This place has gone downhill. I'm sorry to say that I won't come back. I used to really enjoy the chili cheese fries here back in the day!! I miss the old fries, taste etc. I paid $10.00 for those and it was not worth it. Such a shame. It was gloopy soup in a small box with super soggy fries that were not crispy. I would not recommend.

Okay all I have to say is I had the freshest and most perfect corn dog from here and eating it by the beach just made it 10 times better. 10/10

When you're drunk af and want a light snack you really can't go wrong with any of the food here . Always get the corn dog or frozen bananas!

There is nostalgia in this space. Jane's has been a family staple since...forever...and I'm over 50 :) Today I got some bad news...and Jane's Corn dogs at Newport Pier was just what I needed to go back to better days and smile. Delicious corn dogs and tart & cold lemonade. Thanks for always being here Jane

BEST PLACE TO STOP AFTER A DAY AT THE BEACH. been coming here for years and they never disappoint. the food just hits after the beach. my favorite things are the cheese of a stick ( american ) chilie cheese fries and the corn dogs. their lemonade is so good as well.

Best corn dog ever... here's why: I've been coming here since high school, so this place has been around for a long time and it's still one of my favorite quick stops in Newport. Look at the pictures. This corn dog comes out perfectly golden brown with that deep fried batter all the way around. When you bite into it the outside has that crisp crunch, but the inside is soft and fluffy like fresh cornmeal batter should be. The hot dog in the middle is juicy and cooked just right, and the whole thing is big too, not one of those skinny little ones you get at other places. If you want to dress it up, they've got a little condiment station where you can load it up however you want. Ketchup, relish, mustard, onions, jalapeños, different spices, all that kind of stuff. What I also like about this place is they've got everything. hot dogs, funnel cakes, banana splits, all the classic snack stand stuff. Perfect spot when you're walking around Newport and want something quick that actually tastes great. If you're in Newport Beach and craving a real old school corn dog, this place is hard to beat.

This place is a relic from the past and it's positively adorable! I was craving a chocolate covered banana and they have so many fattening treats here! If you want to eat healthy, they have popcorn! I'm sure it's more fun in the summertime. It's super cool and retro.

I crave Jane's chili fries and it always hits the spot so yummy! 10/10. Id try other food on the menu next time I'm in the area

Not worth $5 for a microwave corn dog. Also, the discrimination was sickening. For one, there were no signs saying cash only. And we noticed people prior to and after us paying with card/tap. they clearly have a debit machine that says they take square, both at the register and outside in the door. but after we ordered, after we got our food, for us, the cashier said cash only. We had to go to the ATM outside to get cash out. When asked why the people before us paid with their card, he said "no, for YOU, cash". & continued to ignore our questions for his reasoning. Not sure what his reason was to single us out, but that mixed with the terrible customer service. For food that was not worth it. Would not spend my money here again.

If you don't want to wait for that long line across the street for a ham and cheese croissant, then you should go to Jane's Corndog. The corn dogs and cheese sticks are amazing and always prepared on order.

[Parking]: $15 per vehicle for on-site parking just to enter the OC Fair & Event Center. [Admission]: Our party purchased the same-day tickets and paid a $16 per person entry fee. [What to expect]: The market was approximately half food vendors and half arts / crafts / gift vendors. There were solid craft and gift vendors, but not too many art vendors. The food was extremely overpriced ... a simple appetizer = at least $15+ & a filling meal = at least $25. The only real positive? There was a mahjong area that offered free lessons. The performance stage was alright. [Food]: Our party ended up getting only 6 pieces of soup dumplings (aka XLB) from Dumpling Dream for $14 and a cup of gelatea from Boutcha for $7.20 (one of the most affordable and best item to get at the market). [Conclusion]: If I ever come back to 626 Night Market, I would probably stick with the Arcadia location as parking is free and the admission fee is slightly cheaper. I am still having a hard time digesting the fact that getting into the market cost $30+ before even buying any food if I come here alone and I would also need to spend another $25+ just to feel like I had eaten a legit meal. I am good with this one-and-done visit.

Because Dwight's is still closed I stopped by here a few weeks ago craving "Strips & Cheese" The girl at the counter told me they were out of cheese. WHAT!! That's a first for me! OK so not cheese so I guess no Strips and Cheese! The girl at the counter was clueless, I even asked her if the owner was in and she said no, then I asked if the owner was aware that they didn't have any cheese because I have met the owner several times and I know that he would fix this situation right away. The girl at the counter just shrugged her shoulders and said nothing. Yesterday, the wife and kids went to the beach and again we stoped in for some strips. There was no line to order but there were 5 or 6 unhappy people waiting for their food. 25 minutes later we got our food while we watched a girl texting on her phone while food sat under the heat lamps. I asked the girl for an extra strips sauce and some BBQ sauce for my kids chicken fingers. The girl brought me a cup of salsa, like she filled up a Coca-Cola cup to the rim with the dipping sauce and then said they were out of barbecue sauce and all they had left was one side of ranch. Me and another customer looked at each other and then started talking about how bad the service. That other customer told me that Jack's lost their lease and that this was the last summer that this place was going to be here. I asked the employee about it and she confirmed it. It's kinda like this place it's just going downhill because why offer good service when the restaurants is closing in a few weeks. The whole situation was very sad because I remember old man Dwight, his son Jack who is now I think 90 years old is someone I've known since I was literally like five years old and then watching his son and his grandson run this particular store and now watching it fall apart again makes me kind of sad . What a mess !

Just Hot Dogs is basically a little walk-up shack with a drive-through that's been sitting in the same parking lot forever. Businesses around it have come and gone, but this place is still standing. It's a true little mom-and-pop type of spot. I think it's a couple running it, and every time I've been here they've been really nice. More importantly, the food has stayed consistent. They're known for their Chicago-style hot dogs with the poppy seed buns, but they have quite a bit more than just hot dogs. I've tried the roast beef, which comes with the dip, and their fries are really good. They taste like they're made fresh and I'm pretty sure they're hand-cut. They also have things like chocolate-covered bananas and Balboa bars. I got a chocolate-covered banana this time, they asked if I wanted nuts, wrapped it up in foil and had it ready to go. One little thing I really appreciated was that when I told them some of my order was to-go, they actually asked when I wanted them to make it so it wouldn't sit around and get soggy. It's such a small thing, but that's the kind of care you get at places like this. I've been here a few times now, and the quality has always been consistent. The prices are also really reasonable, which feels harder and harder to find nowadays. It has that old-school neighborhood donut-shop kind of feeling where you recognize that it's just a couple of people running their little business and doing their thing. I hope they stay around for a long time. Places like this are getting harder to find, and I'd much rather spend my money here than at another chain.

The order process was pretty simple -- I responded to their Instagram story and they reached out with follow-up questions, menu options, and pickup details. The pickup was from a home residence in the city of Garden Grove (off of Brookhurst Street and Hazard Avenue), nearby Pho 79 if you're familiar with the area. The exact address is provided with your order! The owner, Aamir, was very friendly and professional when I picked up my food and the burgers were packaged very neatly in separate boxes. I ordered two smash burgers that included three patties each, which cost $15 per burger. They included caramelized onions and jalapenos, which were a delightful surprise. The patties were a little salty, but upon reading the other reviews, I see that the owner pre-marinates the patty meat. The prices were also steep for just the burger, and I thought my order would come with fries on the side, but that doesn't take away from the quality of the food. All in all, I would return for future orders and would love to see them open a brick-and-mortar restaurant someday, ideally in Garden Grove still. 10/10 rating and five stars all around for a seamless ordering experience, delicious food, and timeless customer service.

The owner is super responsive, and you can tell he wants to provide the best service possible. During this special pop-up event, they were serving two's a tango that features their warm brioche bun along with two halal patties smashed with cheese and carmelized onions on top. The burger itself was massive, with one being more than enough to feed a hungry person. After talking to the owner, he mentioned he pre-marinates his meat, so that could be the reason why the taste was a little salty for us. The sauce is awesome and complimentary, so when ordering, if you don't plan on eating the burger right away, to prevent sogginess, ask for extra on the side. I know some people prefer the meatiness, but I am a sauce type of girl. Overall, the flavors of the burger meshed well! Thank you for adding another place for halal goodness.
