My daughter and I came for a late dinner after 8, and there were no tables available in the dining area. We asked to seat at the bar where they still offered the full menu. We had gyoza for appetizers, which was average. We shared an order of crazy rolls and fire 1 rolls, which were both delicious. The fire 1 presentation, flame wrapped, was a nice touch. My daughter also had the spicy tonkotsu ramen, which she enjoyed, but picked out the pork. For dessert, the matcha mochi ice cream tasted store-bought, could have passed on that. Our server was nice but was stretched thin, took time taking our order, giving us water, serving our food, and bringing the check. The chef/cook was making the rolls in front of us though, he was super friendly. It was a little pricey for what we got, but overall enjoyable. read more

We moved out of the area some time ago and always love visiting back. One place we like to go is right here, right back to our roots. MoMo has always been a great place. The rolls are always on par, the service is always on par, and the atmosphere is right where it should be for this kind of place. Food was not the best but I went with the beef fried rice and rice was over cooked. Beef was seasoned well but not happy with the rice at all. Service was quick with seating and having my food come out within the hour. Lighting is dim and small seating. A kid kicked me when he slid in his seat and the family didn't apologize. Our meal started with a delicious miso soup and simple salad with tasty ginger dressing. For my entree, I ordered the tofu teriyaki. The cubes of teriyaki were lightly fried and the perfect texture. The sweet teriyaki sauce on the side was the perfect consistency for dipping the tofu. The medley of vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly -- a delicious accompaniment to the tofu. The fried rice rounded out the plate well. Overall, it was a delicious plate. The service was fantastic and the intimate ambiance and simple decor made for a greeting dining experience. The welcome experience has a lot to be desired. My husband and I came into the small entry way as a woman employee came through to put a child seat back with the others in the doorway area. Even though we waited for her to complete her task, she let the door close shut on us. She was cleaning tables the entire time we were there. It was late, we were in town, only sushi place open. I can honestly say I would have rather eaten somewhere else after this sushi experience. It's unfortunate, I love sushi. But boy their sushi was not on par with anything I've ever had. My sushi rolls weren't cut all the way through, they kept falling apart, my fish was more on the warm side for a cold roll, and all the entrées we got besides the kids tofu, were barely edible. This is a hard review to write because we were so grateful Momo's was open on Christmas! If big servings are what you are looking for, this is definitely the place for you! For us, however, we wished the menu would include info like that the sushi rolls were supersized and what was included in the rolls. A couple of them were a bit of a surprise. We definitely ordered too much food - and more than we would even have appetite to eat later. The staff were friendly, although because they were busy (a holiday - possibly short staffed and more customers than normal at that time of day) , I needed to get up to get several things for us, like the dishes to mix our wasabi and soy sauce and also to-go containers. If I had it to do all over again, I might have skipped the sushi and tried some of the grill items instead. read more

I went on a small road trip with my brother across the states and we stopped by this place for a quick lunch. The service was stellar and the food came out quick but my roll had what could only be explained as undercooked or overcooked rice on it. It was tough to get thru so one roll seemed enough for us. We were on the road anyway so we didn't have time to a huge dinner or anything. We split a spicy tuna roll. The tuna part was amazing and spicy. Just the way I like it. Amazing! My mother and I came in on Thursday night and were quickly sat and greeted. We shared the sashimi deluxe. The yellowtail, white tuna, and albacore were my favorite of the selection, but it also came with tuna, salmon, and red snapper. We also split a steak and shrimp entree which came with miso soup and a ginger salad. The steak was cooked to perfection (med rare) and the veggies were delicious. The few times i've come here it has been just a tad cold inside so bring a jacket and you'll be perfect! The service and ambiance are great. The staff is very kind and accommodating. This was our first food stop on our Branson trip & we were pleased! Service was fast and nice. The edamame barely had any salt but nothing some soy sauce couldn't fix. The miso soup was complementary with our meals which was nice and warm! I got a crunchy roll, 7/10. My husband got the firecracker roll and his was delicious!! Indoor dining: Branson MO We were able to dine inside Mo Mo's during our visit. The hostess led us to the dining section near the sushi bar, tables were spread apart. The sushi bar was temporarily closed. We were seated immediately and shortly thereafter a waitress came to check on us for our drink orders. We ordered a couple of bento boxes and a bowl of stir fry Shrimp Noodle. The dinner bento boxes each came with house salad, miso soup, edamame, crab rangoon, steamed rice and choice of 2 (or 3) items from a list. Food was plentiful for a great price of $15.95. Our server was polite, friendly and attentive to our table the entire time until the end of our meal and she got us what we needed promptly. While visting Branson I was wondering if there could be such a thing as good sushi or Asian food in general in the Ozarks and yep this is pretty much what I expected. Sushi was the quality of sushi I could get in any big city 7 Eleven or Grocery store...The orange chicken wasn't even on par with any of the Chinese fast food chains across the USA...The stir fried vegetables were bland and lacked flavor and even the white rice wasn't cooked properly...How do you mess up white rice if using a rice cooker?...Who knew. The best thing and the reason for the 2 stars was the miso soup was actually very good. As for the service...It was friendly and beyond excellent like all the service I find in Branson...No big city snotty attitudes like you find in many major cities unfortunately unlike most food reviewers I don't care if I get treated like dirt as long as the food is excellent...lol I will give a perfect score to great food even if service was crap...So no brownie points here. We were impressed with the interior of the restaurant and everything felt clean. Staff were not necessarily the most welcoming. My partner ordered the Kobe roll and chicken teriyaki lunch box. Chicken teriyaki tasted fresh and was flavorful. I ordered the fire 2 roll. It was presented with literal fire! While aesthetically pleasing, the roll itself just tasted burnt. This is the best priced lunch I've had! The food was great and lots of it! Friendly service, too! I had the lunch box special for $12.95 and got a shrimp tempura roll that was larger than I expected and had just the right combination of crunchy and soft.
