I'm so sorry...that I have to give this "surgeon" one star. There really should be an option to withhold that undeserved rating point. This pathetic excuse for a practitioner strung me along for the better part of a decade. He never showed up for appointments, instead sending unqualified PAs in his place to deliver advice that was not very helpful. He finally appeared from the shadows last summer, scheduled me for surgery on 7/1/25. I did everything he asked to be ready, went to every doctor with whom he shared the bounty of my insurance payments and co-pays. His lackeys told me all month, and the months prior that all was good...even days before the procedure was to take place. I literally jumped through every hoop. But in the end I should have known...I should have worn my Charlie Brown zigzag shirt and football helmet. Because this (@#$%&) pulled that football away just 21 hours before. And like the Wizard of Oz himself, he told me to comeback when I lose 50 pounds (and probably would not need surgery); and this after I already lost the 25 pounds that he and his flying monkeys told me to lose to qualify. I had a total Knee replacement . I walked with a cane in 4 days, I walked into P.T. With a cane after 10 days. after 17 days I walked into PT. with no cane. I drove in 4 weeks and bowled in 5. I found Jim to be a really qualified PA. I asked around before my surgery and Dr. Koenig name came up over and over. Oh. some will give a low rating but thats all spite for unknown reasons. Dr. Koenig office is the most unprofessional experience I have ever witnessed In My life. His PA James openly told my father "there is nothing anyone can do!!!" Offering no hope or treatment for his issues with his debilitating pain. I had to offer the question "what about PT" and met with a response " oh like go??" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! No hope or treatment offer and sent away welling up with thoughts of living with no hope. A DR's job is to always offer, research, try and give some hope to the patients not see them live in excruciating pain with nothing to live for. For the first time in my life I saw my father upset too the point of tears. I made one phone call to a family friend whom is a orthopedic surgeon whom is taking my dads case. Thank you god.. but, 25 years myself of being a EMT-CC and in the medical field I promise from this day fourth to make my voice heard the experience and what I witnessed today so it never happens to anyone ever again.
