These men fixed my car, kept the price LOW, explained everything without making me feel like I needed to bring somebody's uncle with me, and had me leaving with both my car AND my bank account still functioning. I recently submitted a project inquiry on this platform for auto repair. I was seeking services to replace my spark plugs. Apollon was one of the many auto repair shops that responded to my inquiry and fairly quickly. I will be very transparent, I've submitted auto service projects before and Apollon has always responded to provide a helping hand but because of the mixed reviews, it cause me some hesitation. This time around I had a different feeling and was lead to give Apollon a try. I released my hesitations and proceeded this morning with inquiring on the next available appointment. Kostas (the owner) phoned me right away and told me to bring my vehicle in. I happy I trust my instinct, I had a fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly, and the customer service was spot on! Kostas immediately assisted me, which made the whole process smooth and efficient. I was in and out in less than an hour and a half, which I really appreciated. Another perk I appreciated, I work from home so while waiting I was able to log on to work, complete some task, and attend a few quick meetings as the shop has stable WiFi. Overall, I highly recommend Apollon Auto Repair for their excellent service, shop is easy to locate, prices are competitive/reasonable, and quick turnaround time! I absolutely LOVE this place. My daughter had her Buick repaired while she was at work. She dropped her car off on her way to work and picked it up in her way home. Very reasonably priced and below dealer pricing and way more professional. These folks don't nickel and dime for every little thing and that is appreciated. I just had my Chevy SUV fixed and I am very pleased with the service and turn around time. Great people, excellent service and good prices. Not too happy with my experience here! Just had the car checked about two weeks ago to make sure the battery was working properly, so it was left overnight in the shop. Come to find out some of my items in my car such as personal accessories were stolen from the car. They did replace one of the items. but I've also had brakes done all round and they've been done four times in total... not sure why it would take four times but I guess it's the charm over there. Also, on the same note, my dipstick come to find out was broken. Just checked it for a trip and there was no handle so I thought I would get a free one due to the unfortunate circumstances of obviously someone at the shop breaking it, but instead, I had to pay full price for a new dipstick. Which I could've got on my own accord thought we had that understanding, but I guess not. I wouldn't recommend. read more

I stopped by the shop to ask about my glowing check engine light . The owner came out and hooked up the diagnostic tool and saw it was something relatively minor. He gave me advice to see if I could bypass service and it worked. Judging by the lot and the bodies running around he doesn't need my money. But to offer a solution that took him minutes and cost me nothing made me a returning customer when I need it. read more

Great Experience. Found these guys on Yelp. Their labor rate is $130 per hour. They replaced my alternator $250 + serpentine belt $50 retail $$. Victoria is at the desk coordinating and was friendly and efficient. Total was $430 vs $1000 dealership quote for $300 labor rate and manufacturer premium parts. Good value! read more

Kostas the owner is a real person that values you first. I called to get help buying some oil and he even told me another store to help get the right one at a discount. It's the customers needs and concerns first over his own desire to push a sale. And called back just to remind me to get an oil filter and small tips to make sure I change my oil correctly. Very few human beings put in the extra time to help free of cost. So if you're talking to him just know he has your best interest at heart more than your own father. This happened 2 years ago. 2013 Accent, about 94K. Front/rear shocks-struts, front brake replacement. $1600. The shocks/struts lasted for just over 2 years, about 20K miles. I am 2 months and 2K over the warranty so cannot get them replaced. Another mechanic told me they used cheap parts, which made them wear out quickly, and helped ruin a reasonably new set of tires. Will not and have not used them since. (Not in SF I'm in Dunwoody) read more

This mechanic told my son that his car was fixed. It was not fixed, my son returned - after a back and forth, the mechanic admitted that it was not fixed. We did not pay them, weeks later- when the car was later taken to a different mechanic (Nissan Ultima), the mechanic at the new place said that very low grade 3rd party parts had been used, and that they were disintegrating inside the car, causing other issues. The moral of this story - if the work is cheap (Apollon is cheap) there is a reason why. The damage to the car ultimately cost us more, and the new mechanic said my son was in danger (the melted parts caused the breaks to malfunction) please save yourself the time and do not go to this mechanic. read more

NEVER AGAIN, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO APOLLON. YOU WILL REGRET IT! I took my car in on Saturday 11/12/22 to have rotors and brakes replaced, it took 8 hours to do the job. I returned the following Saturday 11/19/2022 at 10:30AM and advised Kostas the brakes felt the same and it should not with new brakes and rotors. I was told it takes time for new oils (break fluid) and pads to mesh I insisted it should not feel the way it felt. I was then told the master break cylinder needs to be replaced. This is where the nightmare began. I said ok replace it. I had already paid $650.00 for all new brakes & rotors. He advised it would be an additional $350.00. I agreed. Remember I arrived at 10:30AM by 4PM he said my car was almost ready & I could cash out then as he was going to leave to pick up a part. I paid him he never left to pick up a part. An additional hour past and I asked what's going on. He stated the air has to be released from the breaks, it's now 5PM. at 6PM his assistant advised me a new part was needed and I would not have my car back that (Saturday) I asked to speak with Kostas and he advised there's a language barrier with communicating with the mechanics in the shop and my brakes would be flushed and I would be out the same day. 8PM came and Kostas comes in & says "Don't Kill Me" The wrong part was placed in the car & I would not take it home but he would come in Sunday as he does open some Sunday's to complete certain jobs & he would work on my car and deliver it to me. I'm fuming as it took 4 hours to tell me the wrong part was in the car. Well Sunday came I called him 5 times and no answer. I called a friend & asked for him to go by the shop to see if he was working on the car as I live nearly 50 miles away. My friend heard how upset i was & called the shop and Kostas answered his call, not my number because he knew it was me but he answered my friend's call. so that friend call me on a 3 way with Kostas which was 2PM Sunday & Kostas said he was just waking up but he was heading to the shop and assured me my car would be delivered Sunday, well I DID NOT RECEIVE MY CAR let alone a phone call advising me I wasn't going to get it. Monday came I worked my shift and took a lift there arriving at 4PM. Left cost me $55.00, my car was untouched and NOT READY. He stated the part sent again was wrong and had one being delivered within and hour. 5:20PM came still no part. He then said he would go pick it up. he left came back its now 6PM and stated auto zone did not have the part & he called & asked his assistant to pick it up from another location. It's now 8PM the part arrives and placed, got the car about 9:30PM still no change when I test drove it, he said valves need to be drained by then he's employees were tired and ready to leave, they were waiting to be paid but that's another story, I would not leave without my car remember the work is paid for so he took his time and did not rush to finish the work. he flushed the car himself. I left the shop on Monday at 10:30PM. This was the most unprofessional service I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. My car was held hostage & in a way I was too as he took his time to complete a job I paid $1000.00 for total. This happened to me it can happen to you. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I WAS URTERLY AND COMPLETLY DISSATISDIED. His father did not run the shop in this manner. I have been a customer for 20 years. THIS PLACE IS GOING DOWN THE DRAIN. No one wearing masks or gloves , got car back w/ interior covered in grease & dirt. No seat or mat protection used , made them try to clean before accepting but still had to have upholstery cleaned. NEVER AGAIN. EVER. I'm giving them ONE STAR only because initially they seemed like nice guys. BUT... Dropped my car off at 9:30 am for a rear brake job and an oil change. They told me "Yeah, no problem. We'll get it done." Day goes by, NOBODY calls. At around 2:30 I call them and they tell me it should be ready by 4:30. Show up at the specified time and the guy tells me that they just got the parts and haven't done anything yet and that it will be roughly another hour. Ok, fine. I'm pissed but whatever. I take a walk and screw around for an hour and come back. Now my car is MISSING. Not in the lot. Not on the rack. I ask (after being ignored for probably 20 minutes standing at the counter) where my car is and I'm told "Oh yeah, he's bringing it around now." What? Who is bringing it around now? And from where? Twenty minutes later a kid who works there drives up in MY CAR from a parts run from their other location. I know this because I asked him where he had been in my car. Big soda in his hand like he had hit a drive-thru on the way and his cell phone perched on my dash holder like it was his car. And he had car parts in his hands from the other location and the bolt caps from my back tires scattered across the back seat. They FINALLY tell me that they did the oil change but NOTHING ELSE. This is after having my car ALL DAY and telling me initially "yeah, we'll get it done". Look, I get it. I'm not an idiot. Businesses get busy and things have a way of changing course throughout the day but PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL THE CUSTOMER and let them know what's going on. They did EVERYTHING WRONG. Like I said. Nice guys but NEVER AGAIN. Go somewhere else if you want reliable and communicative service. My advice, STAY AWAY. read more

I've been going to Apollon for over 4 years for repairs and maintenance. I will try and do them justice in this review. The owner and his staff are honest hard working people. I know I can always count on them to do a great job at a fair price. They have replaced my water pump, thermostat and several other items including my alternator. When they replaced my alternator it was by far the best customer service I've ever received from a auto repair shop. My alternator quit working on the way home from work. I called him the next day and described the systems and mentioned to him it could be the alternator. He gave me the name of the towing service he recommends and they came right away to take me and my car to Apollon. (I also recommend the towing service) By the time we got to Apollon he had ordered the new alternator based on our earlier conversation. He said if it wasn't a bad alternator he'd just return it at no charge. It turned out to be the alternator and they put it on as soon as the part arrived. How great is that? Fixed and on my way in a little over a hour including the towing. Another time my emission control light came on. I took it to them to have it checked fearing it would be an expesive repair. He called a few hours later to tell me it was just my gas cap. They replaced it and ran a check in the emissions system to make sure it was working correctly. Once again fast quality and fair work. So if you're looking for timely quality and trusrworthy repairs Apollon is the place to go. read more

Was on my way to work and caught a flat, this was the nearest auto repair shop to me and if not best one I've been too! The service was great, the owner Kostas was very helpful and offered to have one of his workers Victor who provided excellent and efficient service in getting my tire in top shape. Didn't even have to buy a new tire or change my flat. These guys and this place went above and beyond to help me out. And the best part is, they did it for free! What a true blessing. I took my Audi here when my alternator broke at a very financially inconvenient time for me. These guys are great! I normally would not even review a car repair place, but these are genuinely good people and they deserve the best of luck with their business. Generally, Audi repairs are very pricey. I called around several places to get a feel for the price to replace an alternator for my car (as well as replace my $100 battery which the alternator took with it when it died), and not only did Apollon have the lowest price ($425), but they were such warm, happy people. Then, of course, AAA dropped off my Audi at the wrong Apollon location. Apollon had someone tow my car, free of charge, from that location to the Shallowford one. The best part is, when I came to pick up my car, I gave the owner four one-hundred dollar bills, and a fifty expecting $25 back (since my total was $425). He smiled and handed me my $50 back, knocking my price down to $400 just to be nice. He knew I could use any break I could get (I wrote on the key tag--Please fix my alternator for the lowest price possible, Thank you *smiley face*) and he even popped my front bumper back into place free of charge, since I have a bad habit of pulling into parking spaces too far. The bad reviews listed here at Yelp I think are a bit off, as I've been taking my 3 vehicles to George and Tassos for more than 5 years and never, ever have I had a problem with getting at repairs completed economically and correctly the first time. I have had brake work, transmission, cooling, AC, general maintenence and have always been satidfied with the quality of the work done. I know they're not the fancy shops like you'll find in Buckhead (Jaguar, Lexus, BMW, Mercedes) but then again they don't have the outrageous pricing either. George and Tassos are fair in their labor rates and they do use good quality parts that in many cases are directly from manufacturer like Ford, Chevrolet, BMW, Mercedes, etc. Now to their defense, they use to own 2 locations of the same name. The main location on Shallowford Road and I85 and a second location off of Peachtree Industrial, just south of I285. However the Peachtree Industrial location is no longer owned or managed by them. Now you may wonder why I did not give them 5 stars? Well I don't think that any place is perfect, there is always room to improve, that goes for restaurants, hotels, and auto care centers. They had my car for two days claimed that they had fixed it and when I got there my bumper came right off in my hand. Charged me $50 for a service they did not ask me to do nor did I approve. Mentioned I should come back next week because they were too busy to do it. Front office woman Kk said she didn't even know my car was in the parking lot until today... despite me having spoken to her on the phone three or four times. Could never get anyone to call me back with an estimate or what they were planning to do repair wise and somehow they still charged me money? They were reasonably priced ($65 hookup fee + $2/mile) and somewhat prompt (time crawls when you're waiting by the side of a highway). I first encountered Apollon in 1983. I needed a major engine repair and basically picked them because their original location on Clairmont was near my residence. I have used them exclusively for my automotive service ever since. That first experience and every other one over the past three decades have been characterized by the honesty, concern, competence, and affordability consistently delivered by the shop. The few times there was an issue it was resolved expeditiously at no additional expense accompanied by a sincere apology. I have referred dozens of friends, family members, and associates to Apollon over the years. The feedback from these folks was unanimously positive except for one dissenter who I think was uncomfortable with a very slight language barrier. My parents traveled a hundred plus miles each way for over a decade to have Apollon handle any service beyond oil changes. You do not have to worry about being up-sold on unneeded repairs. It is much more likely that you will be dissuaded from having unnecessary work done. Allow me to state this simply and directly. These guys are honest, reliable, and inexpensive. Until bringing my car to Apollon, I had been looking for a car repair shop I could trust for many years. The first time I visited this place was after my boss recommended it. I was surprised by how many cars they had in their lot. I thought they are either very good or very slow. It turns out they are very good. They did the 90,000 mile maintenance on my car. They fixed everything that needed to be fixed and made recommendations about how to take the best care of my car going forward. I always ask a lot of questions at repair shows. They were very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. This includes the guys in the office and the guys working on the cars. After taking my car here twice in the last few months and taking my wife's car here once, I told them I would try to bring our cars to them for everything going forward. On my last visit, I just dropped off my car, told them to fix what needed fixing and call me when they were done. When I picked up my car, I ended up paying less than I expected. Also, they gave me some good tips to help maximize the life of my car. read more

I am so disappointed. My family has been trusting Apollon and George and Tassos for 30 years. Very recently, something has changed. I had my alternator die, and when it was towed in, I told them it was the alternator. They called me a couple days later saying they'd changed the battery and everything was fine. I patiently explained the battery was less than a month old, and I needed them to check the alternator. They were skeptical. But they checked, and sure enough, my alternator was dead. So they replaced it, and then had the nerve to charge me for a battery and an alternator to the tune of $550. I argued that I hadn't wanted a new battery anyway, and they insisted that once the battery was dead with a broken alternator, there was no fixing it. 30 years, and I feel utterly betrayed. I will be shopping for a new mechanic, and telling the DOZENS of friends and others I've referred to them over the years to find a new mechanic. read more

Had to replace my brake fluid line. Price was good, but waited there for 6.5 hours. The receptionist tells me every couple of hours that it would be another couple of hours. I broke down across the street bc I needed to find this gentleman. He was closed spent an hour trying to get me on the road but wasn't in the cards. Listen to Laura S. even though she's an orange head! This place is beyond terrible customer service. The only plus is that they are open on Sunday.. but that is about it! Came by for a quote on my broken right blicker light, and they were nice, said to call Monday and they'll order it for much cheaper then at the Dealer Ship, quoted me for 30.00 for headlights and 20.00 for labor, ok fair deal, I was stoked. So I call Monday and they guy who helped me Sunday was not in, so the person who answered said try Tuesday. I call Tuesday, guy is still not in, and I asked well can you please order the parts so I can get it done? The guy on the other line literally said nah, i'd rather you call back when he's in so he can help you.. WTF!! Not that hard to order freaking parts.. and set me up for a damn appointment. At first, i bought into the reviews on kudzu and thought that they were honest and good. I took my car to them first to get my brake pads replaced. But I later took my car to another mechanic cause I kept hearing screeching sounds everytime i pressed on my breaks. He is a good friend of ours and has been a mechanic for 25 years. He told me that the brakes were not installed properly and also they used very cheap break pads even though i paid around 300 to get front brakes replaced. I am very disappointed since i heard such good things before but i have learned my lesson and will never give them any of my business again. read more
