Dr. MacDuff USED to be my favorite dr. I recommended every woman I know to him but over the last…read moreseveral years he has fallen to my least favorite. Guess he is too busy to care about his patients anymore. Maybe he has more patients than he can handle and is trying to lose a few. Two years ago, I needed to see him but his appointments were 9 months out. I really wanted to only see him so I figured I could wait. 2 weeks before my appointment, his office left me a message that he needed to cancel and I should call for a new appointment. Whelp, they couldn't squeeze me in and made a new appointment for 9 months away. I sent a Mychart message telling him my problem and can he give me something until my appointment comes. No response at all. I sent a 2nd message and again, zero response. I tried one more time, a nurse responded. Said she would ask him and get back to me. No response. I should have quit him then but still liked him so I stayed. Now, today, I have a simple yes/no question since my scheduled (and soon to be canceled) appointment is still 6 months away. Messaged the office 3 weeks ago. Got an immediate response from the nurse... she will ask him and let me know. No response. A week later asked again. Again got the same response from the nurse and again, no response since. I am so very disappointed, he used to be top notch, now I tell every woman I know to see any doctor other than MacDuff. He is the Worst!

Biggie Smalls was the illest...and Dr. MacDuff is too…read more Part of the Elmhurst Clinic practice, Dr. MacDuff is fantastic. There are five doctors in this practice and he is easily our favorite. His bedside manner could not be improved upon, he answers all questions, takes as much time as you need, explains things in detail, and sets your mind at ease. Our visits with him feel as safe and loving as getting advice from your (mine, not yours) father. Crossing my fingers (and legs) that our baby is born the day Dr. MacDuff is the obstetrician on call at the hospital!

The OMG Midwives have a schnazzy new office!…read more I've been a patient at OMG since 2017, when I transferred care a few months before I had my first child. The midwives had been great with my prenatal and postnatal care (unexpectedly, Dr. Daube delivered my child), and also with the birth of my second child (2019). My second child, much to my dismay, ended up being Frank Breech and would not budge. Megan and Kinsey helped council me through my options, and Kinsey attended an ECV. She assisted the OB and was a great support to me! She also attended the birth, and Karishma was my doula. Unfortunately the Birth was the furthest thing from the natural water birth that I had planned, but they were so supportive and amazing! Karishma stayed with me for at least an hour postpartum and made sure everything was OK. I've seen Megan the most: she and the other midwives are all great! Megan has continued to help me, postpartum, through some physical difficulties. She's referred me to other providers (i.e. ortho, PT), and has been diligent about following up with them and me! I appreciate it! I like all of the office staff - everyone is so nice and makes an effort to get to know you. I do have to say that I am NOT a fan of Dr. Gilles, as she was very pushy about the DTap while I was pregnant. I politely declined, and she ignored me and made it a point to thrust a leaflet into my hand, telling me she was required to do so. I never had an issue with Dr. Daube in that regard. I absolutely did not want any more encounters with her, so I was so happy that I had the option to have a doctor at Hinsdale (Hemphill - LOVE HER!) deliver my second child. I love the OMG Midwives and overall really like the practice itself.

I will always be grateful for some of the great doctors here: Dr. Walz-Buscher who literally stood…read morewith me and kept me calm during my (unexpected) spinal/c-section, for Dr. McGee's gentle humor and knowledge, and for Dr. Chi's support postpartum. However, many things throughout the last half of my high-risk pregnancy were not ok and for that reason I stopped going to this practice and would caution others against it until some staff improves. Long story short, I followed Dr. McGee from another practice mid-(high risk) pregnancy. Moving wasn't ideal, but I had no other option due to my status and felt she was worth it. It seems though that when she and many of her patients moved over, the staff at both locations, particularly Hinsdale that is smaller and less staffed (as I was continually reminded) became overloaded and at least in my case it was taken out on me. I was kind, patient and appreciative from the beginning for any appointments I got, but was frankly repeatedly treated like crap by Norma at the front desk. And I'm not talking about a bad day, I'm talking about any time I was told by the doctor to make another appointment or further things I needed to do I dreaded it because the attitude and push-back I received was awful. She would blatantly ignore me when I came in for appointments, leave me holding for several minutes or hanging up if I called. The last straw was being there in the waiting room one evening with my (Spanish-speaking) husband and him overhearing her making fun of me in Spanish with the medical assistant Yesenia. Yesenia was very rough with NSTs-always complaining at the outset that I had an anterior placenta and she didn't know if she could get a sound of my baby, threatening that if not I'd have to go all the way downtown to Prentice. The last time I had one she was moving my stomach so much it hurt. I almost didn't get my breast pump in time for delivery because they supposedly didn't receive a form that was faxed by the company, twice. When I requested a note several weeks after delivery to clear me to return to work I was again met with attitude. The most basic of things that we all need were somehow a huge issue. She brought a level of professionalism when a doctor was (rarely) in the room with her and as soon as we were alone, that disappeared. Once, my husband arrived separately to accompany me for an appointment and they ignored him in the waiting room until he asked where I was. Understandably, these incidents increased my stress and blood pressure so I stopped coming to this office, driving the extra distance to the downtown office which never once had an issue conducting an NST or scheduling (in fact, I suspect many of the poor reviews at the downtown location referencing poor customer service are tied to Norma, who also answers the main line). Imagine trying for years to get pregnant and making it to the finish line, and this being the experience you dreamed you'd get to have. It was just cruel. Simply, there needs to be a staffing change or at least better training/oversight.

A few weeks later I get a bill from them for the appointment I never had. I contacted BCBS insurance to let them know and found they had already paid out on the fraudulent claim. After 6 conversations with billing and the Lombard office I am still receiving threatening collection bills! Every phone call its the same thing "I am so sorry you've had these problems I will get this info to a supervisor and they will contact you" 0 for 6 on the contact!! I would think after getting paid on a fraudulent claim there might be some urgency to resolve, but instead they send letters and emails threatening for 47.00 I can't trust this Duly anymore, I sure don't want to put my health in their hands!!!

I saw my doctor on the 16th of September because I'm suffering from severe pain in my right hip…read more After taking X-Rays, it was determined that I need a hip replacement. They gave me a phone number to call to schedule surgery, which I want done a.s.a.p. I called and all you get is voice mail and the message says to leave your information and they will call you back. The message also says to call only once and not call a second time. Today is the 24th of September and still no callback. DULY does not give a damn about patient care, all they care about is cutting corners and making a huge profit. They're the worst medical system in the United States. I have no complaint about the doctors, as they're good, but it's the DULY health system that's rotten. Ever since they took over DuPage Medical, it went downhill fast.
