I discovered this place about 7 months ago and I've been here at least 30 times since then Lol. Food it's delicious and really big portions. Great service. Ambiance it's always nice, especially when it's not busy, it's so relaxing. Best Thai food in town. The food is great. The prices have gone up over the past few years but where hasn't it. The staff is to the point. I always get take out, but from what I've seen it is a little quiet place with lots of seating. The only thing that I detest is the service card fee. It is literally against Visa policy to charge a fee. I suggest having cash when coming here. Other than that I'll be a returning customer. read more

I ordered sticky mango rice and it usually comes with a coconut flakes and a sweet milk. I poured the sweet milk and flakes over the rice per usual turn out they were garlic flakes which completely ruined the taste of the dessert even when I took off the flakes. When I called the man he had the audacity to gas light me and tell me, they usually give it with garlic too and it's optional to pour in dessert. When I asked for a refund on the sticky mango he said it was basically my fault for pouring it in the desert. I don't appreciate being gas lit (lied to) and he did not even attempted to resolve issue to replace dish. What sucks is that they could've told me sooner or even given me a heads up but rather deny and act as if I'm in the wrong l. I have ordered for years the same dish in different places and never been given garlic flakes. What a waste of my money. read more

Portions were great, went home with leftovers. So overall the food was great, however the fried rice the egg was egging if I make any sense. But other than that I have no complaints. Service was great they are so kind and funny they speak Spanish too! As for the atmosphere it was mellow it was quiet. I really do hope yelp brings my them in more customers. Hours of operation are 11am - came around 11:10am drove about 1hr to come here and went inside sat down. There was 1 lady there that did not speak English, was trying to tell me to wait 15 more minutes & then suddenly someone from their security camera started talking ..... saying They open at 11:30am. I like Authentic Thai food. This place is NOT. The first and last time I went, we ordered several different dishes to try. I spent almost $70 just to find good Thai food in my neighborhood. NOTHING was authentic. Nothing tasted like authentic Thai food. If you're going to "Americanize" your food, then you should warn people. read more

This was my first time trying this place in person. The first time I tried it as take out. Since it was pretty good I thought id try it out fresh. The food was good! My favorite was the orange chicken and the shrimps wrapped in wanton sheets. They were really good id try them on the suggestion of our server. Speaking of the service was really great, very welcoming as soon as we walked in. From the cooks to the waitress/servers they were all friendly and welcoming. It is a small place with a calm and quiet ambience. It's not loud other than the small chatter of the other tables. It is a small place so coming here you might have to wait if tables are full but it's a good place for some Thai food. read more

Love this local spot in my hometown! There menu flyer says everything is fresh and they do not play! Every dish is made to order and is so incredible! Today I ordered the Ruby red curry with tofu and a side of steamed white rice and it was amazing. Full of flavor, spicy, and all the veggies were just the right amount of crunch! Yum! Food was great !!! Started with wontons which were fresh crispy and delicious. That sweet and spicy sauce on the side just made everything so perfect . The spicy seafood soup was also good . The pad see ew was full of flavor the broccoli was fresh , loved it ! Definitely coming back soon. The place is small. My favorite place to come to. Their soup is good I wished they served straw mushrooms instead but the taste is great otherwise. The other dishes we have tried are good as well. The service is good The only thing is that it is a small space and if there is people it feels sort of uncomfortable but overall it's usually lonely. read more

The fact that you close form 3-430, is absolute stupid. You close between dinner hours for early eaters and when we arrive at 430 the food isn't ready until 5-530. I have been coming here since 2017 and today was my very last day. Idk if they had a change in management a couple years back or so but the changes are are unfortunate. Don't even think about ordering online the moron in the front said "that third party, you call next time". Why the hell is a third party taking your orders, you send me the confirmation, and then fail to fulfill them!? read more

I love coming to Jaruwan for lunch. The food is always fresh and tastes great. They've been delivering locally way before other food delivery services so that's always been a plus. You can also order food via the Yelp app. The different options they have are really good. They have a variety of lunch and dinner specials as well. Their appetizers are a good size. I think overall their food is delicious. It's never disappointed. The servings are pretty large. If you're dining in, you'll get to enjoy their recently renovated restaurant. It's location is in a small shopping plaza and you're likely to miss it if you're going to fast. There's a small parking lot and street parking is also an option. If you're looking for tasty Thai food and you're in the South Gate/Lynwood area, I definitely recommend Jaruwan! read more

The popcorn chicken was seasoned very well and had the perfect fried, crispy texture you'd expect from popcorn chicken. What really made this unique was the sauce that it was served with. I am not sure what exactly the sauce is, but it tastes like a ginger scallion sauce that is served with Chinese boiled chicken. The sauce is a little more elevated and flavorful than a traditional ginger scallion sauce. I would've never thought to combine popcorn chicken with it, but it works! The fried baos were the most surprising to me. I was keeping my expectations low because I usually think frying something that's not normally fried doesn't always bode well. Fear not, the baos were fried perfectly. They were fried lightly while the inside kept your typical bao consistency. Also, in case you were wondering the type of bao, it is basically a steamed bao with ground pork, and I think an egg yolk inside. The flavors felt very much like traditional dim sum, yet new and fresh. Hats off to the chefs and the creators of these dishes. So innovative while still keeping the familiar Asian flavors! About one year and half this restaurant jaruwan has been closed by health department for two months because was infested with rats and roaches and the owners tell the people and the costumers they closed the restaurant case they was remodeling that's really nasty and disgusting people specially the lady owner she's acts very nice when she talks to the costumers and she talks very bad to employees..that's way you see different workers and waitresses every time because the owners steal the tips to the waitresses and that is against the law. Was just driving by and was looking for something to eat for lunch. found this small place while driving and saw they had a 5.99$ special. This included a generous potion BBQ combination. not was was i satisfied but also had for to take for later. For its great price and service i would differently go back with more friends next time for a good dinner. I got the calamari I was actually looking forward to it but not so good is tasted old and bland and it looked like it was deep fried 2 times and oily !!
