A few years ago I purchased a ring and bracelet for valentine's day . Along with it I purchased the maintenance/service plan. A few weeks ago the bracelet snapped at one of the links, it's delicate so i can see how it wore. Since purchase they upgraded their computer system and my account transferred but what i purchased didn't. thankfully Jared recognized their pieces , as I had the boxes and bag they came in but the receipt has been filed back in 2021 , not easily accessible. When i returned with the boxes & bag, Vinny & his Manager had found my order, and printed it waiting for me to return. Louis was one of the jewelers on staff that day. He took it in back to ask how long it would take for the repair- i told them no rush due to mother's day weekend, I wanted a mom to have a cherished gift before my old bracelet was repaired. When louis came out, not only did he repair it but he cleaned it and i was out of the store in less than 15 minutes. I was so surprised that they went so far to help me, without my receipt they could easily have denied the return but they went the extra mile for their client . A quick note, the repair was a tiny dot of solder at a hinge. The repair would have been over $150 without the repair/maintenance agreement purchased with the pieces . I think the original cost of the plan was $75. it was well worth the cost . I highly recommend Simi Town Center Jared. I've had nothing but great experiences every time I've been in this store . My fiancé and I came in to shop for our wedding bands. We worked with Vince who was really great and knowledgeable about products, fits, etc and we ended up finding wedding bands for the both of us. The kicker is while we were just chatting I mentioned that the jeweler where my fiancé got my engagement ring from (downtown) would not resize my ring for the excuse of it having a pavé band and the diamonds would come loose so if I wanted a different size we'd need to buy a new setting. This excuse sounded odd to Sada, the GM, who then stepped in to inspect my ring under a microscope and asked a lot of questions on how I take care of the ring, and then showed me how the band itself was actually broken and soldered together incorrectly by the original jeweler which is why he refused to touch it with a sad excuse. Sada then gave me a couple of options on what I could do to insure my ring doesn't one day break and get lost. I decided to go with the option of having it repaired by Jared where they would cut out the bad part of the band and solder it correctly so I never have to worry about it being compromised again, and I finally was able to get it sized down! I'm so incredibly grateful to Sada for identifying the issue, kindly explaining it to us, and giving options. She definitely didn't have to as the ring was not purchased at Jared but I appreciated it so much. Definitely saved me money and gave me peace of mind for the future! I am so pissed off right now that I went right home to write this review. My husband had a beautiful emerald and diamond pendant made in white gold, custom designed for me from my old engagement ring. A reputable jeweler in New York designed it and he gave it to me as an early Christmas present. I was so surprised, I cried. And he cried! We went looking this afternoon (Christmas Eve) to see if we could find a nice white gold chain to put the pendant on. After a disappointing visit to Macy's, my husband suggested we try Jared's. We entered and were greeted by a saleswoman, who took us to the counter where they had white gold chains. I mentioned that my husband had the pendant made for me and showed it to her-I added that I wanted a fairly thick chain as it was appraised for over $3,000 and I didn't want to take a chance on a flimsy chain that might break. And do you know what that snarky b@tch said to me? "You should have an independent appraiser give you the appraisal because the jeweler can make up any number." And right after that, she told me the pendant had a "design flaw" because the "bezel isn't big enough to thread a thicker chain through". So basically, in a matter of two minutes she insulted my husband's gift to me (my husband heard the whole exchange and was quietly seething.) I worked at Saks Fifth Avenue and this is NOT how you treat a retail customer. She almost seemed as though she was annoyed by having to assist me. She could have complimented the pendant, told me how pretty it was, how thoughtful my husband was to have it designed-maybe a "Let's find a chain that will work for such a delicate piece." My husband was ready to spend up to $1,000 on a quality chain-but I can tell you this...it certainly won't be at Jared's. I made 3 large purchases, and sizing at this specific location. When I needed a warranty repair and wanted to have my stone replaced with a family heirloom. All three employees swarmed me. Their tones changed and they became irritated and rude. Quickly they barked and said "we don't do that". It's company policy you must by a diamond from us!! I said I did. And the setting. I'm just replacing the diamond. They were awful and refused. I asked for that in writing and the lady got super nasty claiming I was trying to argue. (1500 to 1530 hours on feb 12) I normally do not write reviews, but this one I had to. So I walk in this store in Simi Valley to purchase charms for my lady. I am standing at the counter without even a look my way or even a I'll be right with you. Plain ignored by an older white lady and a older white male in a suit. Another white girl came in after me and the older guy helps her and continues to ignore me. I almost walked out but one of the patrons had to say go help him, I'll wait. Finally the older white lady helped me. There was a tall female who is in pre med school that worked there that came to help the older white lady. If she hadn't interjected I would have taken my money somewhere else. The med school woman was very nice and helpful and saved the transaction. I know by the way I may look one would not be able to tell i am college educated, making six figures, and a family man. Very frustrating to see this type of stuff still happens. The lady who answered the phone was clueless and rude. Kept asking me "what's your order number?" "What size is the single stone you want to purchase?" and every time I kept reminding her, I just wanted to know if they had any pink morganite rings at this location. Finally she said "well if I had the skew number I could look it up . . ." Clearly has NO IDEA what she is doing or what they have in stock. My granddaughter, who is 12, bought a Disney necklace at Disneyland and before she left the park it broke. She returned the necklace. I bought the same necklace and went to Jared and asked if they could put the charm on a better necklace. They were assume! I purchased a silver adjustable necklace and they removed the charm as I waited and made sure Grandpa new how the adjustable chain worked. They were selling Teddy bears for St Jude Children's Hospital Research. My wife and I drove 40 minutes to this location to get our rings cleaned, we got there at 11:57 am thinking that they open at 11, but on Sunday's they open at 12:00. We ringed the door bell to have them open the door, and the Jared associate looked like he was not happy to see us there so early (12) did not greet us or say anything. We asked to have our rings cleaned. He just went to the desk and asked " phone number " then went to the cleaning station looked at them for 1 minute and dropped them in a solution for another minute and he was done. We've had them cleaned before and they took more than 2 minutes. It felt like we were not welcomed there, it felt like they wanted us out of there asap. I had one ring repaired and another cleaned. I was given a pick up date. I called before I went to pick them up. I was told they would be ready at 6 pm. I get there and the cleaned ring was ready. The repaired ring was not. They had both rings for a week. 7 days. At first it was unable to be found. ??? Then I'm told the repair was not up to the standard of the manager and sent back to be fixed again. ??? The following Monday I had to make another trip to pickup the ring. I will be taking my repairs elsewhere. If needed. They had my phone number and could have contacted me if there was a problem. I should not have to make a third trip to be to get the work done. I had even paid for the work when I took the rings for the cleaning and repair. I suggest a little more due diligence when offering customer service. read more

When she needed her engagement ring and wedding band sized, we went to Jared in the Simi Valley Town Center mall. Since they have a lab in-store, most common jewelry fixes are done right there. We stopped in the store and were very pleased to find out that the job would be done next day. When I went in to pick the rings up, Perry Jacob assisted me. He was everything a business could ask of an employee- extremely likable and pleasant, informative and knowledgable, he took his time, and his work was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting him and learning from his experience. If I was still in business, I would clone him and never again worry that my customer service was not the very best. I don't suggest purchasing watches at this location. Purchased a TAG watch and it scratched within two hours of office/business use. When discussing it with the store they took the watch to review and with out my permission they buffed it. We felt uncomfortable owning a $1,400 watch that would scratch so easily. When we attempt to return the watch less than a week later, they would not take it back. This was the FIRST and ONLY time they said all sales are final the moment the watch is resized. This was NOT told to us prior to resizing the watch. They ran the credit card and resized the watch PRIOR to handing us the receipt. So they voided our chance to returning and DUPED us into keeping an inferior product. Also purchased a citizen watch from them a year prior and the black wrist band is completely rubbed off down to the metal. If you want over priced cheap quality product then this your place. "Promise Date"(Due Date), that's a joke. Commutation is useless both by phone and/or email. Costumer Service is no help when they have a standard written generic answer for everything. Until you call them out. Example, Simi's Jared has repair lab and do all their work in-house. Costumer Service gave some generic answer about something about UPS deliver not working on the weekends and delay on shipping out of the store to get it repair... I told Costumer Service that Simi Store has in-house repair lab and suddenly changed their story to "oh, The ring is completed, but its in the repair lab but the manager don't have access to the repair lab to get my ring" and to make an appointment to get my ring. Why ? if the manager can't get into the repair lab to get my ring why should i go there ? Its been 3 day pasted their "promise date" of picking up my ring and no commutation on status of the ring either. If you like being in the dark, this is the place to go. read more

I had gotten married a couple of weeks ago and my wife went in to have her ring resized. They told her that they were unable to resize it because one of the diamonds was damaged from something getting under the setting. We would have to replace the diamond and have the setting fixed... I told her to stop what she's doing and go see Dave at Anderson Jewelers in Moorpark instead. After Dave inspected it, he told her there was nothing wrong. The diamond was just dirty and needed to be cleaned. So he cleaned it and resized it for her, and it was cheaper than what Jared's had quoted her. If you like Jared's, then shop there. But if you have any questions in the back of your head about the service or honesty, do yourself a favor and go to Anderson's and ask for Dave. read more
