I don't recommend this location! So many hidden rules and don't even get me started with the owner of the location. Throughout this process Daralyn was a sassy pain in the ass. Customer service was no where to be found. When you own and run a business you listen to your customers because they're the ones paying. There was no support from Daralyn or excitement to help us. It was a simple. Yeah yeah yeah, no no no response. If you want to have a fun wedding space to have a real party with loud music and drinks for your wedding THIS IS NOT THE LOCATION! You can't hire your own DJ. They have a strict list of DJ's that are ok. But not great options There's so many restrictions with noise because of near by neighbors. No champagne popping, no confetti. NOTHING. There ceremony location grass is a disaster. So many patchy dirt areas and muddy. Daralyn legit yelled at our wedding coordinator during our send off in front of all our guest and my wife and I. Stormed off in such a unprofessional way yelling "get off my property or imma charge you" Ruining such a beautiful day for us. We understand if we were 30min over or 1 hour over time but our send off was 4 minutes over 10pm. No room for flexibility. So much hype for this place but we weren't impressed for how much they charge. I would recommend for the owner to learn how to manage stressful situations instead of storming off like a 5 year old that got in trouble by their parents. read more

A secret, magical outdoor garden that is nestled in a woodsy location. A fairytale-inspired, intimate setting with hidden features, such as a garden tunnel, babbling creek, and cozy firepit, sprinkled throughout the place. If what I've described is where you envision getting married, I recommend you consider Jardin del Sol (JDS). I was a June 2023 bride. A year ago, I came across JDS and the new owners (Daralyn and Casey McIntyres). It was right after COVID, a place that still needed extra love, but we could see the vision they had for the venue. We reserved the date and locked in our rate, which was and still is affordable. Over the next year, we've visited several times and saw the progress of love, effort, and labor poured into the venue. On our wedding day, it was the perfect place to get married. We had a good experience with Daralyn during the planning process. We shared our ideas and preferences, while Daralyn worked to help us achieve this while balancing the limitations she/the venue had. On the day of the wedding, given the issues we had with our day of coordination services, we were so fortunate to have Daralyn and team to help fill in gaps where needed. I am a firm believer that the best experiences are the ones that are not perfect. And as much as we all want wedding days to go flawlessly, things happen. It is during these moments of mistakes that define the true character and capability of a vendor. There were a few things that had happened at the venue (e.g., venue had one less easel than discussed, cake cutting table in the wrong place, etc.). No excuses were made and the venue immediately fixed them. The level of professionalism, responsiveness and care stood out in our experience. Throughout the planning process, I also had some issues with another one of my vendors when doing a walkthrough at the venue. I recall several moments that Daralyn was there to defend me and ensure that I was not being misled. I felt relieved knowing she had my back. So to sum it up, a wonderful venue, great service, and a fun experience. I was so glad that we had our wedding at Jardin del Sol. read more

This is a beautiful venue that my wife and I got married at. So why the 1 star review? The owner. If you want the TLDR, she threatened to cancel the wedding 3 times within 24 hours of our wedding. That is stress that the Bride and Groom don't want or need on the day of (and the day before) the best day of our lives. My wife and I did a few tours of different venues and this one was the best looking, except I feel like the Bride's Room looked like it was slanted with a bad paint job. Not a big deal, it was fine for my wife. Daralyn was very nice and helpful in the beginning and actually helped us plan some things and remind us of what we needed. But, when we did a day before rehearsal or walk through, whatever you want to call it, my three groomsman and I decided to celebrate in the parking lot with one beer. Daralyn came out into the parking lot and told us we needed to leave or else she would cancel the wedding for the bride and groom and that we wouldn't want to be the cause of that. This was the day before the wedding and I was the groom. She used no tact and just threats. Also after the rehearsal my mother, who was a professional chef and used to manage a catering business, said she would be supplying the Caesar salad for the wedding. Daralyn said that my mother would need to get approval from the catering company that my wife and I were using for insurance purposes. My mother said that was fine and contacted our caterer. The caterer approved. Day of the wedding comes and while my mother is using the provided space to prep the salads, Daralyn comes up and asks my mother for her food handler's permit. My mother does not have one on her. Daralyn told my mother needs to remove everything in the next 30 seconds or the wedding is cancelled. On the day of our wedding this is how Daralyn decided to talk to my mother in front of a group of people, one of which came and told me about this incident. The last time she threatened to stop the wedding was after our cake cutting when one of my groomsman was cutting the cake and handing it out because he also did not have a food handler's permit on him. While we were packing up my wife asked Daralyn if she would let us know if we forgot anything and she said that she would. The next day we realized that we didn't have any of our white wine left out and a couple people even said it was never put out. My wife texted Daralyn to ask if we left the 20 bottles of white wine in the fridge. Daralyn said she would look in 3 days and get back to us. She did not get back to us and we had to leave for our honeymoon. My father-in-law finally got ahold of Daralyn who informed us there were only 5 bottles left and in the dumpster. read more

This place should be making your wedding dreams come true. The owner is atrocious, her staff is awful, and they seem to pride themselves on making your wedding day more stressful than it needs to be. Do you want your liquor taken by the staff? Go here! Do you want to be pulled away from your wedding for a sudden change of (fully contracted) timing? This is the place! Do you want a useless DJ because you can't hire anyone but the coordinator's boyfriend and he will just play Spotify as your dance music? Congrats! This is their requirement! Do you want to have the owner come tear down your decorations at 7pm because they are "worried you won't be moved out by 10pm"? Look no further! If not obvious, I wish nothing but the same garbage service against this place than they put upon their clients. The owner is a horrible person and I hope she learns to treat people as humans rather than disposable objects. read more

We came to this location to attend the wedding of my friend's granddaughter in mid-September. The location is pretty and perfect for an outdoor wedding event and dinner reception under a very nice canopy pavilion. It was an all-inclusive event location for all of us. A few of us live in Washington; however, we came from locations as diverse as "Bush" Alaska, Southcentral Alaska, New York city, and the Faroe Islands, half a world away. i wanted to love this place so much :( i had been looking around at venues and this one caught my eye. we went to go visit and they had an open date for our very short engagement. our first meeting was fine but after that everything seemed like it got so complicated and difficult. the owner, daralyn is so hard to work with. our second meeting a month away she was just coming off so rude, shot down everything we wanted, seemed annoyed that we were even there! we didn't feel welcomed at all but we had already paid so there was nothing we could do. we had to choose from a very short list of DJ's that were not great at all. after multiple long meetings with them, they still got everything wrong that we asked of them. daralyn came during cocktail hour and said we needed to turn down the music because it was too loud (even though this is her preferred DJ and they know the level they can have at this venue), we couldn't pop champagne (she said it was a snohomish law but it isn't, we checked. it's her own rule) or even pour it on our champagne tower because we personally don't have a liquor license. daralyn was giving our design floral team and our coordinator such a hard time with everything! she yelled and screamed at our coordinator right in front of us and all our guest during the send off because it had just hit 10:00 pm. we had the venue until 11 but all sound (even guest cheering us out) needed to immediately stop because she said so and threatened to charge us if my coordinator did not end it right that second. yelling at our coordinator to get off her property then stormed right off (literally stomping her feet as she walked away). all the other staff that was helping that day was absolutely AMAZING. daralyn, not so much. like i said, i wanted to love this place but daralyn definitely made our day harder and i would not recommend this place unless you want to be stressed and have tons of limitations on things you can do. read more

I got married here in September of this year and I will give a genuine review. This place is beautiful, of course.. everyone at the wedding thought so except this will not be your place of venue if you like to have your own ideas, want a lot of dancing and want to have an easy going planning process. During the process we felt that Melanie had a lot of say to what it would all look like and felt slighted by this. She wasn't very flexible in terms of what we would want and what music is to be played (we didn't have a problem with the music being friendly but the level of noise) our DJ told us that she couldn't increase the volume because of Melanie and we were let down. The planning was difficult because with her contract you have to choose from her list and the DJ has to be from her list which really limits your own style.. What was kind of weird for me was as we were leaving the venue and walking out with our sparkler exit, she was standing there too right next to the DJ. It just felt like a kids birthday party at that point.. considering this place being her home I think there are definite limitations to it. We had to get a baby sitter for just the 5 kids that were attending with their parents.. which was also another thing we had to take care of on top of the other wedding planning. Anyway the venue is beautiful but it is not very flexible from the time you sign the contract on. I do know there are a lot of other outdoor venues in snohomish that will accommodate to your needs so it's not bad to keep looking around as well. read more

I held my wedding at jardin del sol just last month in the end of June. I know that recently the owners changed so that might make some of these older reviews less relevant. I had moderately sized wedding of about 80 people. The reason I chose this place was because it had great natural beauty and had a garden like atmosphere. My family and friends were in awe of everything. The place got cleaned up nicely since switching owners; plenty of remodels took place just before our wedding. If you're on the fence just come and take a look, the pictures don't do this place justice. read more

It's kept and maintained well, its unique and classy at the same time and it decorates itself without you spending thousands of dollars on decorations! She has pride in her home and is very careful who she lends her beautiful garden to. That, to me, means she loves her property, which explains the immaculateness of the place. She is passionate for you and your wedding. She prepares alternative plans for a fickle weather which is very very much needed in Washington. Jardin del Sol is the perfect garden wedding venue. My husband and I wanted to find a venue that reflected the natural beauty of the PNW. Jardin del Sol definitely fit the bill: gorgeous landscaping and scenery, with a spacious patio and wedding tent catered to hosting romantic summer vows. We chose Jardin del Sol as our venue not only because of the idyllic backdrop, but also for the value and professionalism exuded by the owners. Melanie, the owner, shares her wealth of experience and insights in a very kind and caring manner, which really helped us relax and enjoy ourselves on the big day. Always quick to respond or set up a walk-through, it felt like she was just another family friend by the time we got to the day of the wedding! The reception and ceremony areas are separate, but adjoined by a romantic pathway. We LOVED the ceremony area: a garden grove of trees and flowers with the perfect arch as a blank canvas for our florals. White wooden chairs (as well as tables and the main tent) are included, and Melanie helped us arrange for linen rentals and an additional tent rental (since we had a forecast of rain that did not happen luckily!). Melanie and her husband have put in a ton of work to make the property perfect for hosting a wedding: landscaping, finding additional white vintage pieces for check-in tables and dessert bars, and furnishing a gorgeous bar and fire pit. The bridal barn is perfect to get dressed in, as well as to spy on incoming guests before the ceremony. :) Additional bonuses for the venue: ample parking and parking attendant included, field and rolling hill for lawn games and play area for kids, additional cabana area for groomsmen/hanging out, beautiful lighting for the dance floor, wine barrel cocktail tables, etc.! Some considerations that may not be for all: limited kitchen space for caterers ( no on-site burners/ovens, just refrigeration and prep areas), everything is outdoor (the tent is massive, so we weren't worried even if it had rained, but something to consider), and music off before 10 (Snohomish city rules). I feel so grateful we were able to secure Jardin del Sol for our August wedding. Thank you for helping make our wedding the perfect day! Buyer beware! We had booked this venue for my son's August wedding. They required payment in full of almost $5000.00. Due to Covid, plans had to change. The owner was unwilling to work with us. They refused to refund us any of the money or allow us to reschedule for next year. She is a crook! Jardin Del Sol is a very pretty place to get married at. The big problem is that there is a huge problem with mosquitoes. You have never seen so many Mosquitos in your life, making it a major downfall to renting this place. They tell you they spray twice a week but believe me, it doesn't help at all. The owner, Melanie hung around all during the setup and several people came and said she was pretty rude, and abrasive towards them. Other than the fact that it is beautiful, I would not rent this place again or recommend it. read more

Amazing outdoor venue. Our wedding was a dream thanks to Melanie and this beautiful place. The ceremony area is picturesque and lovely, and the reception area is perfect for a great outdoor meal and dancing your heart out. Melanie is the sweetest, kindest, most helpful person you could hope for when looking for a venue contact - she went out of her way to make our day absolutely perfect (even though she had no obligation to) and I am so grateful. She was always quick to respond to emails and phone calls, and was very organized and helpful when it came to planning the wedding and getting together all the necessary venue / rental paperwork. I was able to ask her as many questions as I needed, and she never made me feel silly for asking anything - always incredibly polite and genuine. Very awkward experience visiting this place as the owner's father met us and assumed that I would be marrying our wedding planner rather than my fiancé (I'm white and my fiancé is Asian, the wedding planner was white, and it seemed like that was the source of the assumption). My wife and I had the pleasure of having our wedding at Jardin Del Sol in early August and words cannot describe how wonderful the venue is and how easy it was to work with Melanie. I'd like to first mention that my wife and I had communicated with Melanie well in advance and we very set on 8/3 as our wedding day. Coincidentally, that weekend was also Melanie and her husband's anniversary and she was more than willing to accommodate so that my wife and I can have it on the day we wanted. She was very responsive and proactive with the coordination throughout our wedding planning process. While the venue did have some vendor restrictions/limitations (primarily DJ (understandable given Snohomish County's sound ordinance) and Caterer (additional fee for a caterer outside the preferred list)). These restrictions were clearly discussed with us early in the process and is outlined within the first few pages of the agreement, so my wife and I were aware of the requirements and felt comfortable with the venue's preference. The days leading up to the wedding day, Melanie was very flexible with us in the timing of our rehearsal as well as allowing our photographers to visit the venue Friday morning to get comfortable with the surroundings (our photographers were from out of state and Melanie was so kind in allowing us to do this). On the day of wedding, the venue was looked spectacular. The ceremony looked amazing, the gazebo was a prime spot for our photobooth and the amount of shade from the trees helped make sitting outside of the tent bearable for our guest. We were concerned with early August being one of the warmer times of the year in Seattle, but to our surprise, the trees provided the perfect amount of shade. We had originally planned for a later sparkler send off, but as the day went on, we realized that we needed to move up our sparkler send off time and Melanie was more than happy to accommodate our timing. Our wedding guests absolutely loved the venue. All in all, the venue was phenomenal, and Melanie was such a joy to work with. We could not have asked for a better venue to have our wedding and highly recommend this venue for all future couples if you want an unforgettable wedding! read more

I do appreciate her casual style because we were capable of handling things on our own But when she did come, she kicked out our DJ for being too loud. There are nice pathways that make it easier for grandparents and older guests. They have a really nice dressing area and the restrooms were way better than some other places we looked at. We got Married here about two months ago and it was everything I hoped and dreamed it would be. The day could not have been any better.
