Corporate America has taken over the medical field and it is not in the best interest of the consumer. You feel rushed when you can get an appointment. A huge group like the one at Deane hill/Northshore only has 3 doctors on staff this week. That is extremely poor scheduling and time management. And it's not like you can find any doctor in town that isn't part of a huge corporation anymore.

Everyone we met explained everything they were doing and why, and patiently answered all our questions. Yes the ER was crowded and the wait to see him long, but that was a small price to pay for him ultimately leaving the hospital healthy again a week later.

I brought my 2 month old baby in for a potential sty on her eye, they did an eye exam & dilated her…read moreeyes. they ultimately decided it was a hemangioma & that she would need to start a blood pressure medicine & informed me that she will need to have bp checks done either by her primary care or a cardiologist- i reached out to her primary care after the appointment to help speed up the process (which Dr. O'brien recommended me to do). Dr. O'brien has stated to her primary care's nurse that "i jumped the gun" & then proceeded to never prescribe her medicine, nor return any phone calls to her primary care, her cardiologist, or me regarding continuation of her care/treatment. we have since went to a different ophthalmologist. i am extremely disappointed in the care my child received as it is completely unacceptable to go ghost on your patients & their needs. i would not recommend this practice to ANYONE, as they clearly do not provide adequate care for their patients.

I have not needed my primary Dr. Jackson in close to 3 summers while here, although have seen several orthopedic Doctors, GI and cardiologist. I returned to the area for the summer and soon became quite ill. I called Dr Jackson's office to get in to see her for what I thought might be bought of Acute Diverticulitis. The woman that answered the phone said that since I had not seen Dr. Jackson in close to 3 yrs. I was no longer her patient and would need to be seen as a new patient! The woman said she would talk to Dr. Jackson and call right back. About 4 hrs. later we called again and a different woman answered and in describing the earlier call she also said she would talk with the Dr. and call right back. Meanwhile, I was in terrible pain for that whole period. I never did get a call back and still have not 1 week later. I went to the ER in Lenoir City and was diagnosed with Acute Diverticulitis as suspected. I think Dr Jackson and her staff dropped to ball are unprofessional and obviously did not care about all the years I saw her. Pretty sad!
