I was working with Nicole from James office for coverage in my RZR. The policy was quoted and put into place. Then when it was billed It doubled. Nicole was working with me to correct it and communication stopped. I tried for weeks to reach her and finally decided to go back to the way we first connected which was Facebook. At this point I just want confirmation the policy is terminated. In a gesture of grand professionalism Nicole, rather than calling me as promised, blocked me. Business relationships do not always work out. But it is beyond unprofessional to not inform your clients Of the status of their policy. read more

Oh this is some bullshit I never wrote this review and I ditched them in September. They are pushy unwilling to listen and will blow your phone up even after you tell them that you found a cheaper insurance company. I hung up several time when James Cassidy would harass me about staying with the company. 3 months later I get my cancellation letter that showed I canceled my insurance with them back on September 3td 2020. Never got a refund check from them and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Even when it was clear that I would be resolving the issue with my company - he went above and beyond to get me helpful information that contributing to the resolution. Appreciate a person who cares more about the overall experience than just himself. read more

We have had nothing but a poor experience with this office.  It started when my wife tried to change her last name and we kept receiving bills and notices with her maiden name, after several calls and emails about the change. Transferring my policy to California from out of state, and changing her car over from her parents was another hassle. It took them nearly six months to fix all of their initial mistakes, including leaving discounts off of our policies, and changing our renters insurance to our new address. We asked the office several times to add the low milage discount to both our vehicles and they never did. We had to do it ourselves, online. Recently, we purchased a new car and called to get that car added and my wife's car removed. We initially received temporary insurance in our names with our correct address and information, but when the permanent insurance cards came in, they put our new car under my wife's parents policy, but with our address. This was the last straw for us. We are changing agents. read more

I just noticed my husband left a 1 star review and received a rather petty response from Mr. Cassady that included inaccurate information. Here is what he said vs what really happened. 1.  When you added the van to your insurance, we asked your wife what coverages she wanted.  She informed us to replicate the coverages of one the vehicles that we had already insured.  We did that.  Please keep in mind that the original vehicles that were transferred into my office where written in another Agents office out of state.  You had a towing situation but did not have that in the original vehicles that you previously opted out of at the previous insurance agents office and therefore did not have that coverage on the van.  The coverage was available but you chose to not add it.  What really happened: a van was never insured as my husband and I never had a van. My husband's SUV was insured in another state and we had that transferred to Mr. Cassady's office, which was a complete nightmare as they continusiously tried to upsell us even though we wanted the same coverage. The out of state agent was willing to send all info and had problems with Mr. Cassadys office. I have no idea what he is talking about with the "towing situation". We have always had AAA for towing so never needed it with State Farm or asked for it but this is probably something they wanted to upsell us on. 2. When you added that van originally, we where not told that this was already an existing policy on that van in another State Farm Agent's office.  If we would have know, getting that van transferred would have been a snap but we added it when requested.  My office does not have access to other agencies systems. We have no way of knowing due to privacy laws unless instructed by the client. We did not know that the van needed to be cancelled in the other Agents office.  We eventually worked with the other Agents office to correct your situation immediately once you informed us of this issue. It was corrected immediately once we were informed.  What really happened: again, we don't have a van and I have the emails showing the conversation exchange that we did in fact tell them we were transferring from another office out of state. Furthermore, how would they know about the other agent if we hadn't have told them? . 3. As for the maiden name change, we made the changes requested as evidenced by the temp ID cards that were issued by my office.  As to why you believe they kept coming with the maiden name on them, I would say that it was probably just a delay in postal mail sending out the updated hard copy ( changes were immediate).  What really happened: I received mail from State Farm for over 6 months with my maiden name. One of the secretaries is the one who told us that the name change hadn't went through so they would process it again. Apparently when I emailed our marriage certificate, it couldn't be opened the first time due to privacy settings. We faxed it and then it was changed. 4. Finally, as for the discounts,  you were on a program that you earn a low miles discount by reporting those miles accurately every 6 months.  This helps verify accuracy of reporting by our customers and is required by State Farm Corporate.  This helps control premium and keep things fair for all State Farm Customers.  Also, the discount that you were receiving was not accurate or available for your situation. You were previously receiving a homeowner's discount as if you were living in your parent's home.  When it was reported that was not the case- Corporate removed the discount. We can not issue discounts that our customers are not eligible for.  We strive to fair and honest at all times. By not doing so this would effect all other policy holders and owners of State Farm by unethically manipulating discounts.  State Farm (and other insurance carriers) need to collect the appropriate premium to make sure there is enough money in the pot to pay for claims.  This is for everyone's protection of claims and premiums. What really happened: we weren't living in our parents home. Instead, we had an apartment and had coverage for our items with Mr. Cassadys office and asked for everything to be bundled for a discount. Furthermore, my parents, nor his parents has homeowners insurance through State Farm so I have no clue where that is coming from. We asked for my husband's vehicle to be put on the low miles program as we moved to a very small town and weren't driving as much and we always reported our mileage through the app. Mr. Cassady also apologized for services rendered when all we got was a headache. He also gave us a very hard time when we requested to switch to another agent. It took that agents office 3 months to undo all the mistakes that his office did. I do not appreciate all the lies that were told. read more

She did all the work for me, which was so awesome. Basically, I called her from the car when I left work and by the time I got home, I was already set. She communicated with me by phone, text message, and email to ensure we dotted our i's and crossed our t's. She made a stressful process incredibly easy! read more

We have been with James since our arrival to California from Colorado. He was quick to get us the quotes we asked for, and was very helpful when we bought our house and needed to have our policy reviewed. The biggest perk working with this State Farm office is that you are treated like family. When I call I am addresses by my name right away, and when I go to the office the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. I could not imagine being with another State Farm Insurance agent. My wife and I went to James' office for life insurance policies in 2015 not really knowing what we both needed and also to see if he could give us a better rate on our homeowners insurance than our previous insurer. James was very knowledgeable about the policies we were interested in and took a lot of time to explain the different life and home policies to my wife and I in order to find the one that best suited us. He was also able to beat our homeowners rate from our previous insurer. James even came to our house to finalize everything when we were unable to make it to his office due to work schedule conflicts. We couldn't be happier with his services and State Farm Insurance. WARNING THIS INSURANE IS EXPENSISVE AND THE CUSTOMER SERIVE IS TERRIBLE. I honestly do not have the best driving record and my bill increased as it should which was not upsetting. When the accidents occured state farm itself was fine. However whenever I needed to deal with my agent directly it was a completely different story. Each time James was incredably rude and the moment I attempted to cancle my policy things just got worst. When I attempted to cancle my life insurance policy I was told that James wouldn't want me becomming a sad story he tells people about how I DIED and didn't have money to give my family (Im 19 years old with no husband or children) especially with my driving history. They also went on to tell me that I would not be able to find cheaper insurance with better customer serive which was also a lie and fear tactic that James himself used on me. Within a day I was able to find multilpe quotes that were up to $100 cheaper per month, switch to another company, and on top of that had some amazing experiences working with other companies such as esurance. Professionalism is not normally practiced at this establishment in my personal opinion. read more
