After that the car AC stopped working and acting strange. Brought it back and was told to replace the entire AC system for another 5.5k. My best example is the dealer wanted 1700 to do an intake cleaning and replace the gaskets, well I got it done for a little less than 500$. Come to find out, replacing the gasket is free since the intake has to be removed for the intake cleaning service. I did pay for the gasket. This is known as double charging and apparently it's common as heck. Routine maintenance like oil change, coils, and spark plugs is close to 1k at the dealer and less than half here. I have a full bolt on 335i pushing close to 430 hp and he's done all the upgrades and maintenance on the vehicle. I honestly wouldn't have upgraded it if I hadn't saved so much on the routine maintenance when I bought the car (coolant flush, tranny fluid/filter change, oil change, air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs, coils, intake cleaning, valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket, PCV valve,vacuum line replacement, and lastly boost leak check). I recommend most of the maintenance above when buying a used BMW or Mercedes, the last two are only needed on turbo cars, so factor that into used car price and you'll enjoy your car alot more. I saved over 2k in parts and labor and used the savings to start modding it.
