many compared to other Jamba's) it can be quite cramped. Prices and quality similar to all of the other Jamba stores - no surprises there. read more

Employees should be fired. They don't bother to speak up or listen to their customers, and they don't fill their drinks up properly. You go here because of lack of choice in the JetBlue airport terminal, but don't waste your money. I ordered a large fruit, juice, and ice and asked them to blend with milk instead of ice. The lady at the counter told me they don't use ice (!??? It says clearly on the menu that they use ice) and then gave me a large size that was only three quarters of the way filled up. When I asked the girl who made it if they fill up their drinks all the way normally, she replied loudly, "THIS IS A LARGE, AND THIS IS A MEDIUM." Obviously I know the difference, which is why I paid close to eight dollars for a large cup, you insolent little girl. Since I work in Midtown Manhattan I really expected prices here to be about the same..well I was wrong. I ended up paying about $12 for a Snapple and a disgustingly soggy Turkey sandwich. Thinking about the sandwich is actually making me cringe a little. I've been too afraid to order a smoothie from here but judging from the reviews I may be better off than experimenting with the other products. My first time at this Jamba, I actually bought a parfait since it was an early morning flight. My visit to the terminal 5 Jamba Juice tarnished an otherwise outstanding culinary vacation/family holiday visit in nyc. I stopped in before my flight back to Austin, looking for water and a lil protein. At first I thought I'd grab a carton of organic milk, but thought, "Why not get a smoothie? Yeah, carrot orange, with Greek yogurt and soy, I'll go for it." Don't make the same mistake! As soon as my card was swiped, another employee told the cashier they were out of mango, which was part of the smoothie I'd just ordered. Apparently this lack of mango meant my smoothie was out of sight and out of mind. After an excessive wait, I asked about the status of my order, and the staff seemed unable to fix the mango issue, or offer a substitution. The clock was ticking, so I asked for a refund. Mumble mumble something, manager will be here, mumble mumble. After several more minutes of waiting, a more concerned employee asked, "how did you pay?... Oh, CREDIT..." and gave me a sympathetic look. "Yeah, you gotta wait." Instead, I made my flight and will contest the transaction with my credit card company. I ordered the mango/orange juice . Took few sips and threw the rest in garbage. It was very clear that it was not fresh juice, there was powdery/chalky texture to it. They had bunch of fresh fruit on display it would have been nice if they used that in their drinks as well. Never again will I try this chain. read more

They were out of almost everything. All the smoothies I wanted, they were unable to make because they were out of something in it. Instead of suggesting another ingredient or smoothie, the cashier would just look annoyed with me because a line was forming. I hadn't been to a Jamba Juice before and was happy to see one in the Jet Blue terminal during our layover. A bit on the expensive side but it was nice to grab a drink to go along with our food in the terminal. Both times we got a large drink focused on tropical fruits/juices (mango, pineapple etc) and added green stuff (I think it was spirulina) and it turned out nicely. No issues and I would definitely stop by this location or another Jamba Juice again. read more

I always like to have a shot of protein added to it. Jamba is a great alternative to the regular, unhealthy food options when traveling. The only issue with this location is the service. If you order something straight off the menu it might come out right ... but it might not. I tried ordering an almond milk matcha green tea smoothie. I tried to swap out some of the normal ingredients for others, and the cashier just didn't understand. All I wanted to do was to swap out the berries that normally came with the drink for something else --even swap. He tried to charge me $8 for what should have been a $5 smoothie. When I tried to explain it to him, he just gave me this completely perplexed look. I had to repeat the order several times, and then wound up settling for the drink as is because I couldn't get through to either of the cashiers.
