He gave me a rundown on how he operates and does his walkthroughs, what he looks out for and what we should look out for. He was knowledgeable throughout the house, top to bottom. Gave pointers as well since my wife and I are first time home buyers, what to maintain and how. We received the report about a day or two after and it was very detailed. Hi, I'm just reaching out cause thou did an inspection on a home I was purchasing a little over a year ago. I wasn't gonna bother contacting you, however, you need to know......i just had an electrician here too change my electrical panel you a higher voltage & was informed that my home is not grounded! This error has caused me a lot of money & could have potentially caused us our home. How does something like that go unnoticed?? You came highly recommended & this was a huge error on your part. I know that it is after the fact & you probably won't do anything about it at this point, but I am extremely disappointed with what we have found out & felt that you needed to know this before I pursue it any further. I did business with him and he was thorough, professional and taught me a great deal of info. However..... he does business with ADT who contacted me after receiving my info from Jason. The harassed me and even cursed me out in text messages, sent 3 sales people to my door and would not stop. I posted a kind review on Google. He responded by stating my review was phony. I posted another review on Facebook. His response was to disable the review feature. He also pays a third party company that dumps positive reviews on his Google profile (common for businesses to do this). My gripe.... why didn't he just apologize on ADT's behalf and reconsider his business dealings with ADT rather than calling my review "bogus". He has the address that i had him inspect and he could've reached out to me immediately. Bottom line is he just doesn't care about it. read more

I was referred to Jason from my realtor, and I had him inspect 2 homes for me. There were definitely pros and cons to his work, and I will try to be as fair as possible in this review. He was on time, accessible, and professional each time, and a nice guy. I liked that he seemed reliable. Reports came to me in a reasonably timely fashion, looked thorough, and he was accessible to me for follow-up questions after reviewing the reports. Tiny side note: the report had formatting issues so there were a lot of overlapping texts and pictures and whatnot that made it hard to read or understand at some points. Be forewarned though: the inspection agreement and the inspection report are full of releases and limitations of the inspection, so basically a general inspector has no real liability for things that are missed. Likely all of the issues that were uncovered after moving into my house are things that were released when I signed the agreement. This is the reason for the 3 star review, because he basically did what he said he was going to do in his paperwork, so I can't really fault the guy and blame him directly for what's happened, which is a lot of crap that I naively believed would have been caught by the inspector. It really is my fault in that I should have known better than to rely on a general inspection exclusively. Here's something I know now: when buying a home, the level that your average inspector digs into the home is minimal and pretty useless other than for egregious issues OR if your home is relatively new and problem-free. Next time, I will FOR SURE be getting an electrician and plumber to inspect the house as well, because whatever extra cost that adds to the purchase could potentially save tens of thousands of dollars worth of ugly surprises after. I suppose I can only blame my own ignorance for the $40K+ (and growing) I've had to shell out in the first 2 months of home ownership. Sucks. read more

Beware!! Don't use!!! I paid Jason Escobar to inspect the house I purchased, and was ripped off! I found out that the seller was hiding a leak from the toilet into the basement, from it constantly running. The valve next to the toilet was shut off to hide this. This guy was paid to inspect the house, but apparently didn't do his job!!! He should have found this problem if he had turned the valve on!! Now, he won't make good on it, and has even told me I will be hearing from his lawyer. I wonder what else he missed, that I will find next. His report was also very vague. Don't make the same mistake I did!! Find someone else who is professional enough to do what they are paid to do!! I didn't have the opportunity to shop around since I was just told by his wife Diane Escobar (the real estate agent) that he would be doing the inspection! read more

We called Jason for an inspection on the house we were going to buy in 2015. We were kind of in a rush and he opened his schedule to accommodate. I met him at the house and he began his inspection. Jason took ME on a tour of the house. All the while pointing out problems (and possible solutions along with estimated cost) that he found. He tested every outlet and our electrical panel, where there was a legitimate issue that had to be resolved before closing. He checked everything from the basement to the attic, interior and exterior, dragging me along the whole time. I was exhausted! Jason took the time to explain everything he was doing.
