My husband contacted them and the owner of the company came to inspect and give a quote for the installation of an outlet to plug in an electric car charger. The quote was more than 50% less than what the other company quoted and he said they could do the job the next day. On the day of service, two workers arrived and the first thing they did was put booties on to protect the floors. They were so efficient, and explained everything they were doing in advance. In the process of preparing to install the new outlet they found an error the previous electricians did and fixed the problem at no extra cost. The job was completed quickly and they even cleaned up the work area before leaving. They were also kind enough to wait about 15 minutes for my husband to get home from work so he could test out the charger and make sure everything was working correctly. I was fine with paying for the work but I wasn't told upon making the appointment that there would be $79 fee for coming to the house. Typically, a charge is made for a visit if you don't hire the company to do the work. I called and spoke to someone from the company who said it would be "waived this time" as I hadn't been told that initially. Interestingly, I realized later that the website says they give free estimates. So they give a free estimate but charge for a visit? Does not make any sense to me. The electrician that did the job was professional, prompt and neat. I was happy with the work done.

Rob is our superhero…read more We requested for the following: - LED Light Strip Kitchen Cabinet installs that included non-conventional LED Light strips used for this kind of work (Philips Hue). - Ceiling Fan install into a large wooden beam with molding details. - Sub Panel install on the second floor (for more of my crazy ideas that I will certainly ask BQ electric to do) - Outlet install in 3 different closets The ceiling fan was an extremely difficult job. They did a good job trying to minimize the damage as much as possible. The damage that was made was promptly fixed. This is the third time we've had them come to the home. I'm writing a review for this particular service call since it was larger than the last service call (thermostat installs). BQ - if you see this - be prepared, I will call you for lighting updates on the outside of the house this time :)

Electricians Vinny and Anthony were personable and answered all our questions. When unexpected issues came up, they presented us with a range of options and didn't pressure us into having any additional work done. They also accommodated an additional small job that popped up unexpectedly. Estimates are done via computer software, so you can expect consistency in pricing - they're not just making up numbers as they go along. Overall, I found them professional, knowledgeable, and reliable and would use them again. Electrical work isn't cheap - especially on Long Island - but I think we made out OK given the quality of the work and the amount of time they spent on the job.
