I've been interested in trying Smash N' Sizzle for awhile now, and my schedule has finally aligned with one of their pre-order windows this afternoon! The order process was pretty simple -- I responded to their Instagram story and they reached out with follow-up questions, menu options, and pickup details. The pickup was from a home residence in the city of Garden Grove (off of Brookhurst Street and Hazard Avenue), nearby Pho 79 if you're familiar with the area. The exact address is provided with your order! The owner, Aamir, was very friendly and professional when I picked up my food and the burgers were packaged very neatly in separate boxes. I ordered two smash burgers that included three patties each, which cost $15 per burger. They included caramelized onions and jalapenos, which were a delightful surprise. The patties were a little salty, but upon reading the other reviews, I see that the owner pre-marinates the patty meat. The prices were also steep for just the burger, and I thought my order would come with fries on the side, but that doesn't take away from the quality of the food. All in all, I would return for future orders and would love to see them open a brick-and-mortar restaurant someday, ideally in Garden Grove still. 10/10 rating and five stars all around for a seamless ordering experience, delicious food, and timeless customer service. read more

We tried them out for their pop-up on Friday night. The order processing and pickup/payment were super fast and easy. The owner is super responsive, and you can tell he wants to provide the best service possible. During this special pop-up event, they were serving two's a tango that features their warm brioche bun along with two halal patties smashed with cheese and carmelized onions on top. The burger itself was massive, with one being more than enough to feed a hungry person. After talking to the owner, he mentioned he pre-marinates his meat, so that could be the reason why the taste was a little salty for us. The sauce is awesome and complimentary, so when ordering, if you don't plan on eating the burger right away, to prevent sogginess, ask for extra on the side. I know some people prefer the meatiness, but I am a sauce type of girl. Overall, the flavors of the burger meshed well! Thank you for adding another place for halal goodness. I got two 2x patty burgers $13 each Ordered thru their ig; good communication Pick up from a house I've had every smash burger in California The best is BNSD which I'd give a 9.7/10 This, with the carmelized onions, jalapeno and spread sauce, is a completely different experience. Flavor is intense and spicy. It's also the only one they have. So if you are looking for this flavor profile I would say it is very good. The meat had a little skirt although not Lacey like BNSD. I have sensitive teeth so some bites were a little tough for me. All things considered I give it a 8.7 for the strength of flavor, didn't feel it was salty like other mentioned. Definitely picked up fragrant citrus notes from the spices used. Considering the very limited smashburger options in OC I would say this is almost must try for aficionados of the genre. If they added a side of tater tots or fries and their sizzle size to dip I think that would bang. read more

We ordered: - "Two to Tango" (double patty) = $13 - "Three's a Party" (3 patties) = $15, - "The Four the Merrier" (4 patties) = $17 They have a special sauce that is rly good, kind of like in-n-out spread sauce but more flavorful! In the burgers, they included jalapeños and caramelized onions but you can definitely request it without! The buns were toasted and perfect to our liking. The service was nice and quick, it was picked up at a house. I hit them up on instagram and they responded in less than 5 minutes. They do prefer pre-orders so make sure y'all either call ahead or dm them on ig! They also accept cash, venmo, or Zelle. Had the smash burgers recently and was thoroughly impressed. The patties had crispy meat lacing around the edges. Sauce was well balanced with the seasonings in the patty. They did a really nice touch with the sauce being a bit more on the savory side than sweet and the jalepenos were the perfect spicy touch. super solid burgers!! you DM on instagram or call the number to order and Aamir is really helpful. he asks if you want jalapeños on the burger and then gives you great updates along with the address for pickup in garden grove. i got two patties, but honestly i would get 3-4 patties next time to feel more satisfied. 2 patties in a burger is $13, 3 is $15, and 4 is $17, paying +$2 makes it a meal which includes chips and water/soda. the burger itself is SO fresh, flavorful without being overly salty, and the secret sauce and caramelized onions were divine. the bun was super soft and pillowy :) it feels really light to eat! i love that they don't overload the burger with cheese, and the meat itself is halal. i feel way better after eating and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients along with how well everything is cooked! this really hit the spot especially after trying to find a better and local alternative to in n out. they also donate a part of their proceeds to gaza relief, which is AMAZING. super friendly service, i'm definitely going to go here whenever i'm craving a burger :) read more

Let me tell you the only reason I'm giving them a one star because it doesn't explain how the process with them works. Maybe I wasn't aware that it's not only physical business here. After I supposedly arrived and saw houses around that's when I went into the reviews in detail and saw that you have to order ahead and then the correct address will be privided. Searching through Yelp for a great burger and came across Smash N' Sizzle. From the reviews and pictures I was intrigued. Because they aren't a "Brick and Mortar" restaurant, you'll have to call your order in and see where you need to pick up your food, which is local to the Garden Grove area. I called and spoke to Aamir who took my order and had my food ready in 20 minutes. Even when they don't have their food truck out they are still making things happen. I placed an advanced order for the first time a few days ago and I am SO happy I did. These burgers are exactly what our community had been missing! There is no comparison! Each and every detail of my order (and burger) was sooo easy and perfect. From placing a quick large order through their online form, to communicating exact pick up timings and add ons, to unwrapping, and finally devouring! I ordered 10 burgers for an informal family dinner and planned for everyone to eat half since these are large buns & double patties.
