The Garland location has always been a go to for me when I dont want to drive to the Northpark location. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. I went in there looking for a ring and bracelet. I am unsure about my ring size since it varies from ring to ring. I was worried about my finger shrinking in the winter. Clairece had an idea and went to the back and came back with a paper bowl and ice. She told me to hold the ice in my hand and try to get my finger to shrink a little. It worked and I was very happy with the fit of the ring. I have never had a bad purchase and the staff at the Garland location has always been very helpful and they NEVER try to up-sale. read more

Soooo I'll give this location a much worthy 5 stars. Never have had any issues with this location. Store is clean and the staff is always helpful to help you find things and if you tell them just looking they go away and when you need them they are right there to help. Even when you check out and have been to a James Avery store in the past and been awhile since you came back, give them your number and they tell you welcome back and say your name. So who doesnt love a random pop in to one of their favorite jewelry stores? (Answer: probably no one.) We decided to make a random pop in following our brother birthday dinner at Flying Fish. It was like walking into a happy little 'frigerator from the hellacious heat outside. It was so cold and smelled so clean in there. Much enjoyable. At this point I had not decided what to get the little (16 year old, almost 6 foot tall) brother so I was pleased when I was informed he had been wanting a cross necklace. JACKPOT. So we pick out the cross he wanted to try it on and asked the lady, Rhona, to get it out for us. She was SUPER sweet and let him try on a whole handful of chains and was not even bothered by the fact that he couldnt decide on which one he wanted. She also didnt care that he is a slightly dirty 16 year old boy. Sweet! Props to her. In the end, we made a great selection, even though my mother said it was a bit gaudy. It was perfect for him! So I arrive around 10 when app says they will be open and see a sign that says they will not be open till 11. Considering weather it makes sense so I come back at 11. They are not open so I call the store and message says they will be open at 12. Go grab food with daughter and come back at 12 and I was greeted with an attitude plus this kind response "WE JUST GOT HERE and it takes an hour to open store". Mind you, the employee has no idea that I have completed medical appointment, visited her store twice already this morning, picked up lunch, and now sit waiting for this abrasive harsh customer service. Bought my wedding ring here, multiple items for my wife. Think something is lacking in the customer service department. Recommend anywhere else. read more

Very disappointed in this place and the poor customer service! I had a friend give me a charm bracelet for my recent adoption of my daughter and I took it in to see if I could have it engraved. I also wanted to see if there were any other options for the way the charm could attach. The woman that approached me was not interested in my business and said I could wear it on a chain but that's all. She quickly dismissed me as if she had better things to do. I was the only customer in the store! I won't be back. Very disappointed! read more

I visited the Firewheel location today and was "helped" by an associate named Bree. I don't believe I have ever been treated so rudely anywhere especially James Avery. I was there to get a ring re-sized I bought for my daughter for Christmas. When I said I need the ring re-sized. She said huh? What's that? I said I need this ring to be an 8 1/2. She said let me see if we have that size. Looks---no we don't have one. I said so can you make this one an 8 1/2? She says no you can't do that. Which I know you CAN because I've had my own done at that very location. So I then asked if any stores in the area had one. After a big sigh from Bree she tells me Plano has 1. Oh ok where is the Plano store? Bree says " I don't know!" Well my goodness. I was told they would hold it for 24 hours and 24 hours only with no eye contact from Bree. I quickly took my ring and left the store. I probably will never return to this location again. Her attitude and demeanor was putrid! read more

I'm so upset at the James Avery inside of Dillard's ! I went there about a week ago to get my necklace polished and I had to wait 5-10 minutes for someone to show up to the counter. Finally this lady showed up and helped me out. I told her how my necklace was dirty and had some spots I couldn't remove. She told me to come back in an hour and I did. When I got there she gave me my necklace and it was on the same condition! Like if she never cleaned it nor polished it! She said she couldn't remove the blemishes because I had ruined my necklace! So I left. And earlier today I went to the James Avery in Town East Mall and I asked the guy about the blemishes on my necklace and if he could tell me what I had to do to take them off. He took my necklace and started to clean it right in front of me with the rag they have and it was coming off!!! He told me it could of been lotion/sweat that made it like that and told me to keep on looking around while he cleaned it. IT TOOK HIM LESS THAN 10 MINUTES IN THE BACK, and came right back out and gave me my necklace LIKE BRAND NEW! With no blemishes and the silver looked so shiny!!! I spend hundreds of dollars at James Avery to be treated this way. On gems, rings, necklaces, earrings and even gift cards for my girl friends! I don't know if I should spend my money somewhere where they blame my BODY SWEAT OR MYSELF on ruining my jewelry! I don't want to hear that from someone... specially when I spend money we're you work, without customers the company wouldn't exist and her paycheck wouldn't either! read more
