Extremely disappointing experience at Tai Kitchen. We arrived at 2:35 PM, well before their posted 3:00 PM closing time, and were told they were "closed." Meanwhile, they had literally just seated other customers moments before us. Every sign on the door and online indicated they close at 3:00 PM, so refusing service 25 minutes early made absolutely no sense. If the kitchen stops taking customers before closing, that needs to be clearly posted. Otherwise, customers should reasonably expect to be served during advertised business hours. The inconsistency and poor customer service were frustrating, especially after making the effort to come in before closing. Definitely not a welcoming experience. read more

When you walk in to a restaurant and one of the servers is wearing a shirt that says, "yeah, no"--believe that is the service you will get. The food here was good, and we would return for the food. But the service was awful. The wait staff was not attentive or helpful. We had to ask for take-home containers and our check. We did appreciate that there was not a TV in every corner and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. But we felt like we were bothering the waitress, and the waiter wasn't paying attention. read more

We arrived.... 2 couples. Sat down we were served drinks in a timely manner. After that the service became non existent. I had to get up (a good 15 minutes later)and remind the server we were still there and hadn't taken our order. In the time in between .... at least 4 to 5 tables were seated well after the server took our drink order. Our order did not get pushed in front of the 4-5 tables that were seated after us. Those 4-5 tables ate and left before our food even came. No discount , no apology for the oversight. We did not make a scene but left no tip. I did leave a note mentioning the service was unacceptable. Food was very good but the feeling after leaving the restaurant was unanimous... we are not going back. The service and lack of acknowledgment made this decision easy. This place is a solid 3.5 overall. Since Yelp won't let me split the stars, we'll go with 4. Ambiance is a little odd, but decent enough. The lighting seems excessive in some rooms, but to each their own. The restrooms need a major cleaning. After I went in there to wash my hands, I came out with my shoes sticking to the floor. Not fun and really kinda gross. The food was pretty good overall. I had the Tom Kha soup w/ chicken and the Yellow Curry w/ chicken. I wasn't a huge fan of one of the ingredients in my Tom Kha, but it was pretty good overall. We'd definitely return in the future for our Thai food fix. read more

Customer service is ass. The server was rude from the start. She decided to serve other people who walked in after us and hand them their menu first and when we asked where our menus were she walked away grabbed some then started to throw it on the table. We didn't get to try the food but if customer service is like that bet the food is as trash as that server. read more

Decent Thai place, the basil beef was really good flavoring minus the super chewy beef. Pho is not authentic, a thai version so no beansprout, basil on the side(did not hit the spot). Kids meal is noodle was really good. read more

My go to lunch/dinner when visiting Branson. Here's the DL: the Bangkok mango is a banger--you should definitely get it. 10/10 would recommend. The pad see ew was a little salty to my taste yesterday, the spring roll sauce was really good. The mango sticky rice is a little too sweet, and the chicken satay ..basically just tastes like a piece of plain grilled chicken. Everything else I've had there has been good. While visiting we were craving some Pad Thai, so looked at reviews and found this gem. It is a fun spot with all the 'usual' Thai options. It has a wonderful seating area but we took it to go this time. My Mom who likes to stick with her meat and potato staples said it was an amazing dish after trying their mild Pad Thai with chicken. I consider that a huge win! We liked the portions and the dedication to details as well as the ease in ordering and take out. My wife and I visited Thai Thai on a Wednesday evening date night. The restaurant was clean, smelled delicious, and was relatively quiet. We were greeted immediately and seated in a booth. We were waited upon by two waitresses, both were incredibly nice. I asked about the Fresh Spring Rolls (we are generally disappointed in ones we do not make ourselves). The waitress said they were good but that the Shrimp Rolls were the best...didn't sound like our favorite, so we went with the Fresh Shrimp Spring rolls...they did not disappoint us. For the main course, I asked for recommendations (which I wholly ignored ) but we were guided toward the Pepper Steak and the Siam Noodles. Instead, my wife ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken (spice level 3) and I ordered the Thai Style Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken (spice level 4). Both dishes were extremely delicious. We eat Thai food a lot...we aren't experts on what's "authentic" but this was some of the best we'd had in a while. The fried rice had curry powder in it which was different (gave it a bit of an Indian feel) but I liked it a lot. Spice-wise a 4 was right on the edge of being to spicy for me (just the way I like it). The fried rice also came with two battered shrimp, which were a nice little addition. The amount of food was ridiculous. On a normal day, there would have easily been enough of each dish for two meals; however, the food was really good and we were extra hungry...so there was only one small box of leftovers. Appetizer and two entrees with water to drink was just shy of $47 including a generous tip. We'll definitely come back when we are in town. read more

We tried this restaurant on a cold Saturday night in January. We had no idea what to expect, but thoroughly enjoyed both of our meals. It's a casual setting, right on the main strip in Branson. We were seated almost immediately, and the service was great! We had our entrees at our table before we had even finished our appetizers! They didn't seem super busy when we arrived, but they told us the wait would be 45 minutes. Branson was busy, so we stayed. My bf got the yellow curry and said the veggies weren't cooked well, the carrot was still very hard and the potato did not taste good. I ordered the pad woon sen with fried tofu and it had a very different taste from traditional pad woon sen. I knew once I saw the orange color. Staff is straight to business, not a bad thing. I ordered drunken noodles with seafood. First off the seafood was 3 shrimp and 1 scallop and a few of the other thing, (pictured below) automatically disappointed. The dish is overpowered by basil, I had a few bites and it was too much, was unable to eat anymore. When the bill came there was "extra" charges for the seafood even though you could pick a meat for that dish, there was also $2 extra just for boba in the drink. The extra charge for boba is a bit much imo. The stickers were good. The up-charge for seafood would be fine if it had been severed appropriately. Under new ownership, the cuisine has turned into a more commercialized version of what was enjoyed on past visits. The hostess/drink order person was uninterested in us, and bordered on rudeness. The interior itself is usual of Thai restuarants. The Red Curry enjoyed on this visit tasted like it was a huge batch that was served over the day. Nothing special, or necessarily bad about it. The blank stare I got when I asked for a "spice tray" should have warned me. I was told that the garlic pepper paste on the table was all they offered. The dried chili flakes, marinated thai peppers, or vinegar brined jalapenos were not present. They always brought out little coffee flavored candies at the end of the meal. These have been replaced by fortune cookies. Sometimes it is the little things that make an impression. On future visits, we will not be making it a point to visit any longer. read more

Review solely on the service. The food has always been good. ** Several times visiting Thai Thai we've had less than stellar service. Not always but often enough that I had the forethought to take a few pictures. We ordered drinks and appetizer as soon as we were seated, the drinks came in due time. The appetizer came shortly thereafter delivered by our server and our order was taken. That's pretty much the last we saw of our server. After a while our food was delivered by someone, our empty appetizer plates stayed on the table. We began to eat, I'd finished my diet coke by that point, no server to be seen, no refill to be had, appetizer plates still on the table. I snapped a picture knowing what kind of day it would be. *Pic 1 Most of the way through my meal and still no server, no refill, appetizer plates still on the table. *Pic 2 The server who had brought us our food happened to look at our table, asked us if we wanted refills, and we got our refills after I was done eating. Appetizer plates still on the table. *Pic 3 We sat for quite a while longer, I got through most of my second drink, my wife finished her food, and there we sat, again, this time waiting for our check. Empty plates on the table, appetizer plates STILL on the table (to me showing lack of service). *Pic 4 So service is 50/50. If you catch them on a good day, yay. If you don't then it takes away from the experience. We now only go if we have time to waste, just in case. Again, the food is good, no complaints there.
