I ordered a jacket there on 7/2/24 and was told it would take 8 weeks to ship. It's now 11/7 and I have been waiting 19 weeks for this jacket to come in. During that time I sent 15 emails with almost no response, only getting a response when I figured out who the ex-CEO was and asked him for contact info directly. Even then, there was literally no apology or acknowledgment of the extreme lack of communication or the delay and all they said was "it will take a bit longer" - no other details. I still have no idea when this jacket will come in. They make cool things but I would be VERY careful about ordering anything there with any sort of build time listed. I'm writing on behalf of my boyfriend, who frequently visits your shop and loves the clothing and the overall vibe. However, our recent visits have been a bit disappointing due to the chaos inside. The last couple of weekends, we came by for coffee and a relaxed shopping experience, but it was hard to enjoy with kids running around, drawing on things, and screaming, while the owner seemed to be more focused on chatting up front with his buddies than managing the environment. We were trying to try on jackets and pants, but it was difficult to concentrate with toys scattered everywhere and kids playing even in the fitting rooms. For a shop where people are spending over $500 on items, you expect a certain level of atmosphere and customer experience. While the clothing is great, it's often out of stock or on pre-order, which we understand, but waiting months for items can be frustrating The staff, who are generally wonderful, seemed understandably distracted and a bit drained by the chaos. We really hope the shop can get things back in order, this place is one of the last truly unique shops in Williamsburg, and we'd love to keep coming back read more

Terrible company, terrible owners. I bought a DRIGGS WAXED CANVAS FIELD TAN RIDING JACKET for $550 and am located in Los Angeles, they're in NYC. Almost immediately after I received my jacket, I emailed them concerned about the small grade of the zipper used on the jacket and it was having problems sticking. I sent the jacket back at my own shipping expense and when they received it, they gave me some crap about not being able to take it back and that I should be lucky they wouldn't charge me for return shipping. How kind of them. This was in 2019. Fast forward to today and three years of the zipper sticking, the zipper finally fell apart and broke in 2022. I reached out to Jane AGAIN about the zipper and asked them to fix or replace the zipper and they insisted I get it fixed locally and they'd reimburse me, so nice of them to put me to work. After taking it to FIVE different tailors, I found one who would replace it for $50. Makes sense as it took several hours of labor to take apart the old zipper and sew in a new one. The super generous folks at Jane offered to reimburse me $20 for the $50 (with a receipt) I spent. I would have rather mailed it to them to fix it. It's now been weeks since I paid to have the zipper replaced and many, many unreturned emails to Jane, they have yet to send me the $20 they promised. I hope this owner loses his company for just being a rotten person. Look at the other reviews on their business, esecially where another customer had to take them to court to get a refund and they apparently still didn't pay. Is anyone surprised? Will update this review if they actually come through with the $20 they promised me. read more

The shop is cool, clean, tasteful. Locally designed and made motorcycle clothes are overpriced but nice. I would never buy a jacket here simply because there are much nicer jackets you can buy for similar price from else where. The guy at the coffee counter was nice and easy to talk to, but didn't want to give me my change by asking if I wanted my change. I don't care about the change, but it was unprofessional. The sales person in the retail section acts like he just got out of high school. He answered my question when I asked how much a jacket was, but the way he said it sounded like I never spend 500 bucks in my life. He spend the rest of the time trying to look cool walking around the shop. I would probably go back to get a coffee and meet up with people for rides, but probably would never buy anything from this place. read more

This place has everything I love: Motorcycles and coffee! What a nice looking space, they really invested the time and effort to make a futuristic looking spot. There is a garage door to open during sunny days and it gives the space a nice feel. The gear, I didn't really look. I walked in the back and saw motorcycle helmets, jackets, jeans and gloves. If your a hipster, never owned a motorcycle and want to look the part? Come here to shop. There is no way I'd wear expensive japanese selvedge jeans riding a motorcycle. When it rains and your wearing these jeans, I don't want to tell you the feeling of cold, wet denim with raindrops hitting your legs at 55mph. Let's talk coffee! Locally sourced and roasted beans straight outta Brooklyn. Our barista made a perfect cuppa coffee. I ordered a flat white and it was just spot on. I told my wife about the deal: Buy a motorcycle and get a free cuppa coffee. So Jane? You rock in my book! read more

Very modern sleek interior and beautiful motorcycles exposed, cafe racer style hybrids with classic look and some modern components. Plenty of seating inside and a great espresso counter! Perfect for a coffee in a perfect moto surroundings. Very helpful owner. They have selection of motorcycle wear, like jackets, cool jeans and tees. Also a great selection of Bell helmets! The infamous Yamaha XS 650 that you are on google, Instagram built by these guys, is on display at their store. Ordered a cold brew to start a day and met another couple there that later we connected via social media. I'm definitely gonna make it a priority to a buy a t-shirt and sweater next time. What's also cool is they offer CBD drops if requested for your coffee. Lucky for me I live in Cali, so I wasn't really craving it at the time. BUT when I saw that, I felt a lot better coming to the cafe. If I ever plan to do a road trip on my XS 650 to the east coast, definitely gonna stop by here again. read more

Poor service.Very unwelcoming. I walked in with my 2 yr old to buy pastries. The tall, mustached, possibly French staffer gave me a look like I had awakened him from a nap. I asked for 2 items and he abruptly told me that they have only one. Nonetheless I purchased 3 items and was about to pay with cash. He abruptly told me that they accept cash only. I told him my father in law (a life long motorcycle rider) visited the store about 2 years ago and had a bad experience. I can begin to see why. When I asked him why don't they accept cash, he said they actually do accept cash, he just didn't have change (he showed me the draw and I saw 1s and 5s). Nonetheless I paid via card, tipped 15% and left with a smile. I believe in supporting local businesses but I feel the need to share my experience with the hope Jane will improve. Maybe he was having a bad Saturday morning and dislikes buff dads with cute 2 year olds! Lol! read more

Needed to split shipping for the return, but generally just didn't feel like I wanted to do business with the brand. Tried to return the gift fully so I didn't have to own a jacket from them... but looks like I'm stuck with it. Again make sure you really really want something from them before you buy. In general I'd stay away they don't seem to give too many cares about the customer. One of my favorite spots in Williamsburg! Great vibes and even better coffee/pastries. I find myself coming here almost every weekend. Their new bacon egg and cheese is definitely a step up from your regular bodega sandwich. Staff is kind in a no bs kind of way that you would expect from a motorcycle coffee shop, and I always feel welcome. You can find the owner and his family there frequently which shows the level of care and investment they have in the business. Always a great crowd, 10/10! read more

Ordered and paid for a helmet two weeks ago and was told it will be delivered in two days. Followed up after a week and they promised they will order straight away. Came back today and was told that it still wasn't ordered. I'd rather pay the $15 delivery fee now and order directly from the manufacturer instead of not having a helmet for another 2 weeks. UPDATE: The guys really came through and made up for the experience. They ordered the helmet again, gave me a call that it is there and showed me some local motorcycle routes. I wanted to be excited about this brick and mortar moto themed boys club but ended up having a terrible experience that has left me emotionally scarred even to this day. The saga began when I purchased a jacket from this store. I didn't end up liking the jacket and wanted to return it. The moment I wanted to make a return the proprietors of Jane began their abusive treatment of me. Even though I implored them to give me a full refund because I lived in Los Angeles and it was extremely inconvenient to have such a large amount of store credit at a boutique shop, they insisted that was the best they could do. I bought a helmet at the time the credit was issued and returned a year later to use the rest of my credit; some 500 USD. They informed me that their computer system would not allow me to use my credit because I had a time limit to use my credit. I was never informed of this nor did the email they sent me with the link to the credit say anything about time limits. In fact it is ILLEGAL to simply keep credit like this. At this point they began to treat me with so much attitude and disrespect that I began communication through my attorney. Whenever my attorney contacted them they would talk trash about me to my attorney. I eventually took them to small claims court, which they did not show up for. The judges comment, when he ruled in my favor was, "these guys are still in business?" I almost had to call the Sheriff on them because they still refused to pay me even though they were ordered to by a small claims court. I was never anything but understanding, patient, and respectful when dealing with them in person. Even though I got my money, it literally took years to do so. I have never been treated like this by a professional establishment . . . it was down right abusive. I can't even walk on that street without a little PTSD. So if you're thinking of checking this place out, just remember what they did to one of their costumers. read more

This review is based on online purchase, not in-store experience- I was given a gift certificate for Jane Motorcycles on Christmas, and placed an order for a long sleeved shirt. 2 1/2 weeks passed, no shirt. I called and was told that they were out of the shirt that I ordered. They never bothered to contact me to let me know that it wasn't coming. She said that she was sorry and would expedite the shipping of a comparable shirt. Another week passes, no shirt. I call again and am told that they don't have THAT shirt in stock either. (Why would they take my order for a shirt they didn't have?) They simply didn't bother to tell me, AGAIN! Additionally, she tried to pass the buck and said that I must have spoken to someone else.... It most definitely was her. After choosing what is now my 3rd shirt option, I was told that it would be sent today (not expedited). At this point, I have little faith. It appears to me that because this was a gift-certificate order, they act as they already had the money and couldn't care less about customer satisfaction. Their new XXL space is sick and built up beautifully. Well stocked with high-end riding and lifestyle gear that doesn't make you look like a power ranger or a pirate of the caribbean. Just a classy selection of goods ranging across: steve mcqueen-old english hunting / cafe racer leather / workman heavy weight canvas / japanese selvedge / high technical riding apparel, as well as quality parts & accessories to bespoke your bike with that won't rattle off 3 blocks down the road. Their coffee is strong as usual, and unlike their old location there is always motorcycle parking out front...and they have Meat Hook sandwiches now. Hit'em up and hang out. read more

Definitely a cool place to check out. It has motorcycles and coffee. Can't speak for the motorcycles or the gear here but the coffee was only okay, it was luke warm even from the moment I got the cup. There's only one person (the barista) working the entire shop on a Sunday afternoon. Although it wasn't busy, I can't imagine how business would run if more people were in the shop, for coffee or for products. I do love the decor of the place though. Cool motorcycles and gadgets. They put serious time and effort into working with me to get my issue resolved (it was, and I love the addition to my moto). I've always admired Jane for their aesthetic -- the space and the motos. I loved their previous spot and their new shop is even better. The owner's are very cool people and you always get to look at super cool bikes. Most weekends, bunch of bikers gather in front of this place and just hang out. This place has a cool concept. Coffee shop/moto shop. Awesome! The chicken sandwich that they have, although expensive, is INCREDIBLY good and so worth it. Their coffee is pretty good as well. Cool to sit at the tables and chat while surrounded by bikes. They have quite a bit of nice gear but the one thing that really turns me off about this place is the customer service. The baristas are nice but when it comes to gear, no one could care less about you. I've never once been asked if I needed a size or any help at all. I don't need my ass kissed but it would be nice to know that someone could get your size if you needed it. From out of town, we took the L from Manhattan walked about 1 mile maybe a little more to make it there in time. We arrived 40-30 minutes early and dude said he was closing early. Then I asked weren't they open till 7 and apparently his boss told him he could close early or something(on a Saturday). Just seems you should stick to what you advertise instead of wasting people's time. Place seems gimmicky anyway. Doubt anyone in there knew anything about motorcycles. From the look of it they bought a few and then put them on display to sell coffee and clothes. Poor business model. read more
