I was very disappointed in the quality of the food from this restaurant. I tried it because of the great reviews but it definitely didn't impress me. The Eggfoo young was so hot and still needed to be drained more, it seemed it was rushed out. The gravy was still cold and clumpy. The fried rice was so salty, must have used to much soy sauce. My family frequents the place so I have a lot of experience with their stuff. The food is pretty standard Chinese dishes (sesame chicken, beef w/ broccoli, etc). But, this being Fayetteville, I'm pretty sure the staff is Korean and therefore their menu is spiced up with you guessed it: bulgogi and kimchi! I have tried a few of the other items on the menu but I say pass on those and get yourself some bulgogi. It's the best thing they've got! We order from Dragonhouse quite frequently when we are not in the mood to cook or go out anywhere. The delivery time is usually super fast which is awesome. The food, however, is really nothing special. It is just your basic Chinese delivery. We usually stick to the same menu items because I find that when I stray I am not very pleased, and I am the least picky person that you will ever meet. Sometimes our food is undercooked and sometimes it is overcooked. There is not much consistency with the menu items and it always seems different. You never know what you will get until it gets there. Many times when I order the lady taking the delivery order seems like she has an attitude and comes across rude. They could definitely work on how they talk to customers. No matter how clear I try to speak it seems like she doesn't understand what I am saying and she herself is not very understandable. I hate calling in orders and my husband flat out refuses to do it. One time they completely forgot to send my dinner which I was charged for. My husband called and she acted like she didn't want to send my food. He had to explain to her that his wife has no dinner to eat several times before she finally agreed to send the food. 8/19 We got take out from this restaurant for the first time tonight and it was delicious!! We aren't eating meat or dairy for a few months so it was really nice to see options on the menu that weren't the normal boring steamed veggies and white rice.. we had Gen Tao bean curd, spring rolls and the vegetable Lo menu and it was all absolutely amazing.. our son had Beef with broccoli and he said it was really good too. This is likely to be our new go to spot for take out Chinese! If you don't eat meat, you should definitely check this place out.. the prices were very good and the portions were huge!! 9/2 upgraded to five stars because they deliver!! Tonight we had schezuan bean curd, gen Tso tofu and vegetable lo mein and again the food was absolutely amazing!! The springs rolls at this restaurant are to die for. Whenever anyone moves to a new place you have to get acquainted with a city, the bars, restaraunts, the people. Chinese restaraunts are the most difficult to find in my opinion. You always have to wonder what you will find in your food, or what is in your food. Hair is one thing to find in your food, but bee's, cockroaches, ants, plastic pieces...that's very unappealing. I don't want to wonder if I'm eating cat or dog either. I've been to several Chinese restaraunts in town, this place by far and SO FAR has been wonderful. So I've been working in the Fayetteville area for the past 2 weeks. Because of my location it was very convenient to walk down to Dragon House. I probably out of 10 days went for lunch 8 times. I tried several different things and liked all of them. I can't stand some of the bad reviews that people give this restaurant. For a small owned, quick-turn Chinese restaurant you won't find anything better. If you're looking for gourmet food and service, don't go here. Everything I got was always fresh prepared and hot when served. The people who own it were also very friendly. I will continue to patronize this for my lunches while I'm here. read more

I was helping a friend move from D.C. to Fayetteville last week and we decided we needed some Chinese food to satisfy our moving hunger. Unfortunately, I'm not from Fayetteville and he hasn't lived here in several years so we took a chance on this place for our take out. It was definitely worth it. Their General Tso's Chicken had great flavor (I do prefer it a bit spicier but then I generally order the spiciest versions of anything I can get, not for the weak throated ;) I always worry about this dish too because it seems like a lot of places have a gross vinegary flavor to their general Tso's not this place. Spot on with the flavor and the texture. Their chicken fried rice was better than average could have used a little more crunch but I'm a bit picky on that front. Their broccoli and chicken was excellent. I adore steamed broccoli and it seems like this Chinese place has it perfected. The fried dumplings were meh but that was the only complaint I had. As for the bulgogi, yum. Probably what I will be ordering for myself next time we eat here. The regular cabbage Kimchi was great. Don't get the cucumber kimchi though, it's not fermented enough. Also if you find a menu for them online don't trust it, chances are its not their menu. I found one online and tried to use it to order haha didn't really work as someone took a picture of a menu from somewhere else and posted it as Dragon House. However, the woman who took my order was great about working through it with me and figuring out what I wanted. I am sure I confused her quite a bit but she had a good sense of humor about it when I went in to pick up the food. read more

Best Chinese take out I've had since I moved here. If you're from New England area and looking for "one of those Chinese take-out" places... This is it. My husband and I have tried many different places and this has been our favorite so far. The fried rice was never right at the other places. The egg rolls were usually mush at some as well. The food here is meh, not the greatest, but not horrible. It's decent for the price, at least. However, it's not always the freshest or as hot as I'd like it to be. I do have 2 huge problems with this place, however. They deliver, but only to a very small, select area. Despite my house being under 10 minutes away (according to Google maps), they won't deliver to my apartment complex. My second problem is that the lady who answers the phone is always extremely rude and unhelpful. I hate calling there because she just makes me feel like I am inconveniencing her. Food was some of the worst Chinese I've had. We got their General Tao chicken it was disgusting. It had a sauce on it that was far from recognizable. Our friends also ate here and found fly eggs in their chicken, it was disgusting. I wouldn't order form them again and we didn't even have our food delivered, it was pick up and it smelled awful inside. I live all the way near the Yadkin gate, and I always make the trip out to this place for Chinese food. It's probably the best I have since I lived in Fayetteville. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because nothing has beating NY take out yet! Everytime I go here I get the chicken w. Broccoli combo and and a side of French fries. My wife loves there house rice with there sesame chicken. Depending on her mood she would get the house soup also. I highly recommend this place. read more
