The whole experience from our first visit to the wedding day was very well coordinated by the catering sales manager Julia. All of our wishes were accommodated. She was so helpful in walking us through the process, letting us know exactly what we needed to do and when. The wedding could not have been better! All of our guests were so pleased with the elegant ballroom and scenic views of the surrounding golf course. Everyone mentioned how delicious and plentiful the food was as well as how attentive all of the staff and servers were. There was a peaceful air to the entire event. They never asked her for an email to send a confirmation to so we assumed we did not need one since we spoke to an actual person to make the reservation. On the day of the round, we got a little lost getting there since the road leading up to the course was closed off. (With GPS.) So we called the pro shop and the woman who answered was extremely rude saying "I DONT KNOW WHERE YOU ARE. DONT YOU HAVE GPS?" So we just had to figure out a way to go around back roads to get to the course ourselves. Then when we arrive, this same woman snapped at my mother saying we don't have a reservation. Whoever took the reservation over the phone clearly did not put us in the system nor tell us that we needed to go online. It felt as though this woman treated my mother poorly because my mom has a thick Asian accent and a little difficult to understand. So she was short and impatient instead of kind and helpful. For this alone, we will never return. As for the course, it was in okay shape. The greens are tiny and slow. Tee boxes are in rough shape. The holes are on top of each other so we kept having other groups in our fairway hitting their ball back on to their own fairways. There was no snack/bar cart, literally no offerings. It's not a $70 course by any means. It's a $40 course at best.

Instead of simply sending us away, the staff at Sourland Cycles went above and beyond. This is a great , top notch public golf course right across the river on the Jersey side. I have…read moreplayed here a few times and every time I play I like it more. There are quite a few memorable holes including 16 and 18. The course is in excellent condition and very close to private course conditions, if you didn't know it was public you may not notice. They just added a new clubhouse which was desperately needed and it is very nice. The course was windy and it is very hilly and seems to be shaped with the natural contours of the land. It is very playable and if you drive well you can score. The greens aren't overly undulating but some of the pubs can be tough to get too. It is very accessible to eastern Pennsylvania and closer then many courses I play in the area. I look forward to getting to know the course better and yesterday I pared the 18th hole which made me very happy , last time 18 won!
