After 15 years of poor service, its time for share some experiences…read more Last year, I brought in two weedwackers for evaluation and repair in preparation for a big job. Weeks and weeks passed and they never reached out. I want to say maybe 6 weeks. After several calls and requests to get a time frame for the work, they finally told me that one was ruined and they had not gotten to the second one yet. However, I was now out of time and had to purchase a brand new weedwacker from them for the job. I asked what I needed to do for this transaction and they said nothing, the weedwacker was totaled. I bought the new weedwacker because I had no other options. Fast forward a year and they start demanding a $45 processing fee for one of these two machines. I went in to pay it and they left me waiting in the store by myself for 10-15 minutes. I left, came back a week later, and explained how inconvenient the entire process was and suggested we waive the $45 fee. Considering how proactive I have been trying to resolve this, I am very disappointed they insisted on charging me the $45 fee. I always got the vibe that Cecil's Tractors had a preferred clientele and I was not it. I am now convinced they do not want my patronage at all. No loss to me though--the service was always poor and prices very high. I always try to support my local businesses but they couldn't meet me halfway lol.

Eric was suppose to be a certified Westinghouse mechanic. We brought him our generator last year…read moreand he did an ok job of fixing it. There are so few small engine mechanics anymore and we like to get things fixed rather then buy new so when the genie stopped working again we brought him the west house genie and an old chipper that needed some help. We dropped off in January. In late March our spare wedthouse genie also stopped working. So we brought that one to him as well and then expressed the need to have them fixed more quickly. Come mid June I texted Eric several times and then finally left a long voicemail expressing my concern and anger that five months had gone by and he still hadn't fixed anything. We went by his shop/house and our generators were sitting in the yard weeds growing up around them half torn apart. I then had to spend 5 weeks listening to him curse up a storm every time I tried to get our machinery fixed and ready for pickup. He told me that one generator was fixed with a new carburetor and new this and that. We finally get the ok to pick up at the end of July and when we get there the chipper is completely torn apart, one generator is working. We load those and have to ask for the other generator. He said "oh you want that one too?" Om- yeah. He had taken parts from one generator to fix the other instead of getting new parts. I suspect he never called Westinghouse to fix these under the warranty. And I also believe he used parts from our genny to fixed someone else genny. This was beyond unprofessional. Eric is a complete loose canon and I don't even think he knows what he's doing when it comes to fixing things. He destroyed three pieces of machinery and didn't even apologize for he behavior. This guy is a nut. You have been warned.

Paid 60% cash advance on repair price and still have not received tractor. Now that parts are bought and advance is spent, he has changed price and refuses to repair.
