Top 10 issues: Late to the scheduled appointment: My tenant waited for the confirmed 4:00 PM appointment, and the locksmith acknowledged being approximately 25-30 minutes late. Argumentative instead of apologetic: When I raised the lateness, the technician argued with me and actually stated that essentially nobody in Indianapolis arrives on time for service appointments. Inconsistent pricing: I was initially told the job would be "about $100," then approximately $150 was discussed once the technician arrived.. then the Initial invoice was $200: Despite those earlier price discussions, the first payment request I received was for $200, which I immediately disputed. Aggressive billing dispute: Rather than professionally resolving the pricing issue, the technician argued and demanded immediate payment. The invoice was ultimately corrected to $100, which I paid immediately. Tried to involve my tenant in payment: I had explicitly told the technician that I was paying, yet my tenant reported that he confronted her about payment anyway. Inappropriate behavior inside her home: My tenant immediately called me afterward and reported that the technician was rude, asked for her personal phone, and was "screaming and hollering" inside the residence. I had to intervene to get her keys returned, I contacted the locksmith and demanded that the keys be returned. He eventually came back, and my tenant recovered them. She told me the incident was embarrassing enough that neighbors had come outside and were watching. Constant boasting instead of customer service: He repeatedly referenced being the "best company in town," 1,300+ Google reviews, BBB accreditation, and veteran status while arguing with me. To be very clear, this is not a complaint from someone refusing to pay. The corrected $100 invoice was paid and payment was confirmed. My issue is the lateness, contradictory pricing, argumentative communication, and especially how my tenant reported being treated inside her own home. Traffic happens. Scheduling issues happen. Even pricing disagreements happen. Professional companies resolve those problems without escalating them or involving and intimidating a tenant who is not responsible for the bill. One star.
