I have mixed feelings on this place. The service was great, food was ready quickly and was hot. The friend rice was not good though. It wasn't fully cooked and had nothing but rice and chicken. I saw other reviews on bland rice but I was hoping it was standard, it is. We also got some lo mein. That was better in my opinion but my kids didn't love it. This place used to be very good. Beware that they will try to over charge you for your order. I got 2 orders of wings with pork fried rice and an additional egg roll and my total came to $35.... It wasn't until I looked at the menu and did the calculations that she gave me the difference back.... The fried rice isn't fried... it's precooked rice and whatever meat you get (shrimp, beef, chicken, pork etc) is warmed up in the wok and mixed in... the rice is literally flavorless... The tea taste like lemonade so if you're thinking it's the typical Chinese Place "good sweet tea" it's not... idk what they add to it but it literally taste like lemonade. As I was waiting on my food they also tried to overcharge another customer and got a slight attitude when she attempted to clarify the price. It's not good at all. The food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant looked cleaner than most oriental restaurants. I will definitely be back!

First time at First Wok. Had wings. These were plentiful as an appetizer. They had a sweet BBQ sauce. Also tried sesame chicken which was a large amount of food. The chicken and sauce was fantastic. It came with fried rice. Also had the spicy shrimp and rice. Served with a good amount of jumbo shrimp, peppers and onions. We ate in and the restaurant is well kept. Bathrooms were clean. So overall tasty meal. I will come back to sample other dishes. read more

Tried them for the first time tonite and they are by far the best Chinese food I've ever eaten in Fayetteville. I've lived in Fay for many years and have tried Chinese food from all over the city. The Chinese food spots on this side of town makes me not want to eat Chinese food ever again so tonite I went looking for a new place and I found this one!!! My family loved it and the food melts in your mouth! I ordered something specific for myself and some other things for my children and cousin. I honestly couldn't stop eating their food which was chicken and broccoli was to die for!!! So juicy, buttery and tender, the broccoli was nice and soft and the sauce was great!!! I could not stop eating their food but when in finally sat down to eat mine I almost went crazy!!!! They also have nice big fried crab sticks and the Crab Rangoon and Iced tea were just as wonderful!!!!! We most definitely will be going back!!!! One thing that also stood out was when I paid I used my credit card and she asked for ID!!! I love that because no one does that anymore!!! The place is well lit and clean. I've been to first wok two times now. The first visit was decent, maybe a 3 star experience (takeout), but the second visit was just awful. I like to think I am a sweet and sour chicken connoisseur considering I have had this dish at probably 50+ Chinese restaurants, and I can say without a doubt that I have never had anything as bad as what I was given at first wok. I was under the assumption that the sweet and sour sauce was a uniform mixture that was the same at all Chinese restaurants, but my experience with first wok proved this notion to be wrong. The sweet and sour sauce is not sweet, it's some kind of bland sauce with no taste whatsoever. Not only is the sauce bad, but the chicken was extremely under-cooked and soggy in texture. My wife ordered the sesame chicken, which I sampled, and her dish was equally as bad. This is one of the few times that we only ate half our order before throwing the rest out. First Wok is also the only Chinese restaurant that I have been to that does not give fortune cookies with each take-out order. This does not surprise me considering there is a sign on the door stating that credit cards can only be used for orders over $10, and my bland sweet and sour mix was in a 3oz container. These kind of low-ball money saving tactics ultimately hurt the bottom line of restaurant, and need to be changed if you expect customers to return to your establishment. read more

I've been here three times now hopeful that each time would be better but that didn't happen. First time I went I ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken and it was under cooked. The Second time I went I ordered the chicken wings and they were way over coated. The third time I got the beef lo mein and very little beef or vegetables but tons of noodle. Also heads up they only except Visa or Cash so may need to hit ATM prior. The last time I ate there is the last time. I'm not feeling paying $9 for noodles. read more

They have actual steamed beef dumplings, which you cannot find anywhere else in Fayetteville, and real, big, crunchy egg rolls with cabbage, not spring rolls that many other restaurants sell as egg rolls here. Best Chinese in town. read more

Hands down the best. The lunch specials are great, $5.25! They have fast and friendly service. I recommend chicken with broccoli!
