Their agreement was they would 1st camera / scope the vent , 2nd clean the dryer vent, then 3rd camera / scope the dryer vent to ensure it was clear. When he showed up he said his camera was broken from the last job. So I called his dad who runs the company, he was unaware of the issue , so he spoke to his son. Then he got back on the phone with me and said he was ordering a new camera. So I gave him 2 weeks & called he said the camera was being delivered soon & would call to reschedule. subpar service and despite specifically asking if they could clean the outside dryer vent on the third floor of my townhome and they said yes when the tech showed up, he said they would not be able to do that but that he would only need to clean the inside portion of the vent, which was a red flag for me. The cleanings of dryer vent were very short and i question thoroughness. The tech did not seem confident when I questioned him on several things. Just had JAMMS complete my vent dryer cleaning and chimney sweep yesterday. I called them on a Friday afternoon and was told they could service me between 10am - 2pm on Saturday. Average chimney should be checked after 50 uses, but I just go with once a year to be safe. This was my first year with Jamms, and it was a good price, excellent value, and a great job. My dryer stopped working and the error code revealed that my duct was 90% clogged. I came to Yelp, perused reviews, and requested quotes from the top businesses in my area. Man, am I glad I went with Jamms! This review is for dryer duct cleaning service. James was a few minutes early for my appointment. After a thorough assessment of my dryer duct, he talked me thru exactly what he was going to do and how long it would take. He was very patient and answered all of my questions. I inquired about additional services and he was honest in telling me I didn't need them and explained why. After all that, he got to work and finished the job within the estimated time. He went over everything had done so much more than just cleaned my duct. He re-secured my duct to the rear of my dryer, sealed with alumonum tape where it was leaking air, and replaced my self tapping screws with regular ones that lint doesn't get caught on. He cleaned up the lint behind my machine and left the area even cleaner than it was when he arrived. Before leaving, James gave me a recommended cleaning schedule based on the number of loads I average per week. He also recommended that I buy a lint brush and clean where the lint filter goes twice a month. The duct cleaning came with a 60 day warranty and covers any reason I would want Jamms to come out and redo any work. They offer a discount online off the already reasonable price. I just had my dryer vent cleaned by Joseph from Jamms. First off I will say, Joseph certainly represents his company extremely well. He wore a mask and put on feet covers to enter my home. He thoroughly cleaned the vent, not just with compressed air but with wire brushes and pushed out so much stuff, lint and what looked also like a nest. Additionally I had accidentally dropped something down the dryer lint trap and he found that my dryer had signs of burnt lint on the heating element. We had a technician out for a possible dryer vent clog. Upon his inspection he noticed that our dryer vent tubing was too long. He shortened it for us at no charge. He also accessed that our vent wasn't clogged and said it was a probably a faulty sensor on the dryer. We were quoted $125 on the phone. He did not charge us for the visit. Hired Jamms from Groupon for a chimney cleaning. Scheduled time was between 8:30-9:30 for arrival. Our service technician Joseph showed up early and immediately went to work. Joseph was very knowledgeable about our particular pellet stove insert and the type of flue liner we should have. Called JAMMS the day before Thanksgiving. Appointment made for Friday between 8 and 9 am. They showed up exactly at 8. Had an issue with my dryer vent, which tracks up through my attic. They never gave up and eventually had to go in the attic and found a huge clog of wet lint blocking my vent. They were thorough, and cleaned up any mess. Then they went next door and cleaned my neighbors vent. I was so happy with their work that I passed them on to another neighbor. They guarantee their work for sixty days, are polite and friendly. I'm not shy to write a review when I receive terrible service and have made it a point to write a review on JAMMS because of the excellent service I received yesterday. Our washing machine crooked unexpectedly after 8 years and we were forced to purchase a washer and dryer within days. Our new dryer is so high-tech that it notified us that there was a blockage in our dryer vent. We went online (Home Advisor & Tackle & Google) in search of a technician, as we were fearful of a fire starting due to a blocked vent. I e-mailed JAMMS at midnight; the next day we were contacted back (in addition to two other companies) and just by price alone JAMMS was the winner. When we factored in their prompt response, detailed website, availability and knowledge of the work to be accomplished, it was a no brainer. The next day Joseph arrived promptly and explained what would be accomplished. Now keep in mind our laundry room is on the upper level and the ducts run through the attic. Apparently, our ducts had come loose (due to improper installation by the builder 8 years ago) and the insulation around them were acting as a collection port, which was backing up. Needless to say, our attic was quite a mess, but Joseph reconnected the ducts, and cleaned up the mess; he then went behind our dryer and ensured there were no additional blockage. I was most impressed that not only did he go above and beyond for us as a customer, but he left our home just as clean as when he arrived. Additionally, I had a few questions about my electric fireplace and he provided excellent feedback. I cannot say how pleased I am with JAMMS service, I'm beyond impressed and had to write this review immediately. My dryer no longer alerts me of a blockage (so I know he was successful) as we were anxious to finish our 9 loads of laundry waiting. I would highly recommend JAMMS for any of the services they provide, their professionalism is superb and their knowledge is equally as good. To be quite honest for the level of effort provided by JAMMS, I'm shocked I wasn't charged at least twice as much (which I would have gladly paid) based on my observation of the work performed. JAMMS went above and beyond. We knew our dryer vent was clogged but it turns out the previous owner had never cleaned it! JAMMS went through and systematically removed piping from our crawl space and even replaced the screws with tape so that it wouldn't clog as easily next time. Then he replaced the taping that I had done connecting the dryer to the wall with better fittings. On top of all of that they gave us a great discount. My dryer was declared beyond repair and the technician recommended I have my vent cleaned before installation of my new dryer. I called Jamms and they were able to come out quickly and gave me a one hour window for the appointment. Joseph arrived right on time and did an excellent job. I had this service in the past but they never went up to my attic and cleaned all the way to the roof vent. Joseph discovered a fire code violation which was not allowing my dryer to vent properly. He cleaned out the bird caging and removed the screen covering the roof vent which was causing the problem. I was very lucky I did not have a house fire. You could see that a fire had started a couple of times. I highly recommend Jamms.
