I came here to get a quick meal while running errands. The term express was extremely misleading as I waited over 30 minutes for the food. The wait aside, when I got back to my hotel with my to go order it was not packaged properly and had leaked sauces all over everything, It made a huge mess. And finally the food was not even good. Best Japanese style food joint I've been to. The sweet potato's fries are crunchy but not too crunchy to where they feel like hard chunks. The food is also great with many dishes to choose from and combinations you can order. If you don't like something for example onion, they'll take it off and still make the dish taste amazing. I cannot rate this place highly enough. I have extreme allergies, and they go out of their way to make sure I do not get sick. She remembers me every time I go in person, and every time I order online the meal arrives just as perfect. She is always extremely sweet, and she and her family have definitely created a place that I can easily say is my favorite place in Fayetteville. I've been to hundreds of Asian restaurants and it has been a long time since I have called a place to eat my favorite. I now make excuses to go across town just to go to it, and I honestly don't mind waiting like 15 minutes for my food when it's this good. This place reminds me of a place I visited often when I was younger and I miss those days. It's nice to have a place to go where I can feel those feelings again. Plus the food is amazing too? My experience with this restaurant actually begins over the telephone. I was looking for some good Asian cuisine, but not every Asian restaurant is open on Sundays, so I found this place and began to search the menu. I was able to see some photos of different food items, but I was craving noodles, so that's what I went with, except there were no pictures of the House Special Noodles. I halt the process of ordering take-out online and proceed to call the restaurant. A female answers and asks me to hold, I tell her no problem and proceed to wait for what felt like 5 minutes. I held on so long that she forgot I was on hold and hung up on me. No big deal, because she sounded pretty busy. So I call back, she answers, I remind her that I was just on hold and she apologizes. I ask her what comes in the house special and she tells me about the beef, chicken and shrimp. I say that sounds great and I order a quart of House Special Noodles. She gives me a total and I ask if I can pay over the phone, but she says no. *Why are you not allowing people to pay over the phone?! That's the easiest way to make sure you are compensated for your service smh.* Anyway, I arrive at the store, tell her my name, she tells me the price and rings me up. I grab some chopsticks and my receipt and then I leave. *I did not check my bag before leaving the store.* As I get into the car, something tells me to check the bag. I think it was hunger, YES, hunger tells me to check the bag and what did I find?! I found rice! I'm like why did they put rice on top of my noodles. So I take the container out and open it. They put rice on my noodles because there aren't any noodles. -___- So I look at my receipt and sure enough, she rung me up for House Special Fried Rice! I'm super pissed, but I'm not trying to go back inside and risk more exposure to COVID-19, so I leave. Because of the long wait time on the phone, the fact that she forgot that I was on hold and she rang me up for the wrong dish, this place gets 2 stars. read more

I got the fried wings and the shrimp lo mein combo. The egg roll was the best thing out of everything. The wings didn't have much flavor, but they were fried well and they were crispy. The lo mein plate was horrible. The rice was pure mush, the noodles were overcooked and there were two small pieces of zucchini, a little bit of onion, about 5 shrimp. It was just an entire plate full of inedible noodles and rice. I realize I ordered Chinese food from a Japanese place, but when you can't even cook decent rice, there's a problem. WORST HIBACHI & SERVICE I ordered hibachi and for 3 people today. The menu has a symbol of a pepper for to indicate spicy food. That meant nothing when we received our tuna roll and salmon roll. The tuna roll was smothered in a hot sauce and the salmon roll was too hot for a non-spicy selection. Neither was designated spicy on the menu. The hibachi steak was overcooked and unseasoned, not medium rare as ordered. The veges were very bland, quite tasteless - the carrots were like boiled carrots you would serve a toddler. Nice for a toddler, not for adults who paid over $50 for a lunch. I called the manager for assistance and asked her to come out to our table. She didn't but instead started talking and laughing loudly amongst the employees doing nothing to correct the situation. I will never return or recommend. read more
