The decor gives it a rustic and charming vibe. You can tell simplicity is part of their approach. You walk in and seat yourself, you bus your table at the end of the meal, and you pay at the window on your way out--we learned this by watching the locals who had stopped in for a quick lunch. The small menu was handwritten on plain white paper--Spanish on one side, English on the other. We spotted someone diligently hand-drying clean plates and trays at the edge of the dining area. We were expecting our bottles of waters to come to the table before our food, but after a short wait the server brought it all out together on a tray. The plates are basic and we got to-go plasticware & napkin sets to eat our meal. The food was excellent! The Arroz Mamposteao (mixed rice) was especially good. After a week in PR where it seems vegetables are surprisingly scarce on restaurant menus, we were really excited to have green salad. The total meal was under $20, making it the least expensive lunch for two we've had in a long time.
