I am new to the area and needed an electrician to install a new ceiling fan in an area that did not have an existing fixture. After calling several electricians with no return calls, I asked the building superintendent at my co-op if he had any recommendations. He recommended this company. I called James to schedule an estimate. He promptly came to my co-op for an estimate and immediately scheduled a quick installation date. I called and texted several times with questions and he promptly answered my texts and calls. Additionally, I needed to reschedule several times, and he was always willing to reschedule. Yesterday his courteous crew arrived promptly at the scheduled time to install the ceiling fan. They put drop clothes down and cleaned up after the job. Although I have plaster walls which is difficult and messy to work with, they did a fantastic job installing the fan and tried to keep the wall damage from running wires to a minimum. When they installed, I chose a switch that controlled the speed with no need to use the chain to control the speed. After they left, I wasn't sure if the chain worked. I pulled on the chain, and the chain completely broke off. This caused the fan to stop working. I texted James and explained what happened. He explained that I didn't need to use the chain, and should have just used the wall control. Although I caused this issue, he promptly sent back his crew today to fix the issue. We had a wiring issue with our thermostat that we've been dealing with for the entire year that we've been in this home. This fall we dreaded having to turn on the thermostat because we didn't know how it would act. And sure as anything it acted up again. So we were given James's number and when we called him he was bright, easy to talk to, and professional. He came over and it took two days to fix the issue which included re wiring the thermostat.
