When I recently moved to the area I found Dr Gill, the Dr that I was working for recommended her highly! Dr Gills staff are nice and attentive, the Dr has seen my kids for any of my concerns and specially now with the outbreak! A virtual visit was our choice and she was more that glad to do it! I'm glad we found her she is always giving me tips on both my son and daughters exercise and eating habits she takes her time talking to both my child and myself about them and evaluate them physically mentally and emotionally she is genuine and a sweet person. Avoid this Dr. at all costs! What a nightmare of a Dr. and the office is cramped, overcrowded with stuff and felt grimy and dirty. We came for the first time today as new patients. We will not be going back. The Dr. is slovenly in appearance; greasy dirty hair, no attempt to look put together at all. Zero manners. She came in after (assuming) the PA was finished doing everything. No hello, welcome, or anything. The first thing out of her mouth was "What nationality are you??". I tell her American, she then says "No, THIS name." And points to my married last name. I tell her where my husbands name comes from and she then says "I need to know these things." What the actual f*** lady? She then proceeds to badger me over HAVING to HAVE an extra inhaler. I must have told her 10x we don't need a Rx for 2, just 1. After the hassling she then says, " Ok, I write for 2." Again, what the actual F*** lady?! Why ask me and hear me tell you no 10x just to do what you want? Then she tells me that since we used to have Kaiser and what a headache they are to deal with that the form I filled out for records release is pointless and that I need to just print out what I deem important from my kids medical records. Combined it is nearly 800 pages of medical records. I am not a Dr. I don't know what is medically necessary to sift through. We start going back and forth over this. And I tell her that I just want the note for missed school and we will be on our way. She then starts to argue with me to give her the records release form AFTER she just got done telling me how pointless and what a hassle it was. I told her that is not necessary, we won't be back to see her and that she was beyond rude and pushy. She then sat back done and readjusted her attitude and apologized that I felt that she was being pushy. Horrible experience. I do not recommend her or this dirty Drs office. IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR CHILD AT ALL DON'T BRING THEM HERE. My child had a small rash under her ear which appeared to look like ringworm so we brought it up to the doctors attention & she shook it off stating that it might be baby acne and it is fine to not worry. Months pass on by and we notice it began to spread and returned and they confirmed it was ringworm. Knowing how severe it was she prescribed us a low dosage -- which ultimately made it worse. We took her in again and they upped the dosage -- which did nothing but lighten up the rash. When we called her yesterday (3/25/21) she told her assistant to tell us " that there is nothing else she can do " and when we asked if she can refer us to a specialist she told us " she can't and we will have fine one ourselves " read more

When she gave my baby his shot , she was so harshly aggressive he was literally screaming to the top of his lungs. Took my son to this doctor for the first time and had a terrible experience. I should have checked the reviews because as you can tell many people have had similar experiences as mine. Her office felt dirty and was not comfortable. I proceeded to speak to her nurse which was very nice expressed my concerns and waited. She came in and was so rude and not personable at all. THIS IS A SCAM Dr. Gill recently saw my newborn in the hospital, she was not good, but not particularly bad. Diagnosed my daughter with tongue tie without taking a physical look, just from verbal reports. It's fine, I didn't care, I have my own pediatrician who will take a closer look. What really annoyed me and feel like their practice (612 W. Duarte Rd. #206 Arcadia, CA. 91007) was based on a lie and scam. Before we received her service at the hospital, we specifically asked if she took our insurance, and the answer was YES. (And you are not supposed to get a separate bill from them anyway because of the No Surprise Bill Act, everything was supposed to be included in the one time hospital stay copay). So I spent time to call their clinic and explain to them I am not supposed to be getting this bill, it's a mistake, please rectify that. Their staff (it's probably a contracted company) said they will look into it. Today, I received a repeated bill, no note of our conversation, no change, nothing. I just wasted my time. So here I am. My blood boiled because they are doing this to POST PARTUM WOMEN, who have their hands full, on no sleep, and the last thing we have the energy for is to fight a bill that you are not supposed to end up with. Let alone TWICE! Because of their incompetence to fix a problem! My next step is to report this to the business bureau. Just letting you consumers know about their scam, and I will let the government take over. read more

Our appointment was at 2 and didn't see the doctor until almost 4! This was all so we can see the doctor for literally 10 minutes! Dr. Gil was perfectly nice to my family and she seemed to really like children. She was very kind to my son. That being said, I would not recommend her to anyone and I think she desperately needs extended education to brush up on current medical information. Here are just a few examples of the crazy advice that she gave us. Thankfully I'm not an idiot and I read up on a lot of books and peer reviewed studies to confidentially smile and ignore her bs: First visit in the hospital: don't feed the baby whenever the baby cries. Just feed every three hours because boobs need time to fill up and it is bad for the baby to eat all the time. 1 mo: you should give baby rice cereal in a bottle so he sleeps at night. (By the way, do not do this. Baby could asperate and die. Gil, why don't you know this?) 2 mo: why are you still feeding him on demand? He should only be allowed to breastfeed every three hours, and it's time to introduce formula because breastmilk don't have enough nutrients. (I had an oversupply. I gave away 700 oz and tossed 300+oz over 1.5 years.) I only stuck around because I knew I had to switch insurance soon, but God. She needs to retire or go read a book. Read several books. I was directed to DR. Gil because I had an after hours emergency and my daughters regular Dr. was off for the weekend. My daughter is 10 weeks old and I am a first time mom. She went in for her 2 month checkup on Friday (today is Sunday) and received vaccines. She was doing fine up until today, she was inconsolable, screaming all day and didn't nap. Again I am a first time mom so I was scared and decided to page the DR. DR Gil answered half asleep (it's 11:30pm) she bluntly and rudely answers and says "give her a pacifier" I say my daughter won't take a pacifier. She says "feed her" (as if I haven't done that!?) I say I have fed her!! She says "alright then take her" like excuse me!? I understand it may not be a big deal to someone who is used to these things but I just can't believe the lack of compassion and decency some of these doctors that work with children have. She didn't ask me any questions or offer any type of suggestions other than stating the obvious. I feel bad for anyone who is actually under her care. If it weren't for me being so worried about my baby I would have went off but I just ended up hanging up on her. read more

Dr Gill is my daughters pediatrician and we're been so blessed to have her. Dr Gill and her staff have been so nice and very helpful to us. Yes we do have some appointments that we have to wait longer when they are busy but some days were pretty quick. During Covid we have gone for physical and follow up appointments and we do feel safe in their clinic. My family has been with Dr. Gill the past 15 years. I have 4 sons that see Dr. Gill, 3 of them she has taken care of since birth (at Arcadia Methodist) and I must say that Dr. Gill is an awesome Pediatrician! Dr. Gill is attentive, stays on top of my children's care and I love that she is available whenever I need her. Whether it is by phone or by walking in to the clinic, Dr. Gill makes herself available to my children and is able to address any concerns I have with my children right away. She will accommodate if needed. Yes, the office is a bit small and could probably use an upgrade but that does not take away from the care that Dr. Gill has been able to provide to my boys. The office is clean and I feel safe having my children there. Dr. Gills office staff is very respectful and very helpful. At times you will find students helping out around her clinic and I am ok with that, I think it is a great thing. As a student you have to start somewhere and I am glad that Dr. Gill is open to having students in her clinic to teach and train. In regards to wait times, like any other clinic there will be a wait to see the Doctor. If you don't want to wait schedule your appointment first thing in the morning, first appointment returning from lunch or last appointment of the day. Dr Gill saw our new born in the hospital and so we decided to see her for our two week check up. To start her office is tiny, dingy and seems like it needs a lot of work, it feels really outdated. We waited for quite a while before we were taken back into an exam room. Dr Gill saw us for ten minutes barely looked at our baby. She seemed in a big hurry and didn't allow us time to ask questions. She ushered us out and didn't even say a word about our babies condition which she diagnosed at the hospital. When we brought it up, she just said "she'll be fine." Not impressed with this doctor who was more concerned with the medical rep offering free lunch and her two interns who were very distracted. We quickly changed our doctor and will not be back. Dr Gill should take a course in interpersonal relationships. If she is dealing with new parents she needs to do better. read more

I took my infant to her and I noticed that she would speed up appointments when I had questions she would have the nurse answer them and walk out of the room. My son had a rash and I asked her what I should do and she said she could write me a prescription for a cream. I asked the nurse what the cream was and he said it's from her special prescriptions and it would be $30.00 I paid and received the cream. I looked it up on my phone and it was an $8.00 2.5oz candela cream I could buy on Amazon. I immediately returned it and never booked another appointment again. Such a scam. We met Dr. Gill when our daughter was born a year and a half ago and we really liked how she didn't treat us like a number, which our previous pediatrician did. We switched our boys over as well. She is very accommodating and is available anytime. Our previous pediatrician was very hard to schedule an appointment (had to be months in advance) and forget about same day. Dr Gill was my son's pediatric in 2018. I decided to change his pediatrician after she refused to give my 2 month old his vaccines. First of all my sons insurance wasn't covered under mine anymore (even though I had the temp medical), so I called if they could still take him in. They said yes. On the day of the appt, it turns out no they couldn't do his 2 month shots. So ok, I'll pay out of pocket, they didn't allow that either. I immediately called Harbor UCLA transferred my son and scheduled the appt with them. Best hospital and doctors. Now 2019, unfortunately Dr. Gill is the pediatrician my kids get due to the hospital they were born in (love the obgyn Dr. Baggot). So once again, I have to deal with this doctor the 1st month old life of my baby b4 being able to completely change insurance again. I take her in 1 week after birth for a follow up on her jaundice which was 17 coming out of the hospital. Dr. Gill requests to do another blood test. Blood test comes back 15, which is considered high for a week old. Well they have the lab litterly across they're building and she was sending me all the way to LA. During the visit: She was the same uninterested, in a hurry, rude doctor I remember. I waited in the exam room asks for the medical records of my baby. I tell her I dont have them that they need to put a request through fax. They did, I waited in the room and breastfed my baby. Minutes later she comes in and tells me if I was able to do it. I said no u guys have to send the form to release the medical records. Then, she asks me Are u done? me: Huh? No, I'm still breastfeeding. Dr gill: I need you to hurry, I need the room. me: oh sorry, no one told me I was able to go home and that u guys would just wait for the records to be sent. She has no type of bedside manners and is very inpatient. Oh and yes on my 1st visit with my boy, she tried selling me her organic medicines too.. a huge no for me. Money hungry much My baby needs follow ups for her jaundice and she couldn't even schedule me to keep an eye on it. I had been going to the hospital so they could check her. I have been taking my younger babies to Dr. Gil for a while now. We have been extremely happy. She is NOT a med pusher she is rather the opposite and is concerned with treating root problems not symptoms. I have never had a Dr who actually will sit and listen to you and all your concerns. Our prior Dr's came in and told us what they wanted us to do rather than hearing the parent . She involves you in the process and doesnt have that I am in a white coat and you are just a parent mentality. read more

Let me start off by saying this doctor is beyond rude and completely unable to handle the stress of being a pediatrician. That being said, I went a couple days ago to take my 4 year old daughter for a follow up visits because she had an allergic reaction to a medication. As soon as she barges in the medical room she right away says: "how can I help you." (In a very stern tone). 1. Hi how are you great doctor thanks for asking 2. It's my daughters visit and I spoke to you already about what was happening with her. 3. What's the point of having toys in the doctors office, waiting room, and examine rooms if you don't let the kids play with them. Her response to that was "toys make too much noise and I have a lot of work that needs to be done and I can't concentrate." Well sorry to burst your bubble doctor but this is the job you went to school for. If you don't like it then maybe you should go for another career. Preferably one that has nothing to do with kids, considering the fact kids make too much noice along with the toys you provide them with to play with. When I go to the front desk after my horrible visit she puts on a show acting like she was doing me a huge favor with other locations I can go to when my daughter gets sick again when the office isn't closed.
