I knew Jantz had reputation for its great pastries so I took my family there for breakfast one weekend when they came to visit me. Everything was delicious, they bake all of their bread (it's probably all same day too because it tasted that fresh), and the sourdough was the best I have ever had! Three of us ordered omelettes that were also amazing! Once we were seated we were served quickly by a young woman who had great customer service! We didn't wait too long for food even though the place was packed. I come from Orange County and there are lots of great places to eat but I can't think of any that tops Jantz for the quality of their food, great atmosphere, and quality of their service. We were truly looking forward to our 1st visit here. We had heard good things, nice and clean, the menu looks delicious. Totally disappointed. Getting a spoon for my tea was not easy. My bacon wasn't cooked well as asked, so the waitress took my entire plate back. The plate was returned with burnt bacon still rubbery, browned eggs and cold toast that wouldn't melt butter. I don't know about anyone else but browned eggs taste absolutely horrible. When I explain to the waitress I couldn't eat them because browned eggs are horrible all she said was, "Oh." I just had the best Philly cheese steak sandwich I have ever eaten! The meat was tender, and the sautéed mushrooms and bell peppers were excellent. It was all melted together with pepper jack cheese, a personal favorite! My dad had a tri-tip sandwich and commented on the quality of the meat along with the great flavor. As usual at this location, the service was excellent. From the accommodating hostess to the cheerful and helpful waitress, we were well served. Even the owner is extremely friendly and came out to our table to small talk. The tables outside on the patio were very pleasant and quiet. Everything was very fresh and the portions are satisfying. On Wednesdays they give a free slice of pie with the purchase of a meal so I ordered the coconut creme pie. Enjoyed lunch here today with my husband and our large dog. We sat in the outdoor, shaded patio area, where we enjoyed the cool breeze. Our server, Honesty, was professional and very sweet. She took good care of us, and even brought our dog a bowl of water. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, slathered with the most amazing chipotle sauce, and my husband had the Italian panini. Sandwiches came with our choice of side; we both opted for the macaroni salad. We both agreed that the salad was fresh and light on the mayo, which we enjoyed. Knocked off one star because of the coffee. The Americano was served in a tall glass mug with a 4:1 ratio between the hot water and espresso (we like our coffee strong). My husband and I wanted to try something new and different so we came here. The food was amazing and the service is way better than any place here in town. We got the tri-tip and Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was delicious. It came with a side so my husband got the potato soup and I got the rolls. The soup great and the rolls were fresh, soft and moist. It looked like an ordinary roll until you bite into it. On Wednesday they give out a free slice of pie for dining in with an entree. I had their French silk and my husband the apple pie. Both were amazing. This place also have rewards card for when you go there you can earn points, which is cool. Been here a couple of times. Their breakfast is great especially their homemade sausage. I ordered biscuits and gravy and I thought it was delicious. Their potatoes on the other hand, was not that tasty lacking some flavor. The service is good. The waiters do their best to serve you quickly during busy hours. Usually I'm a big fan of the jantz bakery.today when I went in there though the service wasn't as good as usual waited 30 minutes for to cold sandwiches which they didn't tell me when they were ready as I was sitting there waiting probably an extra 15 minutes after the fact. When I went to leave upon checking my bag after I'd already left rent realize they didn't put my pie in the bag and had to go back and get it. Ultimately very frustrating when you're on a time restraint and you expect that what you order is going to take you an hour or so it'll worth of time and that you'll get all the items you asked for... Their tri-tip sandwich could use more meat for the price but it makes up for it in quality. Although, this is no Doghouse Grill. I love the baked potato salad. The lemon meringue pie should have a custard base, unless that changes I'm not eating it. Coconut cream and French silk are to die for.
