I love love love James Avery but there isn't one close to my home so I usually only go to one location because when I pop in to get a charm put on or have my bracelet cleaned I'm usually told that it won't be ready for a ridiculous amount of time at other locations. So I was running errands and popped in as I had a charm that I needed to add to my bracket. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted (by does one expect less at James Avery?) and asked how can they help me today. I told the sales clerk that I needed to add a charm and asked about how long will it take. She told me it wouldn't take long and I almost fainted. She assisted me with locating the perfect spot on my bracelet and while she worked on it another clerk assisted me as I walked around and looked at other charms. I had some other errands to run and I was going to come back but before I could walk out the door, my bracelet was being brought to me. Talk about your customer service!!! I didn't know it still existed, especially to this extent. I have to give a HUGH shoutout to James Avery and their incredible team especially the manager, Alexandria, at the San Marcos store. About a month and a half ago my daughter and her grandmother went into their store to get a couple links added to her charm bracelet. Of course they have to ship it to Kerrville to get it fixed and would mail it back to us as soon as it was done. Since her grandmother is the one that took her to do this we didn't have any of the information on when it would be returned to us. After a few attempts of getting the shipping information from her grandmother we finally got it. Once we looked up the tracking number it said it was delivered over a month ago by UPS.....WHAT?!?!?! We never received anything, and with it being so long ago we figured it would be a complete loss. Figuring that whatever address they delivered to was enjoying it. After trying to start a claim with UPS, with little hope in mind, I got to a step that made me think I better call James Avery just to make sure I didn't need anything from their end. Once I got Alexandria on the phone that was it, I didn't need to do anything else. She handled everything. They even sent Ava a new replacement bracelet and took several days and emails to make sure it was exactly like the one that was lost. And doing this all before they have anything settled with UPS. I am absolutely impressed and beyond grateful. I am a customer for life (not that I wasn't before but this just sealed the deal). I was very excited to enter James Avery. The moment I walked in, Cassandra advised me that she would be with me shortly. I looked around and found the perfect ring. I waited for Cassandra to finish helping the previous customer. As I waited and waited, she helped other people that came after me. In my head, I thought that she probably thought I was still looking around. Another person came in and she helped them again. After waiting for a while and standing there looking dumbfounded, she finally came to assist me. I told her I forgot my ring size, but wanted the Faith, Hope, & Love Twisted Rope Ring. She was quick to gather the ring in different sizes. My right, ring finger is a 6.5! I'm happy and absolutely love my ring. I bought my Honey Bee Ring to remember my membership to Kappa Delta Pi. We walked in to a super busy store and were helped immediately anyways. I have honestly never had to wait more than 7 minutes to check out....and that was during Christmas. I brought in my charm bracelet bought at JA in Amarillo more than 28 years ago along with charms from them bought throughout the years that have already been discontinued. It looked awful. I probably haven't worn it in 5 or 6 years. They cleaned it for no charge and I received it back looking brand new and beautiful. As for the shopping experience, they have crowd management down to a science. I visited on 12/23. The store, as expected, was packed and the line was long. But they had one lady collecting orders as we stood in line so that our items were pulled and ready to view by the time we hit the register. Many of them are now discontinued and collectors items. I don't have much beside charms. My whole family has several pieces of James Avery. They are always coming out with new things. Although I love the jewelry in this store the service tonight was terrible! The sales person ignored us upon arrival & never addressed us as "I'll be right with you" etc. The younger sales associate looked up and saw several people waiting & said nothing! She did not ask who was next nor address any of the customers waiting. The management would do well to instruct the staff to address the customers & inquire "Who is NEXT?". One very rude customer cut in line & the young staff person did not object or tell the rude customer it was not her turn yet. Upon calling the store (after we left) the staff person Sandy was apologetic for the way we were ignored & the lack of leadership to take customers in order of arrival. WORST SERVICE...My friend introduced me to James Avery a few months ago and I bought this ring the very next day. When purchasing, the lady told me to stop by anytime, and they will polish the ring. Today (Monday) I stopped by the same store I purchased it at (in Southlake, TX) and the ladies were so rude. There were only two other couples in the store, and I was told at 1:30PM that they would not have my ring ready until 5PM (THREE AND A HALF HOURS LATER...SERIOUSLY) because they did not have the staff (even though 3 employees were working). I then left to go to another store and then walked past James Avery again 30 minutes later and NOBODY was in the entire store besides the 3 employees. I walked in and told the lady (different lady) that I was informed that my ring couldn't be polished until 5PM and that I just wanted to stop by quickly because it "only takes a few minutes to do" as she had said. The lady refused to help me because they were "busy" even though I was the only person in the store and there were three staff members. I understand that they have other work to do, but as the only customer in the store, I expect them to assist me. Obviously James Avery does not value it's customers, and I am no longer a fan...very unfortunate. And I'm sure if I would have purchased something today, they would have polished my ring right then and there without giving me trouble. Also the website says "Stop by your local store for a complimentary professional cleaning." NOT "Drop off your jewelry for a complimentary cleaning". read more

My sister and I got cross rings from the Arlington Highlands location today. My ring is fine, is kinda looks tarnished in the corners, but that may be on purpose. But my sisters ring turned her finger green!!! And that was only after the first few hours of wearing it! We did not pay over $50 for a ring that is going to turn her finger green. So needless to say, we are going tomorrow to get her money back. I havent decided yet if I will keep mine or not. Very disappointing. read more
