This is my favorite TexMex in this area. The food is consistantly good and the service is generally good if they are only moderately busy. The enchiladas and tacos are usually my go to. I like their rellenos but I ask them to leave off the salsa so they start off crispy. If they were in a major Metro area in TX they would rate 4 stars but I grade on a curve taking into account the local competition. Today I got beef enchilada, potato tart and relleno sans salsa on top like I prefer. We all enjoyed our meal & excellent service today. read more

Mediocre and overpriced. Salsa was okay, but everything else came across as underwhelming. No ambiance at all. If you just want overpriced, bland meat and cheese, this is for you. Not even any onions or cilantro to dress up the tacos. read more

One of the best Tex-Mex meals we have had in a long time. My wife had beef enchiladas and chili relleno and I had the same. The rice and beans were some of the best I have had and my wife said her enchiladas were the best she has ever had. Give 5 stars all the way. Keandrea was our waitress and was outstanding. read more

This place is in my home town, and my family and I HAVE to eat here when we visit. The service is somewhat slow, especially when they're busy, but that is my only complaint. The food is superlative! I live in a larger place now with several other Mexican food choices, and I still can't find a restaurant where I'd rather eat than Hidalgo's I recommend the green beef enchiladas, chicken fajita quesadillas, California burrito, chile relleno, and chicken strips- they are all my favorites. The place was packed to the gills, which made the service time longer than usual, however, I was served promptly with chips and salsa and my 32 oz unsweetened tea was always full. When I received the Nachos Supreme with fajita meat, the food and plate were hot and very well prepared. The meal was very tasty and filling. I will definitely be back. read more

This Restaurant is the top of line Mexican food. I drive one hour back and forth just to get a good supper. The Carne Guisada is the bomb. The Tacos are the best I have eaten in a long time. The chicken fajitas are very good with just the right amount of seasoning. I would recommend anyone who wants good food to go and eat there. Now to mention the employees are very polite. read more

We had a group of six dining here tonight. One ordered the beef fajitas. She said they were very delicious, but a little on the tough side. She gave her dinner four stars. One ordered the cheese enchilada plate with green sauce. He gave his dinner five stars. One had the beef enchilada and taco plate. He also rated his five stars. Two of us had the stuffed sopapillas- one beef and one chicken. The topping was wonderful. We were surprised that the sopapilla was very sweet and really did not go well with the topping. We rated that dish four stars. The service was quick, friendly and accurate, five stars. So overall we are giving this place four stars. We would eat here again. read more

I was not impressed.I ordered a chicken enchilada and a taco with beans and rice. You have a choice either red, green or cheese sauce. Well I ordered the red sauce. The sauce was not red. It was brown. Does it look red to you in the picture? The rice was not done. Their water tasted funny so I had to order a soda and I am not a soda drinker. However, the service was nice and polite. Outstanding food and very attentive wait staff!! Highly recommend!! Not only did they seat and serve us, when we came in with a family of 6, literally 10 minutes to closing time!! That alone speaks volumes! Their beef fajita sopapilla was delicious as well as their California burrito!! Can't sing heir praises enough, we will 1000% be back and make this a regular stop! read more
