This lawyer stole my money. I paid him $3700 to fill out my husband immigration forms. He let my husband time expire before we couldn't apply anymore. He doesn't return phone calls, emails, or text messages. Now my husband is under deportation orders and going to court. I already contacted the bar. I will also take him to court with another attorney. This is the most corrupt lawyer and it is sad that immigrants are losing their money over him and he preys on their hopes and dreams. I had to worst experience ever with this lawyer. I paid upfront for their services to provide a simple demand letter which typically takes a day or less (we're literally talking hours here). After I sent payment, the lawyer Luis Jaquez disappeared for weeks without any warning. Also, he did not answer my emails, texts messages, or phone calls until 3-4 weeks later. When he did respond all he had were excuses of how busy HE was. This guy is joke, he puts his own personal agenda ahead of his clients or maybe he just caters to clients with more money. I was forced to hire another CA contract attorney and they got my demand letter done in one day. The real kicker is that after I told him I was going to dispute the fee I paid him using my credit card, he had the nerve to confirm that he provided the services to my credit card company and they billed me 100% for the 0% of work he did. To me, this conduct demonstrates fraud and lack of ethical common sense. I was recommended by multiple attorneys to report him to the CA bar. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this person or place for anyone. Run away!! Scroll over to the next attorney, I'm sure they at least refund you the retainer fee for the work they didn't perform. Worst lawyer that I have ever had to deal with. Basically in a nutshell after wasting 7-8 months I called USCIS to find out they have nothing filed. The guy never answers the phone, texts, or emails. Of course after I told him I called USCIS he responded within 20 minutes. I wouldn't use this piece of shit even if I was paid to use him! I started working with him on January last year because he was recommended to me he started on a good note with me then he started lying about submitting my paperwork and keep telling things that it wasn't true. He literally stole 3,200 dollars from after I told I can not continue working with him he stopped answering my emails calls and went couples of times to his office and he was never there I ask for my money back I even send him the money for the application fee for immigration that he ask for even that money he never return so yeah I have emails and text messages from him telling me that he was working on it but he never did so don't hire this man for nothing in the world his fake and full of lies.
