We were actually at the grand opening of the new store this morning on bitters and Highway 281. We brave the elements to come in and get the gift with purchase. My wife was super excited about coming to this grand of winning event because she is a huge fan of James Avery. I thought the tote bag that they gave us looks a little bit simple and kind of cheap, but she got the charms that she wanted and is very very happy. I also appreciate that the store manager let folks in a little bit early because it was so darn cold outside while we were waiting in line. Thanks to the staff. read more

I dropped off a couple of items to be cleaned, a clasp to be fixed, and a knot to be taken out from a necklace at 11am. I got out of a study session for college and got there about an hour before closing. They told me it wasn't ready yet and I could wait 20-30 minutes and I shouldn't come before getting an email. 40 minutes go by and they finally give me my jewelry. I went back to my car and opened the bag of jewelry to see they didn't fix the clasp. So I go back in and inform them of their mistake, then I went back to my car and look at the rest of the jewelry only to see they didn't take out the knot either. At that point I go back in with the necklace and tell them they didn't fix either of the things I came for, I don't like the service I received, and would like to go to another location and to please just give me my bracelet back. The lady at the front desk said okay and went back to inform the lady I'd like to go elsewhere. Five more minutes go by and I say "how much longer is this going to take, you don't have to fix my bracelet I just want to go somewhere else" and then she finally goes back and gives me my bracelet. read more

I've often window shopped at the store. My husband bought me a butterfly pendant a few years back but I hadn't bought anything recently until preparing for Christmas gifts this year. The family we chose to help with Christmas gifts had asked for several James Avery jewelry. I felt it would be a lasting gift. With covid, we were advised to take pictures of what we wanted with the SKU number and go to the counter when ready. I got the ballerina shoes because it was specifically requested. The little girl does ballet. I got the dove for another girl because I loved the intricate design and hope she loves it too. One of the boys asked for a cross pendant and I chose the plain Latin cross. One of the other girls asked for either the M ring or the butterfly ring. Those were slightly above my budget so I got her a $40 gift card instead. Very excited to give the gifts, knowing most of them are getting exactly what they asked for. This spot has done it again, and by done it again, I mean gone above and beyond in service. I walked into smiling faces and a beautifully clean store full of goodies. I was looking for some ideas for an important ring, and the gentleman behind the register showed me several ideas. He also explained the ordering process and the time it would take was a lot shorter than I expected. He also talked about their store in Kerrville, which apparently has a museum attatched with their history. This sounds like a must see when I head out that way in a couple weeks. I have always received top quality silver charms and turquoise items here. Another perk is that they do free cleaning on your jewelry. You just leave the item with them and they can have it back in one to two days. They will treat you like royalty here. read more

Love James Avery jewelry!! I have had a collection since my Mimi gave me my first piece when I was a little girl. It is very nice quality, keeps for a lifetime & pass down. I like with the pieces you can customize to any style. A couple times I have had a small issue doing an exchange. My mom got me a ring online for Christmas & I went to exchange the size; it was obviously not worn all packaging intact. My mom said there was no option for gift receipt when she ordered & she could forward me the email. How embarrassing to have to call my mom. They ended up doing my exchange, but they made me feel like I was doing some scam. Recently I ordered a ring and they said it would be in Mon or Tues & they would call. It's Friday evening, no call, so I call them to check as I'm on my way there. They have nothing under my name. They ended up having the ring since Wed but under a man's name! We were actually going to Office Depot when I spotted James Avery and asked to check it out. We knew when we saw the bands that James Avery was what we had been looking for. We chose a simple gold band with silver lining, hammered and elegant. Total cost was under $300 for both. The best part of the ring selection is that if one of us every loses our band, this particular band is always made, so we can always go back and get another. That is exactly what one lady said when she was talking about going on 10 years of marriage with her husband. She never told him she had to buy a new one, though... Whoops. The store itself is nice. Customer service sucks. I walked in the store (no other customers) with the intention of buying a necklace for my friend. I was not greeted. I brushed it off. I walked around browsing. I was not approached, just stared at. A different customer walked in, they were greeted and helped. I walked towards the door, no words came out of their mouth. Caryn if you are reading this, work on smiling and making the costumer feel welcomed. You were very bland with your personality and not a very friendly representative. So, if you're from Texas or have ever lived here for any significant amount of time then you know James Avery. Beatuiful hand-crafted pieces. They specialize in jewelry that doesn't include gems and stones... mostly silver pieces. They are high quality and very durable. I have a few pieces that were given to me more than 20 years ago and they still look great. The service is outstanding and the showroom makes for a very comfortable browsing environment. You will be offered help, but not followed around or made to feel as if you must purchase or will be shunned for the rest of time! Expect to pay for hand crafted and high quality pieces. This particular location has plenty of parking and I've never encountered a line when shopping or picking up items. read more

Yesterday was my 1st time and last time shopping at this location. I have NEVER received such horrible customer service in all the years shopping at James Avery. From the minute I walked into the store to the minute walked out of the store I was uncomfortable. The ladies working at the store do not know how to attend to their customers in a professional manner nor do they make you feel welcome while you are in the store. I was standing at the counter while the salesperson was getting the charms I was interested in buying out and another customer comes right up to me at the counter and just stands there staring at me which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and not once did any of the salespeople day anything to this lady who was practically standing on top of me. I made my decision on what I wanted and before I could pay for my purchase the sales lady was already helping the other rude customer so I had to wait to pay for my purchase. I called today to make sure that my bracelet was going to be ready after 3 which is the time they said it'd be ready. I've had to wait at other James Avery stores because my items were not ready so I just wanted to make sure before I went to pick up it. The sales lady who answers the phone says, "well if that's the time they said it'd be ready for pick up it will be done." She then rudely hangs up the phone. read more
