WARNING - BEWARE! We had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience here. If you're considering getting your hair done--or anything else--stay far, far away from this salon. The owners have zero sense of professionalism. Frankly, it's a miracle they're still in business. We booked multiple hair appointments months in advance for a wedding, with several confirmations leading up to the big day. And yet, on the morning of the appointments, the salon was closed. No warning, no notice. When we called, we discovered the reason: the manager simply forgot our appointments and never showed up--appointments they knew were for a wedding! I have never witnessed such a blatant display of incompetence from any so-called professional. Do yourself a favor: NEVER come here. Avoid at all costs. Due to a miracle we were able to book appointments somewhere else last minute. You live and you learn. Very happy with Janet's' salon services! I got single process with toner for my summer partial highlights and came out exactly how I expected. I returned few days later for wash and blow dry but I decided for a long bob haircut too. Super easy to make an appointment. Prices are estimated. Coming from California I did not expect how much a wash, haircut and blow dry were at this location. I assumed 80 dollars in cash and 20 dollar tip would work. When the appointment was confirmed it told me cash only. When I arrived the lady was nice and did my hair. I asked for specific bangs and she tried her best. After the third attempt I told her they were fine. She told me it was 100 dollars so I paid and left. My bangs are uneven with strands longer in some areas. As well as the actually bangs are uneven in the middle. I usually start with a hair cut when I first try a place. I have been going to Janeth's Salon nearly every week for over 5 years for hair care and facials. I knew the first time I walked in that I had found a gem. Courteous, respectful, peaceful and great at what they do. The best recommendation is when friends and strangers compliment me and ask where I get my hair done. Janeth even helped me transition when I decided to stop coloring my hair to embrace my gray hair and it is beautiful. She is an artist. I'm very sensitive when it comes to people washing and brushing my hair, but this salon was extremely gentle! I dropped by on a whim one day and they were able to accommodate me. I had no idea what style I preferred, only that I wanted to donate my hair. The staff researched how to properly donate hair and helped me save my ponytail accordingly as well as pick out a new hairstyle with me. I walked out that day with such a rad, new look! I was very nervous trying out a new salon because I'm not from the area. However after intense research I felt that Janeth's seemed like a good place. When I went in they were super friendly and I was quickly attended on. I got just a trim to my hair and long layers and I can say she did a marvelous job!!! I got ash blonde highlights and the Brazilian Blowout Keratin at Janeth's Salon, I absolutely love it. Jennifer took her time to do both processes with two weeks difference to protect my hair and has followed up with me to make sure I'm still in love with the services. First time coming out of a salon feeling satisfied! I always like cutting my long hair short and usually stylists cut it too short. Jennifer cut my hair, and not only did she do a great job, but she kept checking up on me and gave me her opinions to make my hair better. Both Janeth and Jennifer made me feel super comfortable. My mom is down visiting and wanted to get a nice haircut so I discovered this little gem and boy am I happy I did! We went and she got her hair trimmed and styled a little different than before but it came out so nice that I decided a few days later to chop off all my hair and do a new short hairstyle, I brought in a pic from my phone and i have to say she did it spot on... I'd say better to my face shape and I couldn't be more happier with it! That's saying a lot for me... since I'm a person who has my hair up in a bun 24/7 day and night I hate my thick wavy hair esp in the summer but she did it so beautifully and layered it so it's. Janeth cut my hair (a short hairdo). She gave me the exact haircut I was envisioning, and it came out fabulous! She took her time and paid attention to detail, yet I was in and out in 30 minutes. For $30 for a wash and cut that comes out beautifully and quickly and is done by people who are warm and professional, Janeth's Salon can't be beat. She is a hair wizard! Also, the salon space itself is lovely, clean, and comfortable. Tip: As always when going to a hair salon, it helps to bring a photo of the look you want. I was visiting my family in New Rochelle and then ended up having to stay longer due to Hurricane Irma. I needed a cut badly and found Janeths online. Great haircut. I explained what I wanted and she did exactly that. The first time I went I was reluctant to have it cut too short and she was careful to follow my wishes. After 10 days, I went back because I realized I had been too careful and she again did exactly what I wanted. Super nice mother-daughter team. Very reasonable prices for the area. read more

I went into Janeth's salon as a walk in several weeks ago fed up with my hair color and cut. Janeth took me right away and gave me the best cut I have ever had which as it is growing out continues to look stylish! My curly hair and my auburn color are usually difficult to get right but she did an amazing job and was really reasonable and is open convenient hours. I will definitely make it my go-to place! read more

I was in town for a wedding and wanted to get my hair done for the reception with two other girls. We all asked for curly blow outs (brush curls not with a curling iron). They weren't able to do that so they had to curl the two other girls hair with an iron and by the time they finished drying my hair I had already been here for an hour and a half and was now late for the wedding. Both girls curls went straight before even leaving the salon and my hour and a half blow out was completely straight. After all that they tried charging us much more than what they originally said over the phone. My hair is shoulder length and super easy to style so no reason to take an hour and a half when all they did was dry straight. Also tried charging way more than what they said on the phone. Really wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more
