Dead flies on our table. Appetizing.
    Terese M.

We hadn't been here in some time, so stopped for a quick supper. 5:30 on a Monday evening, and we were the only customers. The server audibly sighed when we walked in as she had to put her cell phone down and stand up to greet us. She told us to sit wherever we wanted. We picked a table by the window before realizing it was inhabited by dead flies, both on the table and lining the window ledge. Not a great first impression. Our server took our drink order and filled it quickly, then returned to her phone while we looked over the menu. She gave us a few minutes, then came to take our order. I ordered the Heart Attack (stuffed jalapeños), and she said "Oh, we don't have that anymore." My second choice was chicken katsu. My husband ordered house fried rice. Both came with choice of soup or salad, I chose salad and he got miso soup. Salad was half a cup of shredded cabbage with ginger dressing. It was extremely cold, fresh, and good. It was also about 4 bites' worth. Husband's soup was "meh....it's SOUP". Our entrees came. My chicken came with fried rice and vegetables. There was a huge pile of fried rice, 1/4 cup of vegetables and an already sliced chicken cutlet. I don't eat rice, so I can't comment on that, but the two forkfuls of veggies were good, and so was the chicken. No one else came in while we were there. When we went to pay (which elicited yet another sigh from our server) there was a sushi menu, which we'd never been offered. Oh well, good to know. The food is good, if sparse. The service and cleanliness are not tolerable. We won't return.

This used to be my favorite little hole in the wall Japanese restaurant. The last 2 times eating there have been disappointing. Burnt rice, flavorless, tiny scallops. It used to be a really good place I would recommend. It is sad to watch one of my favorite places go downhill. I am guessimg the ownshership changed. I hate McDonalds, but you'd probably get better food cheaper there. The only reason for 2 stars is the salad with ginger dressing is still amazing, but its hardly a reason to tolerate everything else thats bad.

Best Asian food in the area. The sweat and sour sauce should be served as a drink. Great prices and awesome service.

We're on vacation here and wanted to do something nice for our one year anniversary! We got there at 4:36 pm and paid for our food / was out by 5:29 pm! We paid $92 for steak & shrimp hibachi, chicken hibachi, a roll of sushi, and gyoza for an appetizer. The gyoza was filled with pork and some veggies- so delicious. We split the shrimp tempura roll which had shrimp, avocado, cucumber, crab, and cream cheese. The hibachi came with choice of meat, chicken broth soup & salad beforehand, and a side of veggies & choice of fried or steamed rice. Overall, the experience was so fun and food filled us up really quick! I would come back to his hibachi again and recommend friends to go as well.

Same problem this is why: We had habochi chicken and steak with fried rice, 1. Chicken and steak was ok 2. Fried rice had a bad taste( burned tasted and didn't taste right. 3. Veggies we burned and tasted horrible. 4. Cook just slopped the food in plates and made a mess. 5. Sauces that were put in the red 2 container dishes, tasted like mayo and catchup mix, no normal sauce. 6. The waitress that took order was hatefull and in a hurry. Now the sauces they cook in the grill could have been the cause if most of this. But, we will never eat at this restaurant again ever, Poor service and food fir the cost of $80 for 2. ****warning do not eat here very poor restaurant ********

We were the only ones there when we arrived to place our order. The wait time was extremely long. It took well over 30 minutes to get our food. Then we noticed that people who placed their orders after us and some with double the amount of food received their orders before us. We ordered the shrimp lo mein, a chicken bento box, and hibachi steak and chicken. To me, their lo mein was more like udon, which I do not care for. I like more of a flat noodle, and their noodle was too thick. The noodles were sticking together and there were very few vegetables. The shrimp also lacked flavor. There were also little white pieces in it that seemed like egg but egg was not in the description. The rice in the other two dishes lacked flavor. The chicken was on the drier side and we could have used more sauce. In comparison to other hibachi places we've tried, this one missed the mark for us.

The udon was just slightly overcooked and starchy and without the usual juices. Overall pretty decent we would order again next year when back at our condo.
