I have to say the bagels are great, HOWEVER I hate the coffee, its very weak and tastes watered down bad. I wasng hapoy with my bave this morning, the lady just kind of threw it together, it was very sloppy and thats not my normal. The decor is wonderful, i love looking at all the different things, but they are definately more focused on talking to people they know than taking orders and running the business as if should be ran. Also it seema like if they dont know you, they have an attitude with you like u arent welcome. They also dont answer the phones at all. I will still eat their bagels, only if i dont have another one that is thrown together. I can overlook the tudes if they get their crap together. read more

Came here on a Friday morning and there were barely any people in line so we assumed service would be quick...well. The lady running the cash register was more focused on drink making then taking our order which mind you, is fair since it seemed like she was the only one making drinks too. However, she went so slow to make other drinks since she started to chat up a regular. Again, not the worst thing but you should still move a little quicker for a morning coffee shop. When we placed our order, we had to wait awhile since the chatting continued and honestly, I had no idea why it would take so long to pull one or two shots of espresso and froth milk but ten plus minutes later and damn. The latte was utter undrinkable. The milk tasted off and it was barely frothed. It had the flavor of a wet dishcloth that sat around for too long. The espresso had no flavor either and it was just hot water. The nitro cold brew tasted a bit better but honestly, I've had better on tap. I give it a two stars because the decor was cute. I heard a dog bark around where the food items were which was off putting to me so I refrained from ordering food so I cannot comment on that. I mean unless you're a local, you probably can skip out of this place if you want a decent drink. read more

The Grumpy Grizzly is a great alternative to same old Dunkin'/McDonalds routine. The storefront and interior is very well done with lots of handmade arts and crafts to look at. They have a great assortment of coffees, bagels and spreads which can quickly become overwhelming for some. I really would have liked to see a bigger menu posted on a board above the counter with more simple option and pricing (similar to the Angry Burrito). The breakfast sandwiches are set up to be build-your-own, with a majority of the toppings being 60₵ additional. The staff were polite and attentive but unfortunately not very helpful. They simply direct you to the menu and wait for you to work your way through it. Which can be painfully daunting when the barista and other customers are waiting for you to make up your mind on what to order. I would highly recommend that customers check the menu before arriving in order to save time. All in all this is a great little coffee and breakfast food shop that I believe has a lot of potential. I would definitely recommend adding some coffee house music ambiance and possibly a mobile ordering platform. I look forward to having breakfast here again. read more
