COMPLETELY overpriced, the tapioca was like overcooked/burnt? Tea had barely any flavor. The longest wait and it was not busy.

Cute little shop but the taro I got was quite flavorless, but the tapioca was on point. Very friendly staff and great ambiance

There are lots of drinks on the menu and most of them can be made with non-dairy milk and with the sweetness and ice levels adjusted. I had no choice but to visit them during BU move-in weekend which was the only weekend I was in Vestal and it was, as I expected, very busy. I don't usually like to order online but I did this time to save some time and that was definitely a smart move because the line was very long. I was frustrated though because I saw what I was pretty sure was my drink get prepared and set on the counter and then sit there for like 5 minutes because there was no one attending to the online order drinks. When someone made a drink for a customer that had ordered in person they would hand that drink to the customer and then immediately run back to making the next order so I couldn't ask anyone because they were always busy. I mean, it's fair that they were working hard to keep up with orders but I just wanted someone to take 5 seconds to hand me my drink.

I'll admit, when I realized it was a chain restaurant, I wasn't expecting to be quite as impressed as I was. But Taichi completely exceeded our expectations. Our party of four all created our own poke bowls, and wow, did they hit the spot. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the portions were huge, and every bowl was packed with flavor. We all agreed these were some of the best poke bowls, be it spicy salmon, spicy tuna, or chicken, that we've ever had. One thing we especially appreciated was that Taichi doesn't nickel-and-dime you on toppings. Aside from extra protein, there are no upcharges for vegetables, toppings, or dressings. You can customize your bowl exactly how you want it and load it up with as many fresh ingredients as you'd like.

After conquering Watkins Glen's stairmaster-in-disguise trails, we were ravishing (yes, that's one…read morestep past "starving") and pulled into the first place that looked decent from the road. Tai Chi Bubble Tea turned out to be a jackpot find. From the outside, it looks like a modest little spot, but inside--bam!--bowls of ramen and poke so good you forget you were about to gnaw on your hiking boots. The ramen was flavorful, generous, and came out steaming like a reward for our sore legs. The poke was fresh and colorful enough to make us feel slightly healthy despite the fact we immediately ordered giant bubble teas to wash it down. The place is simple, neat, and spotless (always a good sign when you're about to eat raw fish), and the staff was warm, friendly, and patient with our post-hike indecisiveness. Portions were big enough that we waddled straight to our motel afterward, bellies happily overfilled and ready to carb-load for day two on the trails. In short: Tai Chi Bubble Tea is the kind of surprise you hope for on a road trip--affordable, tasty, and just quirky enough to become part of the memory. Ramen, poke, and bubble tea? Yes, please.
